Dolan would 100% stayed if we'd offered him a decent contract early on. The point he purposely leaves out is once they know they are being low balled and their agents put the feelers out then they won't sign unless better terms are offered. The club have now even made it public all they were offering was one year extensions on the same terms in a clear 'take it or leave it move' because they wanted to cash in. They'll continue to do this and we'll continue to lose the better players whilst they also won't offer better contracts to long serving academy grads who've proven themselves championship standard. ย Therefore we'll lose them as well. 1 Quote

If they're currently on less than ยฃ10K/week and don't want any more thanย our alleged wage ceiling of ยฃ10K/week, then I'm guessing none of them. chaddyrovers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) GB tried to get Dolan to sign a new contract 2 years ago and he didn't want to enter negotiations cos he was changing agents.ย Tronstad said in a Norwegian podcast last summer he wanted to return to Norway at the end of contract. Posted the link last week to a poster who posted that info Travis was never staying here when Eustace left and of course he would publicly say he wanted to stay here, in case he didn't get a move. Listen to Travis Derby country interview last week with their BBC Derby, he wanted out from here.ย ย Edited 1 hour ago by chaddyrovers 1 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, chaddyrovers said: maybe ask me for Tomorrow night EuroMillions numbers aswell.ย Well you seemed pretty confident to say multiple times this summer that Brittain and Tronstad would sign new deals. So, how many of that lot who expire in less than two years do you think will sign new contracts here? Going off recent history, I will say none, with the outside chance of one, being Wharton because he's a Blackburn lad. 1 Quote

Don't pay adequate salaries and your staff go to someone who does. Lose Wharton and Carter, as we will, and the slide will be on. Feels like he believes more in austerity. 1 Quote

I thought Brittain would cos of Ismael.. None of us knew Tronstad wants to back to Norway at the end of his contract.ย 17 minutes ago, MarkBRFC said: So, how many of that lot who expire in less than two years do you think will sign new contracts here? But also need to look.at different player situation. Dolan never going to re-sign here, Travis never to sign a new contract here and would follow Eustaceย ย Don't agree. Every club have wage budget and some higher wages than others but its results on the pitch that matters. Your wage bill need to in line with what you can afford Our self imposed wage cap has already seen us lose Travis, Hyam, Dolan and Brittain. 4 players who would be starting here every week, 3 of which went to other championship clubs.ย We'll never retain any good players, as they will always want to leave for more money. So the results on the pitch will inevitably get worse as the quality of the squad is constantly reduced. 1 Quote
