Gallagher's missed about four decent chances recently. -

And Burnley are crying over losing Harwood Bellis. Already a thin squad and now without four players and an empty loanee place. I fully expect one of the starters to go off injured as we average one a week. I can't remember Sky or national press mentioning our injury problems but plenty of shock horror headlines about Harwood Bellis and Burnley's injury crisis. -

Another game struggling for goals, a problem still not addressed since the beginning of the 2021/22 season. Prove me wrong Rovers. -
23 appearances, Bournemouth youth who never really broke into the team. 3 appearances in a poor Stoke side. That's our man!

I can only hope it brings you the same amount of joy as our injuries have this season 😉

It'll be hilarious if he's as bad for united as he was for you. Sadly there's no way he can contribute to a teams relegation this time.

I wouldn't upload a video file anyway. Upload it to YouTube then embed it here then you aren't killing the sites bandwidth and storage space 👍

In my lifetime Rovers fans have never had it as bad as Burnley fans. 1994/1995 was a hell of a season for us and just pure hell for them. I can't imagine. Any of their fans that stuck around must be hardcore. We were watching our players holding the Premier League trophy aloft to a packed Ewood, and plaudits around the country as they were being relegated to Div3. I remember a piece in the Telegraph about David Eyres being their top scorer. He scored less than 10. Above it was another piece with a large picture of England's number 9 Alan Shearer winning the golden boot. I don't know about Burnley fans but Rovers fans could be reminded of this from time to time. I don't think a local rival has been burned quite as badly as that in world football.

We've been in the doldrums for over a decade. Every team has been lucky to play us during this period, especially our six fingered neighbours and the ever obsessed nobenders. I've watched Burnley more than a few times, expecting this mythical super team but they've often looked ordinary, but they've been playing teams in the doldrums and ended up snatching a goal. It's what top teams do, make their own luck. I watched them against Stoke and you would never have believed they were top of the league. Strolling about, misplacing passes, keeper having a mare, and suicidally passing it about at the back - but getting away with it because Stoke didn't make the most out of their chances. Burnley nicked a lucky goal, Stoke were robbed of a point, Burnley took all three and forgot all about it. In the next match a hard working Swansea team were unlucky not to get a point, 2-1. JDT's biggest mistake was to play an experimental team against Burnley. Complete suicide. But then several times this season I've seen JDT set up the team to attack a team, get a goal, then hang on for an entire match. Something I don't remember seeing under Mowbray. There are many positives about JDT and some worries but I find him difficult to make an overall judgement with the short time he's been here, and with the squad as he found it. -
He'd score a lot more than Gallagher though. Going into the second half of the season with Gallagher, Vale and Hirst (who is maybe gone) would be disappointing. We've got BBD and Dack too but BBD plays wide and Dack plays deeper. I expect Dack to chip in with a few goals and BBD to notch more but as we learned last year we shouldn't rely on BBD for goals. It'd be amazing if we could find a prolific centre forward and an experienced midfielder who could dictate the pace of a game.
-
We need both but I disagree the strikers are feeding off scraps. A better goalscorer than Gallagher would have scored at least a couple between the Boro and Cardiff games.
-
Dembele is a winger, looking at his stats he does score goals but either as many or less than Gallagher. He also plays in BBDs position but also can be more central. Ideally we need a midfielder and a striker. Dembele would be a luxury I think, I can see why TM wanted him.
-
Madness if anyone doesn’t think we need a striker. Look at the xG, look at the goal difference. We aren’t scoring enough goals. It’s a big reason we can’t come back from behind and aren’t nicking any points from losing positions.
-
On top of that they spent a large chunk of money buying their own club.
-
It should have been outlawed by the FA. I don’t think Venkys sued them, if I recall there were no recriminations.
-
The monies given out to agents and crap managers negated that.
-
I’d be surprised if Tomasson didn’t get Berget if he’s free.
-
Doesn't he play on the left?
-
Decent player but I'd hope we sign someone a bit more prolific.
-
I don’t think anyone from TM’s staff has told JDT anything and he’s had to work it out for himself. It would seem so from possession football with players that struggle to pass to playing Dack upfront.
-
Some do want it to happen sadly. I’ll never understand why anyone would want to have a complete reset to get rid of venkys. For much of the last decade history is all we’ve had to cling onto.
-
Poor example as it's the same club, unlike AFC Wimbledon, FC Halifax, Macclesfield, Darwen and all the others. AFC Rovers. What a tribute to all those who have made and supported the club.

Next three league games. Rotherham Bristol Blackpool An excellent opportunity to cement themselves in the play off spots. Will they take it? -

Bit harsh to say woeful. Gallagher scores and it's a comfortable win. Same against Boro. As it is, it was an uncomfortable 3 points. Cardiff were awful but in their last 4 games ground out draws and didn't today. The big problem with Rovers is lack of a goalscorer and having to play Gallagher. And without Gallagher we're worse. Look at the xG, we're near bottom of the league. We could also do with a decent midfielder and the pitch didn't help. -

For the referee wasn’t it? A frustrating half against a poor team but I’ve seen a lot worse. Gallagher continues to disappoint and that Cardiff player should be done for assault, sending off too lenient. Desperately need a goal scorer. Looks like the first draw of the season.
