Would be very happy with Adebayor, but I just cant see it happening. Going from Arsenal - Man City - Real Madrid - and to Blackburn? The lad is only 27 years old. Why would he go to us? Can see spurs (Harry as always) bidding for him or something. He wont be playing for us when the season starts, I just cant see it!

Daily Mirror article about BRFC:-

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Blackburn-Manchester-City-transfer-news-Adebayor-is-Rovers-target-as-owners-hand-Kean-30m-warchest-also-Villa-James-Collins-Birmingham-Roger-Johnson-article747906.html

10 million pounds for Emmanuel Adebayor???

I think he would be an excellent signing for us but could we match his wages tho???

Kean has realise that we need a top quality striker at the club

Going to be made to look like fools again if we make a move for him. He won't come in a million years.

Yes, but not so different it verifies pretending Sam is great and Kean is a moron.

You do realise that Plastic Head was one of Sam's worst critics right? By his standards he's going nice on Kean.

I'd rather have Vucinic. Never liked adebayor much, and huge wages + attitude doesn't help. Not a natural finisher in my opinion, although his scoring record does say otherwise. Gunners, Real Madrid and Man City all provide better and more opportunities than he'll ever get at Blackburn, I just don't think he'll be as succesfull.

Start at the top of the list. I don't think he'll come either but what's the harm in trying? I don't think the press will start liking us overnight just because we make a move for a lesser known player.

adebayour linked

Adebayor would certainly be a marquee signing, there are question over his temperament but for the ability of the player, surely we'd have to overlook that. I would love to see Adebayor run the length of the field to the Darwen End when we beat the dingles in the cup next season, that would truly be a momentous occasion.

They'd take cover if they knew what was good for them...

No, but I was one of Sam's biggest fans, but still think we should be fair to whoever is in charge.

I think he would flourish once he is made the 'main man' again, he hasn't been that since he left Arsenal. I agree he's not a natural finisher but he can score from any angle or situation, unlike most other strikers. Vucinic would be ace of course, but based purely on footballing skills I would choose Ade. His wage demands must be through the roof though, can't see him taking a pay cut to come to us.

Looking forward to nicko clearing things up in the morning :P g'night all.

Only thing is that the clubs we approach might have read the same headlines, and maybe demand us to show the colour of our money?
