  1. Likewise, Was going to get mine at end of the month and bring 2 of my kids too, However the increase has just done the unthinkable for me. I won't be renewing this season.
  2. We agreed to pay it, then appealed to the courts to retract such agreement. Its as embarrassing today as it was back then, as following this we then went through a further tribunal with Shaw (i actually attended this one) we ended up settling out of court. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/blackburn-ordered-to-pay-henning-berg-after-case-is-thrown-out-of-the-high-court-8594720.html https://employmentcasesupdate.co.uk/content/berg-v-blackburn-rovers-football-club-athletic-plc-2013-ewhc-1070-ch.fffeef86f1274dfc98e3398b29367772.htm
  3. We chose to to take it to court when told we had to pay up. Have the full transcript/decision somewhere including full internal email trail
  4. We took a law suit out over Berg, spent a fortune and lost. We then subsequently ended up in the Employement tribunal courts with Shaw, and ended up paying him out a kings Ransom as we lost again. Rovers under Venkys have spent more on Lawyers and pay offs that we afford ourselves in transfer windows. Our success rate of winning 1 ???? None, lost everyone including when Action group took club to county court too. Its remarkable how people still getting sucked in, GB has admitted in his own words we got it wrong internally.
  5. IPS we used on Berg, Shaw case, Farnell roots go back to SEM days To be clear this is who they'd likely use against EFL and im not linking them to the deals on the day, as I don't know who they used to draw up the contracts.
  6. They will be using either IPS Law, Brabners or Forbes. I'd wager its likely the first one (Chris Farnell) a particular individual whose name will send some shivers of concern through some on here. (Just when you think they aint about on transfers they re-appear)
  7. Lets hope they are better than the legals who tried to take the Action Group to court for releasing club documents with Caroline Mcateer (Beckhams PR) We was given a number of documents by Rovers solicitors with the strict instruction that we were to publically release and put on our website. We was then contacted by another solicitor also acting for Rovers who said unless we took them down they would sue Then Mcateer contacted us, explaining how famous and influential she was, and what she could do to me personally if I dont play ball. Needless to say, she was soon out of a job, the solicitor who tried to threaten me went away with their tail between their legs and the information remained on the website and the club ended up paying out the best part of 3.5 million in compensation to Berg, Shaw and one or two more.
  8. My bad, forgot the early 70s, in my life time though is 3,
  9. We don't have to accept. Lets put this differently. Rovers have made a number of people redundant over the last 8 months to help pay for Broughton. Loyal employees in some cases who were here long before Venkys. Over the Venkys reign loads have been made redundant to cover the ever increasing cost cutting exercise. People losing their jobs are the "doers" not the ones wheeled out in front of the press or holding the office in the boardroom. Rovers are in a promotion race, (how is another story) however the facts are the table does not lie. We are there and there on merit. The Raos signed off the spend, sanctioned the wages, sanctioned the compulsory purchase as our BOARD and MANAGER strongly believe we can go up this season. It doesn't matter if you or I think they can or cant, that was the business case apportioned to these signings. The Raos could claw back every penny they've spent on a £250 to £300 million promotion jackpot. Our players if we went up, rise significantly in transfer value. These signings as part of the business case have a forecasted potential sell on value. Our season ticket/match tickets take up increases by promotion. Our sponsorship, retail and marketing opportunities increase. Now lets look at the other side of the coin. None promotion, with our star assets for the second season running walking away for free means we wont have a transfer budget in the summer. We have no income to reinvest, and no strikers. More innocent lower level employees will lose their jobs. Seasin ticket and match tickets will rise, but the uptake will likely decrease. The manager unless we sack him ( unlikely to pay a manager £2 million to sack him anyway as we've no money) may walk with the knowledge not only does he have no money to spend, but will also have to sell three or four players to balance the book. Economy wise in football, wages and transfer values will continue to increase, so where rovers are currently shopping at a jumble sale, next season the one after etc, we will be at shopping at the football version of food banks. Level of players we attract becomes worse than what we have, and we become closer to being in the 3rd tier of football for only the 4th time in our history. This almighty cock up on Tuesday is not isolated to having 2 less players. The knock on affect could be terminal Why should Mrs Jones who runs the safeguarding get sacked because GB the guy who was brought in to look after transfers has royally fucked up? Why should the fans pay an extra £50 a season ticket next season to pay for this incompetence and contribute towards his £160k base salary, plus his £120k benefit package? The reality is what you see as a setback, is far more to the wider picture when those not involved feel it in the pocket. They all need to be removed, this aint championship manager, this is real life Had I cocked up a potential £250 million frame work in my own job, that would probably see 600 plus redundancies and me heading of to the job centre. 2 days a year, yes just two days, we have to be slick, punctual and get it right. On all counts we have not, time for them to go.
