  1. Decent player but I'd hope we sign someone a bit more prolific.
  2. I don’t think anyone from TM’s staff has told JDT anything and he’s had to work it out for himself. It would seem so from possession football with players that struggle to pass to playing Dack upfront.
  3. Some do want it to happen sadly. I’ll never understand why anyone would want to have a complete reset to get rid of venkys. For much of the last decade history is all we’ve had to cling onto.
  4. Poor example as it's the same club, unlike AFC Wimbledon, FC Halifax, Macclesfield, Darwen and all the others. AFC Rovers. What a tribute to all those who have made and supported the club.
  5. Next three league games. Rotherham Bristol Blackpool An excellent opportunity to cement themselves in the play off spots. Will they take it?
  6. Bit harsh to say woeful. Gallagher scores and it's a comfortable win. Same against Boro. As it is, it was an uncomfortable 3 points. Cardiff were awful but in their last 4 games ground out draws and didn't today. The big problem with Rovers is lack of a goalscorer and having to play Gallagher. And without Gallagher we're worse. Look at the xG, we're near bottom of the league. We could also do with a decent midfielder and the pitch didn't help.
  7. For the referee wasn’t it? A frustrating half against a poor team but I’ve seen a lot worse. Gallagher continues to disappoint and that Cardiff player should be done for assault, sending off too lenient. Desperately need a goal scorer. Looks like the first draw of the season.
  8. Yes I did, and I thought I explained why in the post. We're playing an out of form Cardiff, the current run is becoming close to a TM spiral and if you look at the table there's not many points between us and 15th place.
  9. Morton should be dropped.
  10. I watched the second half of your game. The positive that you should take from it is that your players were strolling around and still won. I saw a bit of the Swansea game and they looked very good.
  11. This? https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/december/19/the-team-behind-the-team-/ Whatever happened to the managers that could spot a player?
  12. 12th. I think we'll have a very up and down season and I've no faith that the club will strengthen much in January. We've enough quality to finish mid table and perhaps more importantly, the quality of other teams this season isn't great. Watford and Norwich tonight for example.
  13. The left side is a target for every oppo manager. He's nowhere near good enough for a promotion chasing team. If we want another mid table finish then he's fine. Gallagher has always been awful but usually this season he's been better than nothing, and in a handful of games he's looked decent. Last night we were playing with 10 before we were playing with 10.
  14. If we had more depth Pickering and Gallagher would be nowhere near the first team after that last game.
  15. A must win for me considering the opposition. We don't win this and Tomasson will be on thin ice. Some of the players need to bear some of the blame too. They play better and we win easily against Boro. Simple as that. I've had enough of the likes of Pickering, Morton and Gallagher. And I hope Buckley received an appropriate bollocking.
  16. I think you are missing his biggest error. Not signing a good striker permanently. Could be the difference between play offs and mid table. I know last season was ultimately forgettable but haven’t we learned our lesson?
  17. “We need a centre forward our decent options are currently close to nil.” “Meet George Hirst, so good we’ve been chasing him all Summer.” What a way to announce your arrival as DoF.
  18. The simple thing would be to bring in a midfielder, a striker and a left back. Club takes a hit on spending due to the league position and having a paper thin squad. If possible offload a couple of players and get rid of the useless loanees to offset the cost.
  19. I remember that we've needed a decent striker since Summer 2021. As well as replacing the outgoing defenders that should have been the priority. Edit: Also I'll be completely honest, my reply was for someone else not your post.
  20. It could have been addressed in Summer, but we'll see what happens in January. If GB sticks to his belief that we're pretty much good with transfers for this season I'll be bitterly disappointed whether promotion is the aim or not.
  21. He checked with the fourth official who must have said it was a sending off offence.
  22. Too many passengers in the squad, not enough goals, midfield is paper thin. Many of us knew this last year, why the club doesn't know is beyond me.
  23. He's had a decent couple of games but importantly he's not a fullback. We know this because as you mention he's not our first choice? I've certainly been to enough games to know that JRC cannot play consistently well over a number of matches. I've seen Pickering have a couple of good games but I'd replace him in a heartbeat. Also steady on, I had to endure JRC's terribly sedate performances earlier on the season. Then again I have a memory that stretches back further than two or three matches. Better to also take into context the discussion was about over the matches played so far, not just the last three.
