  1. Ultimately the clubs actions over the next few weeks will determine the supporter mood , The idea there won't be an organised element of opposition to the current board and owners is a pipe dream for those in charge and those who support what's clearly a f***ing joke. As I've warned Waggott before, the supporters have successfully removed far more infested rot before and if an organised element returns those numbers will outweigh any cordial call of support he thinks may exist. I watched with interest towards the end of the season if those vocal would actually be able to put something together in form of an opposition to the regime. Sadly no one wanted to take a public lead. I'm more than happy to now use my experience, contacts both nationally and internationally to blow a big hole in what's an extremely weak Arsenal
  2. He does divide opinion , but did raise quite quickly a lot of money to jet the Chile singer to Ewood. Twitter can be a strange place , a bit like marmite, you either like them or don't, but it can also be somewhat away from reality. It's also a powerful tool twitter, I've been asked many times to to not tweet certain things due to it influencing opinion, of course I will tweet what I want
  3. The Trust anyone can pay and join , have equal voting rights and by the same token have an equal opportunity to join the board. All opinions differ (if we all thought the same nothing would ever change) . In a democratic organisation no one should be excluded because their opinions differ, and with the appointments the trust have stayed true to democracy which is a good thing.
  4. Agree with much of this, though the event was sent to 3000 people and it was not how many were watching. AGMs can be a bit of washout going through formalities and many have low attendances. I think the Trust did well to get a Eustace and Gestede to attend , which you'd of hoped more than what appeared the 25 or so people included 70% of the trust board attended. These guys don't get paid for running the trust and have put lots of time and effort into organising this event, the attendance should of been much better given the headline guest alone, and reaching out to the masses has to be top of the agenda for the next 12 months to get at least a more visual impact of numbers that care. It would of been nice to see a slide of the make up of the board, who is who, their role and in particular the new elected board members. There was no bio, no pictures or statements of why they would be a good board member. Given the board didn't have a full electorate these were pretty much passed off, which shows anyone can join the board if they want to, though hopefully at some stage their will be more candidates than positions. I'd of liked to hear what the answers from the club actually were in regards to some of the questions posed. In particular why it was one pay day for the early bird? What was the exact response and why do they feel there is a need to raise the price after this? I didn't think there was any clear answers to questions like above, bar data not supporting many concerns. The crowd and revenue is an interesting debate, as the numbers were pooled with the away attendance, creating somewhat of a smokescreen given we have been playing the likes of Leeds. I'd like to see this numbers deciphered far more to what the actual home attendance is, which is data the club has at the touch of the button. Also they should also be able to share the category. If not WHY? The clubs narrative of improvement curves needs challenging, its why we still have incompetence at senior level, its why we get inexperienced Head of operations appointed etc. The club cannot thrive purely on away support. 24% not renewing was the most damning of all statistics, in any business this is a catastrophe. New season tickets (potentially many kids) again mask the steep decline under the current administration and owners. Keep plodding away guys, its a thankless task at times. I think the next event needs to be the club board at King George's Hall in an open meeting so that the fans can pose in an open forum the many questions which continue to go unanswered.
  5. An interesting listen of a podcast Nick Harris did in 2020 https://audioboom.com/posts/7728459-blackburn-rovers-the-incredible-story-of-the-venky-s-turbulent-ownership
  6. Very poor statement, given its had more kick than the match ball I also saw the other day that the engagement guy , can't remember his name, now also has job title commercial manager , surely not?
  7. I think it's in the rules that only the club secretary can formalise the paperwork , this is why they have club secretaries. I don't know how the system works , what it looks like or who uploads what, only that only 1 person under the FA rules has the authority to submit it
  8. I imagine the secretary had a discussion with a number of people and would of been the first aware, who notified who and how it spread around the office is irrelevant. I wasn't there,
  9. I think she was just the messenger tbh
  10. 100% I follow all these apart from Dave, what's his twitter handle ?
  11. Pleased and frustrated at the same time, Pleased we've got a new man in as quick as we have, but frustrated we did not do this 3 weeks ago. Its been brewing for weeks in a cat and mouse way, and the fact JDT is close to new job too, suggests it was a test of wits regarding who is liable to pay who off. Would of rather new manager been involved in Transfer window, but it is what it is now. Hopefully he can rally the troops and we can start being hard to beat, I will take 1-0 off Hyam's ass every week if it keeps us up
  12. Was not mentioned in that meeting at all, would of been terrible to say new manager is Eustace, just waiting for JDT To clear desk. I am aware this was very much a done deal a week ago, due to the "In out in out in out" Behaviours of JDT, But this was certainly not stuck on the group that went Wednesday to burden, I think that been massively unfair to all in attendance. I think we could all tell in the meeting that there could be movement, but it was never said he is 100% out the door,
  13. I would not be too sure about that, that axe still swinging
  14. Got visions of Eustace walking around JDT's car with a clipboard , pointing out scratches and dings before accepting the keys, and JDT Awaiting a black cab to pick him up
  15. For me, when someone suggest they want out as per the summer, it ends one way, they usually leave. Football is a results business and you have to pee with the cock your given. JDT opted to send certain players out, and some that have come in its fair to say are no better than those sent out (Buckley and Travis). We had a good run second half of last season. We clearly have financial issues, but despite this half of squad has come through the door. At 95% of clubs, he'd of been sacked for the run of results, I believe he has been somewhat given a free pass, as has the DOF Due to continued circus off the pitch. The circus suits the managers script when results are clearly not there. I guess the proof in the pudding with be if Eustace can get a tune out of the same squad, only at that point will be really know if we are under/over achieving on the pitch. I was always taught , concentrate on the things you can control, not the ones out of your control
  16. Go on I will bite, CIRCA 40k loss in total, confirmed!!! Source not SWAG Before anyone ask!! To recover most the money is success in current climate,
  17. I would say "Opinion" not fact, but given the Coventry CB Arriving Ex Waggott player , Fleck who Waggott signed at Coventry too, and now Eustace, I think reading between the lines the DOF Has now been made irrelevant, and with that the writing is on the wall. My concern though with lets gets some mates in is, with agents etc and money passing hands, I sincerely hope these are with the best intentions and there is no creaming off the top to top pensions up!!!!!
  18. Just this, when you put his signing on fee and wages into the mix, I believe we actually made a loss
  19. Yep, and I would go as far as saying those who allowed him to remain in situ are as culpable if not more. I think the 10 years service probably saved him last time, but this time its got to be au revoir
  20. I think the try before we buy is the only sensible option here, and the board was right to say NO to a purchase
  21. We are in the a world of social media where things are being passed as facts by random and ITK Everywhere, even hashtag ITK. Its gets snow balled all the time, Our local press have not gone to print or on the radio stating we bombed him mid flight, because it did not happen. I try to avoid tbh, putting things out nowadays, I.e Eustace etc, I was aware of this days ago and some trusted people I did let them know by DM. I did chat with someone yesterday and actually made out I did not know to see if they had same name, which they did. Its not worth the hassle, and much better to wait for the announcements
  22. I can't recall tbh, I know I did say he was focusing very much on Maguire and not the wider picture. Just my opinion of course, but we have much wider issues than not signing a player on loan. The more we put Mcquire fiasco in lights the more we dilute the wider and bigger issues at the club. The frustration was there long before we stuck this cherry on top
