  1. Ya. I'm not sure about him. He has the look for sure, but I dont recall him having a good match, cody aside. I think I'm basing a lot on his match against Ellsworth a while back when he was the champion, my god he sold WAY to much for him. Ellsworth rolled him up at one stage from nowhere and it was actually a 3 count, but the ref said 2. I suppose that is being a good guy and worker, but it just looked pathetic When he is cutting promos I always think he sounds awkward and it's like hes thinking too hard. In fairness though the ad he did for the retro videogame on NWA was funny. It's the best thing I have seen him do. He has done very, very well to position himself where he is. He bet his own path fair play to him and is probably in the top 3 current wrestlers never to have been in WWE. Doesn't really do it for me though. Does he have a finisher apart from that clover leaf? It seems his matches have so many false finishes
  2. I turned it off about 2 min into Cutler and Havok. The commentary thing was so stupid and Nayla and Excaliburs interactions were awkward to say the least. Made no sense that she was on commentary. I liked Cutlers ring gear, but when I saw the dice on the titantron I was like "oh,that's fucking nerdy". Havok just does nothing for me. Ok,he looks grand with his mask and his theme music fits, but hes puny, so so puny.
  3. Yes, a great appointment to be fair, but I liked the nostalgia that came with Cornette
  4. Indeed. They clearly don't air the segments from last week because of the Cornette stuff. Not related, but what do you think of Aldis? Open question to all posters here

(Too early?) January transfer window 2020

I dont rate him. He looks no better than walton from what I have seen

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

To be fair he is only 20 and he is bigger and faster than Wharton, who is 22. Maybe I should have used athleticism instead of physicality He was up against Fletcher that day against Wednesday as well, he's a handful. A steep learning curve at this level.

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

Ya, well he has gotten a few chances and it seems he is one that the club are keen to bring through. If we bring him back only to play in cup games though, I'm not sure he would get more than 1 game.... If we are in and around the play-offs, it's too risky I feel. If we were stuck, I would prefer Magloire to be given the chance. I think he would manage better with the physicality

Have you seen him play in the last year? I'm all for giving him a chance, but not if it weakens the team. Not sure he does know best all the time to be fair

    Premier League Stuff

Writes itself really Ya, they will surely go down in a season or two without him. Just with the squad they have, they would be expected to do well at this level. Doesn't always work out like that though, so here's hoping!

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

I haven't seen him play much in League 2 no, you getting to many Northampton games yourself? Saying we do better without Williams and Bennett (who is actually still featuring in case you missed that), is one thing, saying that Wharton should be ahead of them is a very different thing. Whatever about Williams, he doesn't even play in the same position as Bennett. Sit this next one out man 😂

They obviously didn't rate him anyway. I bet he won't and I wont forget

Thanks. I didn't realise he was from Sheriff street. Rough, rough spot. Interesting line "I probably was an alcoholic," he admits. "I came in at the tail end of that era at Blackburn, that drinking culture. If you lost a game you had a drink to forget about it, if you won you had a drink to celebrate. I had a problem with it. I played while drunk, I played while hungover.

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

He made plenty of nan appearances the 2nd time around 😂 and shes 93. She could probably still move quicker though Ya, it shows how far we have fallen. Paul Gallgher, who is far better than Greer couldn't really even nail down a place first time around

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

I would put Ward and Greer in a category all by themselves

Ya, he had a decent career to be fair. I think he was pretty fond of the sauce though....

Ha. He's only 31 so hopefully he gets back at it To be honest I don't really remember him playing for anyone, but I see he has 6 Irish caps.

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

Why use him as an example? One of the worst centre halves we have had in memory and that's saying a lot when we had Greer as well.

    The Scott Wharton Conundrum

Hes not ahead of Williams at CB, nor should he be. Bennett covers right back, Wharton doesn't play there.

    Players out of position

Downing there all day over Bell. Maybe in some instances Williams might be ok there, depending on the opposition. Fair play to Downing for just slotting in there and getting on with it by the way

    Brexit

Until they drag us all into a conflict none of us want to be involved in.

It's a wonder that neither Birmingham or Bournemouth kept him so. He didn't even play a game for Bournemouth. So not sure where you are hearing these things I'm not Armstrongs biggest fan, but Mahony has done nothing to tell me he would be a better option. Allowing for the fact that I too would prefer a natural winger playing there. I bet Armstrong will get more goals and assists than him every season they are both fit.

Who would you have him in the squad ahead of so?
  24. I typed the words, but I don't really 100% believe it. More optimistic than confident!
