It seems Seniors now have three restaurants. The first was at Normoss and the second at Thornton.

Tickets got! Looking forward to this one. It sold out in a couple of hours. But really annoyed that I had to pay Ticketmaster nearly £6 per ticket "service charge". Legalised touts!

Went to The Ribchester Arms a couple of nights ago. Very good indeed. The ale was nice too!

The best Fish and Chips I have had in Blackpool is at Seniors. Fantastic!

For Fish and Chips in Preston this is as good as any.

BIG event on Friday. Tickets go on sale for Pearl Jam at the MEN Arena in August. THE best band in the world!

Went a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. Very plush. Highly recommended. We were trying to remember what the building was before Piccolino's opened. Was it a pub?

Just read Exit Music by Ian Rankin. Excellent read by an author who always reaches high standards. Recommended.

Average. As you say, strange to have two Italian restaurants next to each other. Sorrentos have there work cut out. The Villa was very, very good. No sign of the credit crunch on Friday, the place was packed. Very plush, welcoming staff and good food. Plan to visit again soon!

I went there a while ago. Place has had a refurb since and is now called Sorrentos. Seemed very quiet on Friday compared to The Villa which was doing a much deserved roaring trade.

Went out last night and had a wonderful meal at The Villa in Clitheroe. Highly recommended.

Eaten out a couple of times in the last week. The Clog and Billycock. I maybe folowing universal opinion, but it was outstanding. Also had a meal at Papa Luigis in Blackburn town centre. Now I know this place had a bad rep, but it is now under new management and was excellent. Friendly staff and good food. Reasonably priced as well. Worth a try.

I have spent many hours wandering around Ambleside. Spoilt for choice when it comes to food. I loved Dodds and The Priest Hole. Everyone seemed to be heading for Lucy's on a plate. Did not go myself. Seemed very expensive.

Spending quite a bit of money on it as well. Place looks huge. Which reminds me. Nigel Howarth is expanding his empire. He has bought the Clog and Billycock at Pleasington. Spent about £1 million on it. Due to open in a few weeks.

Normally Matt I would agree with that. But I never, never thought I would say this. But I would prefer United to win the league. Not because I have any affection for them, but because my hatred and contempt for Chelsea is even greater.

I have just read Fergusons comments on the eve of the game against Chelsea at Old Trafford. He is asking for referee Howard Webb to be strong and not give in to intimidation. Talking about the game at White Hart Lane recently betwwen Spurs and Chelsea, Fergie said "We do not want to see players crowding around referees,we have to give them a chance." You couldn't make it up!
