i need help

when i was in england last year i went and watched rovers beat fulham 4-0 (at loftus road) beat tottenham 4-0 (at whiteheart) and beat leads 3-2 (at elland road). not a bad record.

anyway, i want to know the words to one of the songs that was sung because i always hum the tune and it reminds me of good times.

i cant help you much except to say that everyone stood up with their hands wide apart and in the air ... the words that i remember were

"annnnd theres oneeeee rovers [clap clap clap]

.....

and we hate those burnley @#/?s"

but thats all i can tell you. so i hope one of you guys or gals will help this poor aussie out.

:withstupid:

Everytime i see Rovers play, i always find the following song really hard to sing along to due to my accent.

"Souness's Blue and White Army"

Being a Southerner, to me it sounds like:

"Souness's Blight Army"

and if i ever try to sing it, im saying Blue and White army, yet everyone else has already finished the song as they say it faster than me.

Saying it with an Aussie accent never helps either!   :D

There's a pub down in Burnley I use to frequent

I met Stanley Ternant, his money all spent

He asked me to play and I answered him ney

'Cos I hate Burnley @#/?s 'till my dying day

And it's Oh-Ney-never

Oh-Ney-Never no more

'Till we play the Burnley @#/?s

Ney-Never no more

Isnt it - he asked me to pay?

And its it "will we play"? "Till we play" doesnt make sense....

Has that ever bothered football chanters before.... see earlier in this thread..

"Kinky Knees Blue and White Army"

Isn't it "Kinky Knees balloon-weight army"!?
