  1. I imagine he'll make an appearance in the next 10 mins.
  2. I thought going forward was his USP as he can't defend.
  3. A bit more fight in the team, hopefully they can keep it up. That Anel bloke should be off.
  4. This is still very much Mowbrays team and Mowbrays mess that JDT has inherited. Minus the players who abandoned ship/went back to their parent clubs. The only issue I have with JDT is that I'd have hoped he'd have seen the weaknesses and set them up appropriately till he can implement his own ideas. Though we are missing Wharton.
  5. A 17 year old and Pickering in defence. What could go wrong? I find myself unable to blame JDT as in his press conferences he keeps saying we have a small squad and need players.
  6. Too early to say about Szmodics but Gally and Pickering need replacing. Gallagher is okay on the bench to put on in the last 10-15. Pickering should go elsewhere, oppo teams know he's the weakest link. Disappointed in Buckley, standing around like he's somewhere else to be.
  7. Looks like they have a total lack of winning mentality. Sheffield United pundits said it right, they look like a team just trying to hang on for a point, slacking off.
  8. The body language of some of the players is shocking. They look like they can't be assed.
  9. Ayala just got the ball and there wasn't one player moving for him. Everyone stood still. Fucking pathetic.
  10. Part of the problem is that there's no competition for places. They know they've got a place in the team every week.
  11. Trying to pass our way out of trouble at the back again, then it just goes to the opposition. What's the point?
  12. We're badly missing Wharton too. But it looks the same as Reading. When they eventually get the ball they try to pass it like it's a hot potato, and end up kicking it to the opposition.
  13. Not sure about that, though the passing it out from the back is something new and I wish he'd stop with these players. Edun, Gallagher, Pickering... They aren't players you can rely on. If money is an issue get Brereton sold and get some decent players in.
  14. I picked the wrong time to tune in.
  15. Oh dear. We need players. Any team with the likes of Pickering and Gallagher in the team week in/week out will struggle. Too many passengers and zero depth so no choice but to use them.
  16. I've missed the first 25 minutes, how is it going?
  17. Exactly, it's not just a case of being tired. High tempo in that heat can't have been healthy for the brain. They looked slow to react whenever a ball was kicked. That WBA game had to have a short term effect and I wouldn't be surprised if that's why JDT changed things a bit.
  18. Did you go to the game against WBA?
  19. There's a good chance that the players burned themselves out against WBA in that freak heat. Perhaps that's why Dolan and Vale started. It was a very off colour performance by anyone's standards, the players just seemed to react to everything in slow motion. Fingers crossed it was a blip rather than a glimpse of things to come.
  20. Who rated him? Only asking as maybe we can help them to find appropriate psychiatric care.
  21. I'll be surprised if Vale starts again this season.
  22. I thought this match would be the first defeat, sadly now I think it'll be the second defeat. But we'll come back with a win against Bradford in the cup then there's two home games. It'll be a well fought draw against Stoke then narrowly beat Blackpool. 3 or 4 signings will happen between now and then which will define the season.
  23. It's the match thread for this game and saying we were diabolical last night isn't OTT.
  24. Some unfair comments on here, "we've been poor all season". They ran their asses off in freakishly hot weather on Sunday to beat a decent team. It was bound to take its toll on the players tonight.
  25. At least there's one thing we don't need to worry about, they won't be knackered at the weekend. Everyone had their feet up tonight.
