  1. What if it's the best they can do in any system? Replace JDT with Allardyce and who steps up in that defence? Who do we clog it to upfront? Who scores the goals? Who saves the inevitable onslaught of shots in the last ten when we've given everything? Who on the pitch lifts the spirits of this embryonic team when we go a goal down? Travis? Szmodics? Or the softly spoken Hyam?
  2. Pickering and Brittain have never been decent full backs. Carter is overrated. Wharton is being asked to do the job of a man in midfield and he's still very much a kid. A reasonable squad except striker and GK. Pretty important parts of the squad those. We wouldn't have gone 1-0 down only for the keeper. If anyone thinks this is an acceptable professional football club squad then you've forgotten what acceptable is.
  3. A relegation battle is just what Waggott was anticipating, but at no point planned for.
  4. Yep, but I'm not sticking my head in the sand believing otherwise. It's disappointing enough.
  5. He didn't source those strikers or that experienced defender he asked for last January or this Summer.
  6. What if that is their best at this stage of the season? (I believe it is without a decent break) Between the lot of them, not one of our available strikers has scored 5 goals in the Championship. They haven't scored 5 between them.
  7. You can die on that hill but it's an unfair statement. Kean and Coyle had relative freedom to do whatever they pleased. I'm yet to see the guy able to manage without incompetence and interference on and off the pitch. Some of his decision making frustrates me but I'm not just going to use him as a scapegoat when it's no secret that transfers are being blocked or bungled and the owners have imposed a ludicrous transfer strategy. Nothing will change till they do, no matter who is in the dugout.
  8. I can't. All I could see was a shell of a team created by one set of lying bastards overseas.
  9. It's not entirely true though, they are imposing rules on the transfer policy. If they didn't give any fucks and let people get on with it, it would actually be better. They are the worst type of owners. Not putting anything in, interfering, and expecting to get something back even if it's buttons.
  10. In the last minute of the game not one player was willing to put a cross in, in an advanced wide position. And that included the captain.
  11. Powered by stupid stubborn owners.
  12. I don't think you can change the style to suit this group of players. It's the culmination of years of underinvestment in the team, especially the full back positions and strikers and over reliance on youth and a lack of experience. He's certainly the wrong man for the job but to be fair the pitch from the top was that we were going to build up the team over the seasons he was with us and aim for promotion, not have a fire sale and bring in kids and freebies and try to cling onto our league status.
  13. One of the worst displays I've seen from a Rovers team. I'd say a new low, but I've seen a lot worse under Venkys.
  14. Don't be daft. Sacking someone would mean money and work.
  15. "We're the famous Blackburn Rovers and we play without strikers..."
  16. Because some looked at the team above, and thought we had a chance. I looked at that team, then the bench, and thought for fucks sake it's going to end up 4-0. A lot are still in denial about players like Brittain, Carter, Moran, Sigurdsson and Ennis. I almost added Wahlstedt but I think it's universally accepted that we've monumentally cocked up with that one.
  17. So Hill on the pitch instead of Travis then.
  18. Bringing on the likes of Telalovic and Markanday to try and give you a lift. Ffs.
  19. Don't be fair to her, she's a complete and utter bell end. When she said we could rely on loans this is exactly what she meant. There was a similar comment about the academy. This was the plan all along. Relying on kids and loans and running a football club on the cheap as was pitched by that awful scumbag parasite agent whose name I won't mention.
  20. Interested to know which changes you would have made.
  21. From the very beginning one of the major problems is that no one really cares enough to do anything about it.
  22. Sorba Thomas has done more in an hour for them than he did in his entire time here. Thanks mate 👍
  23. Probably why he's always injured.
  24. "We won't need to buy expensive players, we can always lease them." - Anuradha Desai, October 2010
  25. For however crap we've been, it'd still be 0-0 only for a goalkeeping blunder. Which is why it was a stupid idea to spend our only money and bring in a 24 year old from a foreign league.
