ultrablue Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 just threw up a little in my mouth seeing Phil Jones celebrate a Man United goal (it was pretty tasty though... the goal, not the sick)

Stuart Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I have to say it is sickening seeing Jones storming around the pitch in a United top.
LeChuck Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Looks like Smalling might make the right back position his own this season. Jones might be getting a lot more playing time than we first thought, he's probably ahead of Evans in the pecking order.
Stuart Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Cracking Community Shield match. Just a shame they couldn't both lose!
Hekla Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Fantastic match, hope the Premier League lives up to these type of games. Phil Jones was excellent as usual, he has an outstanding future as we all know. Smalling and Cleverly also a fantastic talents.
Backroom Tom Posted August 7, 2011 Backroom Posted August 7, 2011 Blue Moon....you started singing too soon!
Backroom DE. Posted August 7, 2011 Backroom Posted August 7, 2011 United look like they're going to be even better this year than last... difficult to see past them for the title
Stuart Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Anyone else get the impression that Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp can't stand each other?
CheeseOnToast Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Really no surprise that Man United won deep into classic Alex Fergie stoppage time. When MU need a goal, it's at least four minutes added. If they're up, there's at most three minutes added. Drives me crazy, that.

They weren't far from scoring a goal from a corner 20 seconds or so before Nani pounced.

Backroom Tom Posted August 13, 2011 Backroom Posted August 13, 2011 Somebody please rid the football world of that nasty little scumbag Joey Barton, absolute disgrace. Peter Walton hang your head in shame after that. And you Taylor, shocking behaviour.
cmb211087 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Like I just wrote to him on twitter, he punched Peds last season and claimed it was a slap, and does entirely the opposite this year. He is a muppet plain and simple. Funny guys
Stuart Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 what ear did he do it to cmb? He seems to do it every ear...
Amo Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Barton proves what a nasty toad he is, and why I'd never accept him at this club. Hauls Gervinho to his feet for diving (when it was a valid penalty shout), then takes a tap to the face and goes down faster than a Thai hooker.
LeChuck Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Chelsea vs Stoke is the fourth PL game I've watched this weekend, every single game has been awful. I hope it's just down to it being the opening weekend. It doesn't help that David Pleat is commentating this game either. I hate him. He still refuses to pronounce a lot of the foreign names correctly.

Ossydave Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 A lot of players seem like they can't really be arsed at the moment, I agree all the games I have seen have been poor too. At least Barton admitted he went down a bit too easy though, most players would have either done that, or lamped the fella with a right hook.

John Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Don't hear many Stoke fans complaining about their style of play..........whoops.
LeChuck Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Woodgate has played the full game for Stoke and looked excellent. I wonder how many games they'll get out of him this year. Could turn out to be one of the best deals of the summer.
