I think this quote needs to be put in context - If someone walked up to Souey and said 'Matt's in a coma, he fell off a moped.' then Souey said it - then thats wrong. To be fair Lawro got stick against QPR for predicting a 1-1 draw, he's now getting stick for predicting we win. HOWEVER- it just shows how little research goes into his predictions - PLus i dont think we have that much width - pederson tucks in a lot plus emo is on the other side...

Dont think Toddy deservses the critisism on here - he's still been playing well this season and has been solid with Nelson, he's prob found it harder being in/out the side. Its lucky that we have 3 quality centre-backs which we can call on,

THe main positive from this game was that at least we don't have to watch Everton every week - they are absolute dross, which actually makes losing to them even worse. Even when rovers had 10 men they couldnt put a string of passes together. The one time they did and their fans were cheering each pass - until they passed it out of play! Whereas Rovers had been passing it about all game - admitedly without a cutting edge. I think that we missed Sav's energy in the middle - im not sure what Reid brings to the team - -I think Sav/Tugay would be a better balance or even TheAxe/Tugay. Also how many times did Halsey get in the way of Rovers?? dont think Ive seen a ref get in the way as many times.

Every time I think about Newcastle's shocking defence/midfield it makes it even worse that we lost 3-0 to them. Shows how much a world class player like Owen (and SHearer to a lesser extent) makes

I don't think that many on this board would ever say that rovers are a 'big' club - but we will prob be the only 'town' team to ever win the PL. And those that do still turn up are treated to a feast of good football - we have not been called 'the Chelsea of the North' for nothing.
