Fergie would have walked the moment Greg Broughton said "here's your number 9, George Hirst." There's a handful of players that are good enough, a few that are decent and the rest shouldn't be playing in this league, or be bench warmers at best. -

I blame Morton over Kaminski. That shot should have never happened. It sums our players up. He does good work for our goal but then switches off at a crucial moment. -

You're right. Going off goals in all competitions, they actually do it better. -

That's not true for this season. He's on equal goals with Dolan, Szmodics and after today's goal, Dack. I fully expect Dack to score more goals than him this season if he can stay fit. -

Blimey Gav, a managers dream? Great player? I don't know how you can be so vehement about Venkys then set your sights so low. He's not good enough. Gallagher has scored 3 league goals this season by the way. Travis is one goal away from equalling him. If you compare it to other teams around us the difference is an extra goal from all the other contributing players, and their second top scorer having twice as many goals as Gallagher, or having almost as many as their top scorer, or joint top goalscorer. Sheffield United are massively ahead but Burnley have three players banging them in regularly and three players chipping in with 14 goals between them. It's easy to see why they are the best team. Goals win games. So I'd say Gallagher is a massive problem. Big wages for little return. Swap Gallagher for a good goalscorer and the future may look rosier. On a positive note, Dack all things considered, is doing really well. -

He’s been here since 2019 and in most of the games I’ve watched, he’s offered little, and at worst been a total bystander. This year he’s contributed more defensively but he’s still an awful player. He deserved to be dropped after Rotherham. He won’t score more goals. He doesn’t offer more than Brereton. He’s never had a defence on the back foot, he’s never troubled a CB with his ability. No one is saying he’s the main problem with the team, but if he’s our best option for goals, then that’s a massive problem in a game that’s about scoring goals. -
Injured.

A third of their first team are loanees I think. They’ve done well to keep Tella from going back to Southampton.

Oh how I’d love to go back to those days when we had a pragmatic club and Burnley couldn’t even be bothered to try. What a bizarre appointment that was. Since then, Howe aside, you’ve had some luck. Dyche - Mr nobody wanted by nobody, sacked by Watford. Could have gone either way for Burnley but manages to be your best manager of modern times. Kompany - doesn’t do an amazing job at Anderlecht, could get worse for Burnley, but given a decent kitty and manages to crack the second tier.

It makes me laugh how players become superstars when we can’t select them. Butterworth, Vale and Gallagher are all bad players. It reminds me of when we had the choice between Ward or Blake 😩 -
I doubt Pace knew who Kompany was. Someone at your club can pick managers. I think after Brian Laws someone must have decided never again. At the time Pace needed some good PR so he couldn’t get it wrong. I think that shows with the amount of time it took to bring a new manager in. Like I said previously he did well to keep the club intact rather than changing everything. I think that was originally done for financial reasons than a considered decision. It’ll be interesting to see if he wants Burnley to stay up, or do it on the cheap for the yo-yo money.

Mercer, it’s good to have hope but another manager wouldn’t do shit with these players. We’re left with barely any forward options, Brereton has done his half season, our midfield is weak and our (fit) first choice fullbacks would struggle to win a snail race. I can’t pick a full eleven players covering each area, that I’d keep. Thank goodness for Bradley Dack. -
I should have said Alan Pace’s good fortune. He was one bad appointment away from a catastrophe. Objectively, he’s bought the club with their own money, overseen the sacking of your best manager and a relegation, and then bankrolled promotion from the championship all without putting his hand in his own pocket. What happens when the bank of Dyche runs out?

Dack can’t play upfront. We’ve seen this many times over the years. In the home game against Bristol Tomasson tried it. Gallagher played against Rotherham, as did Vale and Gallagher was worse. But the point is that our striker options are shit, shitter or untried. Can’t blame JDT for that. I’m not sure why you suggested Markanday anyway as he wasn’t selectable. Today who does he pick out of Vale, poor again at Rotherham, and Gallagher, poorer against Rotherham? Whoever he picks, it won’t matter much. Dolan? Depends which one turns up. They are a sorry bunch. -

I'll change my question, who else that's not shit at scoring goals does he play instead of Vale? Markanday's a winger. -
I wasn't impressed today. Adebayo at Luton is ten times the player.

He wasn't doing anything for the team. Like I said earlier, when Ayala was sent off Carter came on in his place and Vale went off. Nothing changed. -

Who else is he supposed to play upfront? -
It's must be very hazy as that's a massive simplification. Whilst it would have been nice to have brought in a better manager, most fans would have been happy to keep SA there for the foreseeable. He even said himself he wanted to leave at some point, so it would have been intelligent to keep him here for stability, whilst conducting a manager search. Unfortunately, "intelligent" to Venkys is to give an agent full control of the football club they've just purchased and agree with everything he suggests, even when people who have been at the club for 20 years are telling them it's all going tits up.
-
I don't know, their current good fortune on the pitch still masks issues underneath.
-
Burnley wanted him and got rejected so that's unlikely. We should have signed Gyokeres last season, or Adebayo.
-
The potential bandwidth spike from a popular video isn't worth it. It eats data.
-
I was hoping we'd finally be looking to sign a striker permanantly but we don't seem to do that any more. The curse of Sam Gallagher.
