Our fans are idiots for targeting him and our owners are even bigger idiots for forcing him out. He had the last laugh when he sent Brum down after they ditched him, wonder if he'll laugh when we're down. Probably won't care if he gets Derby into the playoffs. To be fair to our fans (I didn't or wouldn't wave a snake!) human nature is to lash out. If you have something to lash out at in front of you, or thousands of miles away who couldn't give a toss, people will pick the physical being. Rightly or wrongly. Quote

I went to Derby away last season and it was one of the worst days I've ever had as a Rovers fan, up there with the three relegations I've seen and the losses to Burnley, probably more embarrassing as well tbh. We had the pissed ripped out of us for 90 minutes non-stop by the home fans and then all our players went up and started hugging Eustace at full time. There was some Rovers players sat in with the away fans as well who looked mortified. 1 Quote

To think just over a year ago that was us, it's fucking heartbreaking really. The club was never on the up. There was a togetherness within the playing staff and fans etc but the club has not and never will be on the up under venkys. 2 Quote

I just can't dig out fellow fans for expressing their frustrations in a way I don't agree with. 1 Quote

They should use their own eyes and brain (if they have one) and get angry with what has been happening right in front of their faces for 15 fucking years. Their behaviour was completely and utterly cretinous and embarrassing, and they deserve all the shit they get given for it. As the old saying goes, if you don't want to get called an idiot then don't fucking be one. 2 Quote
Rover down South Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Despise their fans for the way they took the piss. Given our circumstances with our owners you’d hope they’d feel a bit sorry for us!! Always said I wish John Eustace well. Thoroughly enjoyed that short period he was here. Despite all the shit behind the scenes he galvanised the players and fans alike. Club should have backed him no question. A lot of credit to Trav as well. When he was in the team here last season it clicked. Same happening there. Quote

JHRover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The perfect Venky master plan is coming to fruition. Our 150th anniversary plagued with failure and embarrassment, probably relegation to League One whilst the manager and players we needlessly forced out sit in the top 6. It isn't an accident, it isn't bad advice, it's unforgivable. 1 Quote

He is the proof that it is the owners that are the problem. Why wouldn't you be bothered that a capable, up and coming manager left a club in 6th place to join a club who were bottom of the league. Then 12 months later, the clubs have completely switched places? That's why people like me keep bringing him up, we're not obsessed with him, I've nothing against him, he seems a decent bloke and he's obviously a good manager. We bring him up because his last year and a half in football sums up the last decade and a half at Ewood Park. Edited 56 minutes ago by StHelensRover 4 Quote

Because he was shunted out because he possesses the one thing the hierarchy have never possessed in the last 15 years - ambition. And if it has to be pointed out indirectly by bringing him up to some of our bone headed fans who thought he was the devil incarnate then so be it - they have got the club they deserve. 3 Quote
John Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago I always keep an eye on the managers and coaches who did well with us - from Sparky, Souness, Eustace, etc. I’ll always be grateful for the good and better times. As for Eustace, fair play to him. He’s a hell of a lot better than the sack of **** Ismael we have to put up with. Quote

I honestly don't understand the logic that some fans deserve what has happened. What has any fan actually done which has caused the downfall of the club ? Quote

What I can say is that there is still a section of fans who actively support a regime that has caused nothing but misery. So called supporters that have physically threatened protestors and so called supporters that partake in pile ons on social media and on the LT comments to anyone anti Venkys. To me that is a validation of shit ownership despite all of the evidence smacking them between the eyes and, yes, through that validation they have the club they deserve and I make no apology for saying it. 3 Quote

It always ends up fan v fan. No doubt if Venkys left and the new owner took us out of existence, it would be blamed on those who boycotted. Obviously it wouldn't be their fault, but they'd be beaten with that stick. It's opinions on a computer screen and people have strong opinions, but they don't really affect what happens, not really.
