  1. We ll it worked last week so I'll try this weekalthough I can't see a victory. Realistic 2 v 0 Villa - Villa looking for first win and Baras looking to impress. Us not having the normal backline set up and probably no forward line, which even with Kuqi fit he doesn't look even like scoring when given the chance- also with the possibility of Tugay being left out and no likelihood of goals coming from midfield unless Pedersen conjures up something Optimistic 0 v 0 /1 v1- Tugay plays, we have a fairly decent record there, Savage has never lost when playing against them - but still can't see us scoring unless Jansen gets a chance.
  2. Don't know about anybody else but this reminds me of Drooper from the Banana Splits
  3. The draw is on Saturday according to Gaby Roslin. Champions League tomorrow For all our possesion on Saturday it was still a poor Fulham side that we made hard work of beating, and Spurs will be a totally different opposition. For all Kuqi's huffing and puffing on Saturday, he looked bereft of the requirements of a Striker for the Premiership but something endears me too him. Doubt he will score with just himself up front but I think he will complement a fit Bellamy very well. With Spurs yet to concede, and keeping a blank against a better forward line up of Boro compared to ours I would concede a defeat - however considering we are at home and on a bit of boost from a win, a draw looks the most likely outcome. 3 V 3 Shearer and Klinsmann hatricks
  4. Since when has she been our enemy?? And anyway when have you felt the air 'getting hot' on a Saturday night, other than with Rovers performance that day (or shouldn't I ask) PS - I bet you can do the dance as well
  5. That's the thing Den /Oz- there isn't only one Put up an argument for one side and something will happen that puts a question mark against it. However, all rolled together and the interest as we see happening now begins to wane.
  6. This is the be all and end all, which I have said before Rovers have managed to contribute to themselves. Add this to the sterilisation of the game , standard of refereeing, attitude of players, players salaries, agents, overkill of the game on TV, 'new breed of fan' and cheaper alternatives, social communities or lack of it, FA/UEFA and the structure of the game etc. etc etc etc Take your pick but all contribute in some way or other and snowballed into one are creating the problems/ dissatisfaction we are seeing now.
  7. Mmmm - know something we don't p32
  8. As per many others I am apprehensive but still looking forward to tomorrow. However, I still have niggling doubts of any chance of a win and honestly can't see much difference to last season without anything decent up front. I can see us scoring but also conceding. Optimistic - 2 v 1 Realistic - 1 v 2
  9. Nothing wrong with the old Tuborg Bobf but what's this 'Ace' lager - never heard/had of. To me Double Diamond has to have been one one of i f not the worst. Anyway back to the thread- good post Bobf and entirely true -but as I have said previously, there are many contributing factors which unfortunately to Rovers have all snowballed together. Surprisingly, I am also looking forward to tomorrow as well - why I have no idea after last week, but probably because it has something to do with being our first home game - no doubt my attitude will change after the game and I can see a sub 16k crowd - in fact the worst in the Premier this season.
  10. Good Link Scotty Something I touched upon in the FA Cup semi final thread, with maybe Rovers fans leading the way and ahead of the game by not tolerating it and not being as naive as alot of fans - especially the Geordies.
  11. Living in Wigan I can vouch for this but there are also MU and Liverpool as well Maybe its not just us, but watched the match in a pub on Sunday in Wigan and there where actually so called Wigan fans in there watching the game - my response was why they hadn't gone to the game - answer - we can't afford -surprising they go out the night before and then the pub to watch the game - fans eh?? In addition, found it amusing to hear the MU fans slating Ch£l$ki for their last minute goal and their responses especially when I mentioned that it reminded me of a certain other team not far away.
  12. Something we constantly do which never works!! DanLad - Think the question you should be asking 'is what the hell is he doing in our side never mind on the pitch?
  13. Close Season What about since he has been here - take it you don't read what alot of us have been saying since he started here - theguy is plain and simply crap - which is not saying much considering the way the rest of the team played. Puts it all into context when the hammers sneak into the Premier and demolish us, yet Charlton so easily disposed of the Champions of the Championship Wake up and smell the coffe folks - no creativity no way forward.
  14. Aye Ozzie but you have to use last seasons wallet cover
  15. Now turned up - time to relax a little
  16. Same here re the Cup Ticket one as well Jordan. As mentioned, some people will be on holiday -they time it so they don't miss games - so how long do you wait. Still not got mine either and renewed at beginning of June
  17. Unfortunately though , as per usual with Rovers Marketing it has not worked very well
  18. Not moaning CN174 - just highlighting Wouldn't know about any other clubs S/T renewal extra's as I don't support anbody else - but forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't this thread about enticing fans back? Doesn't exactly set the feeling in my book for people to throw their coffers at the club - :just in the renewal packs it reads as something of great importance and not cheap gimmicks
  19. So that's the exciting '+ more' incentive that was emblazoned on the renewals
  20. I'm in - KAYOS KIDS Will probably end up changing it around though
  21. Seem to remember him saying the same about Duff - anyway I think its more about that he knows Aresnal and Chelsea for that matter can afford to get him but he wants to keep him. One things for certain, if I was in Wenger's boots I would have injury prone Campbell on his way already as part of the deal that has been banded about with a suitcase of Newcy's to please them all the more
  22. And like all good build ups will probably end up in a damp squib 0v0
  23. But was not playing as an out and out striker and was innjured - not a bad average really considering Dickov only averaged the same with penalties. Agree with us needing another striker dependent upon what Hughes has up his sleeve re formations, but I expect to see Bellamy more in his accustomed role up front rather than out right, which I fully believe would have been part of Hughesys guarantee when he was trying to sign him
  24. OH DEAR - WHAT FORMATION WILL HE COME UP WITH NOW?? What dya reckon - a bid for Amoruso?
