  1. Bit of a daft question, Rigger. England v Netherlands was lovely flowing football. York v Wigan was a very scrappy game not enjoyable to watch.
  2. England women are a joy to watch. Nederland played equally well. Spain are the best. I watched England on ITV4 and switched once or twice to BBC 2 for York v Wigan. Chalk and Cheese! Lionesses far better. I love 'em.
  3. My point was that we needed fresh legs and those two are no longer in nappies (duypers for Waco Rover and others).
  4. I've already mentioned that Garrett and Markanday could have been used but weren't. Calpol no longer used by those two.
  5. I listened on Radio Lancs. They mentioned after about 35 minutes that Brittain and Moran should swap wings. Also, late in the 2nd half they said Moran and Szmodics were "out on their feet". Why were Garrett and Markanday not used as subs? They are first team squaddies. I think some blame could be laid at the feet of JDT and his assistant. We have an extremely thin squad right now and we need to use all the subs we are able to. It's not the first time this has happened either.
  6. Whenever we have called the bench horrendous in the past and have had no hope, we seem to have done really well. Let's hope that continues today. Who is Montgomery? Can he lead us into D Day?
  7. Dads Army is one of my favourites. My wife cannot stand it and cannot see any humour.
  8. It's called total football as in J Cruyff and his mates style.
  9. So you think it's my Safari causing the problem. Maybe. Thanks for that I'll look into it.
  10. I managed to watch the second half on Rovers TV. What a horrible web site is the Rovers; not easy. Still couldn't watch it on full screen. Anyway, we played some brilliant football but after the third goal we should have changed the game by making it scrappy. Plenty of throw-ins to them in their own half. Nothing better than a stop-start game for preventing the opposition from getting going. But our youngsters haven't got that nous yet. Leonard is improving every game. I'm feeling satisfied.
  11. Heard that if you can't make it to Ewood you can buy a £10 ticket to watch on Rovers TV. Ive tried and all I get is buy a half season ticket. Any help?
  12. We are all revelling in watching Burnley struggle again in the Prem. But what would we prefer? To tread water as a mid table championship side season after season or to be a yo-yo team where every other season we are brilliant and every other(other) season we get thrashed every week. Serious question. I know which I'd choose.
  13. In the original song the blues referred to heartbreak. But to Rovers' fans "blues" meant the team (even though our shirts are half white).
  14. Hmmm. Sammie Szmodics Downes. Sounds like chalk hills in Sussex. Not as bad as Dewsbury Hall though. That sounds like a western region railway engine. I think we'll stick with SS
  15. Yeah. I wonder what Sammie's mum's maiden name is. Can we give him a two named surname?
  16. If you ring the club you won't get to talk to a human being. Instead you'll be speaking to Artificial Dunces.
  17. Thanks for that. Don't know why it wasn't available on Rovers site for me before.
  18. I've re-registered and can get in but I still can't find Rovers v PNE full game to watch. I've been trying for 2 weeks. Do they take games off after a while? I'm getting seriously pi**ed off with Rovers.
  19. Chuck Connors was Rifleman. I used to watch "Riverboat" with Darren McGavin but only for the theme tune which I thought was brilliant.
