  1. Steele has developed his passing a lot since he was here. His handling wasn't good either, I remember I used to call him Jason 'Hands of' Steele because he could never hold a ball. Better than the current ones though, although Pears has developed his top level somewhat, but not sure he has the personality needed to make for a great GK.
  2. Please no thumbs down, BUT: Would anyone take George Hirst back? I doubt Ipswich see him as PL quality and would probably be available on loan in the summer or later on in January. We're not exactly shopping from the top shelf at this point, so just a thought.
  3. Two big challenges for Eustace is managing to turn Ewood park back into Fort Ewood. Also to stop dropping points against the bottom teams, and while I don't have the stats infront of me, it feels as if that's been an issue for a few seasons as well.
  4. I think a lot of us expected more signings from the Scandinavian market that supposedly both JDT and GB should know well. But ultimately we could/can pay fees but can't compete with some of the contenters when it comes to wages. A decent goalkeeper shouldn't be too difficult to find, but Wahlstedt did come with a reasonable pedigree and was thrown into the thick of it sooner than anticipated as Pears got that unfortunate foot injury.
  5. Think he scored one. Can run around naked for all the other stupid things he did though.
  6. What if no one taught him how to press send?
  7. I think we offered daft wages compared to the offer Wahlstedt had from Aalborg, but can't remember where I read it. Either way he can't be on big wages, but definitely not easy to flog as he won't get a sideways move. It's too soon to write him off completely, and I wouldn't mind him as backup GK next season and Pears out.
  8. It was better when Glen Mullan played the role, we actually brought in a goalscorer then.
  9. Is your source by any chance Steve W. Aggott?
  10. The excuse used to be not enough time to replace before the deadline... wonder what they'll come up with next. We need to add to the squad, we're doomed if we don't.
  11. Main problem was he only had one gear and it was maximum intensity all the time. That's why he got his cartilage injury while he was still with us and several more serious injuries at Man United. I think had he learned how to compose himself, he would've been an England great, but he never had the time to learn as he was crocked at a young age. A big shame, but not our player and they tend to forget us as soon as they sign for one of the bigger clubs.
  12. Makes sense then. Rudy has been learning while they've kept GB on grass. Won't be an unpopular replacement as he's a fans favourite... cheap option too. They've been bringing back some legends lately as well to appease the fans. Waggott and Venky's out.
