  1. Elliot been a breath of fresh air tbh, he's getting scraps from club, and says it as it is
  2. Understandably there is a lot of emotion around on social media tonight. The working group is quite large now and as you'd imagine lots of emotion in there too. I find I usually need 24 hours of reflection. As a supporter base we created credits this week in the media. It's critical we remain in credit and phase 2, is precise , well thought out and does not alienate either the media or supporter base. There is a number of ideas being discussed, however at the same time, emotions can cloud your thought process after a loss. What we do next will make or break us in terms of credibility. If we turn the media off; we are on our own, and those we wish to remove wins . Equally if we divide the supporter base, we become part of the problem and not the solution. Lets see what we can achieve over the next day or two in terms of a collective move forwards on the chess board.
  3. Lots and lots of people been involved with this @Madon @J*B@Songman @garner1971 plus the groups
  4. Its a coalition of fans including you, collectively we need to work together to find the right solution
  5. Working in Unity is crucial. The trust no longer represent my views, which is tough to say as someone who helped Wayne get it off the ground, as one of the first members and a former secretary. So the likelihood of people joining under this one banner is extremely unlikely. I'd hoped they would of joined the supporters cause as others had prior to yesterdays release. Since the release more groups have joined the coalition including Proud Rovers and we won't be far off a full suite as support grows. The bargaining chips with the club become less when you flat refuse to work with other supporters and groups, without even knowing or taking the opportunity to influence the direction. Right now if the club stated it was raining tomorrow I'd be wearing my sunglasses. The continued lip service to keep them in the board room longer is tiresome. The club requires a strong senior leadership team, and cannot prosper under either these owners or it's current exec team.
  6. Welcome aboard, been great getting to know you this evening.
  7. The timing to release at 9am today was for these reasons. 1. We have to legally notify the club if a press release is imminent if we name individuals. 2. With international break just ended, we knew it be slow news day bar press conferences today, so for this to go National (we are championship so less air time) it was perfect slot 3. We knew club had a big PR campaign on route about backing the team, whilst Gestede has interviews lined up Tuesday. We also knew the manager had his presser today and it would scew the script they intended to brief him on. 4. We knew by giving them the heads up yesteday they'd be fumbling a reaction to a potential protest. They'd called a senior leadership meeting to head this off, unbeknown to them our unity message both screwed their PR campaign and every response they thought they had covered. 5. We expected them to refuse the request to not attend, whereas in essence they now become the protest organisers. 6. We expected this stance giving us a whole week to plan for next Fridays game, a phase 2. 7. The story which has run today has played out 100% as we expected, which now makes us stronger because we have their measure. We had to take a risk, i think even our own supporters were expecting a protest to be called and a rant at venkys. We measured the risk of by pushing for pre 10am traction. We'd already primed the media and done some market intelligence to see how it would land with the media. Experience has certainly paid off here, understanding what we did previously, what worked , what didn't, but also being cute. It was always going to end supporters 1 v 0 board, today. However their statement has probably just made it 2-0, as they are clearly on the ropes, before we've even turned up the heat. This is our first coalition action but we are already moving with the next. This one's history.
  8. No , I stated Gestede, whilst also stating at least Broughton didn't let contracts run out
  9. The club never once turned off communication with me or the action group , quite the opposite; they were begging for meetings This myth that "they won't talk if we don't be nice" needs to be extinguished. Being professional and being clear in representation whilst stating clearly the consequences has and will always be the way to get a tune. The last time I spoke to Waggott, I was clear, his next communication would be via a press release. 3 months later I honoured by pledge. We can't play tippy happy with the fear of losing what some perceive as a perk. The greatest honour as a representative is the trust those bestow on you to be their voice , their safe pair of hands and their man in the field Your own opinion ceases to exist as you are there to carry out the members wishes. The club are now feeling the small tremor sent today. We are just getting warmed up, and already they are penning responses (totally unheard of in their tenure) because they are rocking The last trust statement was good, but gained no response To get what you seek, new ownership, you need things that impact Me as a person, and I can only speak for me. I will back anyone who is democratically elected by the supporter base. I want to see what they are going to do for me and my club, and an opportunity to vote for them. We've a lot of groups, too many in my opinion.
  10. https://x.com/BBCLancsSport/status/1905669967615234524?t=Gk4cdicTbCHc0RsfaE5h_g&s=19
  11. We do, and many of us feel this way. However as long as I can get air in my lungs i won't let these b@@@@@@@ win. In groups we've all had these days of feeling , what's the point. The fact we talk about it, galvanises the point and we get back on the horse Try not beat yourself up .
  12. Try and take a few days , it's a tough gig, but we need more like you to have a go.
  13. We need to just relax and cut the trust some slack It's a thankless task giving your time for free to try and make a difference. These guys deeply care about the club and have been banging their heads against the wall like most of us for near on 15 years. Sometimes we make the right choices, sometimes the wrong ones. We make them though in what we think at the time is the right direction. Yes things need to improve, but there is improvement in all of us. Working in unity is the only way to achieve the goals we all seek, a club that cares for us as much as we care for the club. Today has been a good day in turning up the heat. The trust has a crucial part to play in everyone getting what we seek, a club in the right hands.
  14. I agree, engagement awful, limited to a few and hardly anything shared. Zero interviews with local media
  15. Will digest with others this latest development. However my early thoughts is 1-0 to the fans. They ain't ever responded to a statement from supporters before. Tomorrow will be interesting
  16. Lots of brfcs involved in Coalition, Josh n co been invaluable
  17. A lot if request coming in for the coalition for interviews. Talksport, 5live, radio lancs amongst them. Sky also made contact , we will have some new faces, new ideas taking these up. Interesting the wider football community in shock about Gestede's new role
  18. Fans are the own regulators, and I'm sure they will react if they are there. However it's on them , We will not taking foot off the gas and welcome anyone who wants to get involved in steering group. Every supporter is unique and important and their choices, feelings and opinions must be respected
  19. Request went to all groups, some declined for their own different reasons.
  20. Fantastic team effort, a lot of groups now on board and a large working group each taking a piece of pie to work on to bring together . Proud of them all, and to see new faces emerge to re-energise the movement we all so desperately seek
  21. We are nearly there, some fantastic collaboration from the working group. Was a late one last night with many working away until 3 am to try and finalise the launch. We've had discussion with trusted media contacts who like the approach and its 100% positive feedback from them, and they will run with this. Around 70 media outlets will be contacted and we need everyone to play their part by sharing around social media, whatsapp etc. The common thing that binds us all together is our love for our club. "Enough is enough"