  10. He was filling the paperwork in , so still in the tribunal
  11. Question - is it a fact GB was at the match? I ask this as i read it on here from numerous posters. I also ask as his claims of being at the medical, was this a.m or p.m? If its a.m he has done a great job of making people think pm. If it was pm, he cant possibly have been at the match
  12. He walks into the ground unchallenged every match day, strolls through the blackburn end car park into the ground at 12pm and not once has anybody challenged this fraud. He wont even meet with supoorters. He needs to start feeling uncomfortable as his uncomfortableness will bring the pack of cards of the board crumbling down. Right now by their own admission he is their safety blanket. Finally he was part if the SEM takeover discussions, and along witylh tweetie pies mate, remains a constant in this whole charade
  13. Leak partial truths, whilst burying the whole truth, rovers PR machine at its best i suspect. No way is this the only reason, it may be one of 20 reasons, but very manipulative
  14. Smells of strategically trying to influence a change of opinion within the supporter base. They know his article will come on here. They also know many of us use twitter and will tweet this out to followers, which will get retweeted, then suddenly its the EFL's pettyness at fault. Fair play, with the video today and these leaks, its certainly having an affect. However i aint buying it, and maintain we need to remove all responsible including broughton. At £160k a year, an important window, a circa 200 million jackpot if we go up. He should of personally overseen the operation. Its 2 days a year he needs to be there ensuring its slick. No he was at the match, leaving others to do it. His statement of "i was there at the medical, is devious, to plant a seed he was in the thick of it. Truth is he may have been at the medical but chose to go and watch the match.
  15. It wouldn't surprise me if press warned not to cover window due to appeal (bollocks reason) and told not to ask those questions. Its very common at rovers to do this
  16. Not at all, my stance aint changed, but good leaders take responsibility and he has done that. Does that mean sackings shouldn't occur? Of course not, someone needs potting
  17. I thought his email had a 2 on the end, certainly the one ive seen/used?
  18. I do think its what the Raos do next which will determine a lot of peoples thought process. If they act as a business should and hold those accountable for this mess, and actually sack them. Then their stock will rise, as they've acted in the best interest of the club, and are showing a shoot of lessons learnt
  19. He said on season tickets, he sets a financial income target to those in commercial tasked with the pricing. He does not care how the target is hit, be that £100 for a season ticket and 30000 sales, or the price we have now. Its purely ensuring the revenue is hit. If we had done them half the price and sold twice what we have, he'd be happy with that, as the revenue forecast has been hit. So basically based on above the commercial/marketing team have took the safe route of we may sell 9000 so divide that forecast by 9000 and thats the price, making their own job easier than trying to entice fans back and fail the forecast. Lazy thinking if you ask me
  20. They are out of their depth, its like that cancelled concert last year , where they sanctioned the use of the ground, let all the marketing be done at Ewood etc. To then nearly have to pull it themselves before the organisers did as they'd not asked for planning position or seaked permission from the council. It wasnt rovers event, but its their ground. To top it off they didnt do due diligence and these people have disappeared off the map, refunds have not been issued and contact details are no longer active. £££££s over sense
  21. For today's catastrophe to gain any sympathy from a wider audience (remembering outside the supporter base its a transfer that aint happened and nothing more). This needs a roll of honour putting together of all the mistakes this board has made. Does every body remember the article of Steve Keans Lies? All his quotes in one article? This went global and caused significant damage to his tenure and future employment opportunities. To strike down this board, it needs pure facts in an article, in a press release, reminding firstly our supporter base of the mistakes, but also opening the eyes to those outside of our supporter base that this is not in isolation. I learnt a lot during the chess match years ago, and if you are gonna swing, do the opposite to what they expect, as they don't see it coming Press conferences suddenly become about whats happening off the pitch and that's how supporters ultimately get heard and the message hits the sweet spot "the owners"
  22. The strange thing for me, if I was to rank the latest episode it would rank a lot down the table in terms of the "darkest hours" under Venkys. However the reaction to this is off the scale in terms of supporter opinion, im struggling to find (since the statement) a single person not baying for blood. I didnt see this sort of reaction on two relegations Who'd of thought?
  23. I'm half tenpted to put the owners mobile numbers out on here. If a co-ordinated text bomb from 100s hit their phones at the same time, there maybe heads rolling, especially as one number is the very personal, whilst the other is the business mobile?
