  1. Looking at the comments, it is not the first time since the news broke I have seen people thinking that Rovers will get the money from the newly built house sales!
  2. Maybe the answers to that are better posted in private or via DM's by those co-ordinating such things. Never know who is reading the forum 🙂 wouldn't want any surprises to be spoiled if there are objections would we? To bring a war time phrase up to date Loose lips cost dips (in the current brockhall training facility)
  3. Ben Fisher although not blue ticked is listed on the Guardian site as a sports journalist
  4. Hypothetically It certainly would smell a lot sweeter, depending on the added income/facilities a rebuild could bring post covid, but would prefer if that was built first ,Venky's fund it (they never refuse to sign a cheque 🙂 ), then they can have part of the the money back after the Brockhall sale. Wouldn't want a Riverside rebuild to fall through after the sale of Brockhall because of a "technical" issue. 😉 Another hypothetical idea, is a realistic bash at getting back into the Premier League , more cash generated then selling land/assets, even if we last one season, after all Venky's seemed keen, ToMo had to stop them chucking money at this mad idea in favour of a slow build.
  5. Rovers will not get anything like 50/60 million for the land, that is a number thrown about taking into account the value from selling all the houses that are built. Unless Rovers are going into the construction industry , Rovers will be lucky to get a Quarter to a third of that. Depending what it costs to rebuild the new combined facility, any remaining will probably just about cover losses for one season at current levels if we are lucky.
  6. First of all lets establish a baseline as to treating the owners with a modicom of respect and trustworthiness : Mine is just pre-takeover 12th in the Premier League, only 24 million of debt. Then we move on to them providing honest answers about their just like family members and the cover ups in secret court cases. Will answer the rest of the question when we are there. Fair?
  7. You have watched the first team recently haven't you? Don't inflict this on the younger ones.
  8. According to the CCC (Blackburn offices) that picture is photoshopped as are all photos from Pleasington/ Brockhall circa 1991/1992/1993 🙂 Please go to sleep repeating Brockhall training facilities are 30 years old.
  9. I think you are right on the opening year of the senior training facility sometime in 1994 , at a cost of 4.5/5 million from memory.
  10. It must have been hell for Rovers players training at Brockhall in 1991 especially when they started demolishing the hospital on the site a year later. Alt-news courtesy of Blackburn Rovers
  11. It will be easier for them to go to one place to get the autographs of all the teenage Premier league loans that will be padding out our team in the next stage of our "progress"
  12. If anybody is good at drawing up development plans can they get in touch . Think it would be good to submit relevant information like ones that have been proposed before by our owners to build a state of the art academy . It will not be much work, just a photo of the proposed site in Pune when identified in 2011 and the same photo with added cow grazing on it in 2021, along with a few well worded platitudes..
  13. Is TM admitting he does not pick the team? If not then it was his choice to play him today
  14. Link If the link does not work go to ebay.com.au search term Blackburn collectables (with an a and not an i ) Worth reading the seller feedback
  15. You have chosen well young Roverchimp , When you are on a journey, some maybe drawn to a different path to seek joy, whilst others endure the same old repetitive shit served up week after week - Mr Miyagi - 20/2/21 (probably)
  16. Ladies and Gentlemen we apologise your journey has been delayed again, but cheer up we are building a new smaller bus stop
  17. Hope it is built a bit quicker than the ground breaking Rovers academy in Pune
  18. Might be wrong but didn't somebody post the other day that the house the V's bought from one of the Nevilles is up for sale? If it is and bearing that in mind, trying to get planning permission on Brockhall may be a way of making the club a bit more attractive to potential buyers?.
  19. Tony Mowbray January 2025 : "You can not expect us to compete with clubs that have excellent training facilities, whilst we have to share with the under 9's. It's a long time since Blackburn Rovers had a state of the art training facility for the senior teams" Asked on the sudden departure of assistant manager Mark Venus , Mowbray laughed and said "funnily enough , I got a postcard from him today from the Bahamas" "The owners can see what we are trying to do here"
  20. "I have a big steel barrier up in front" Could explain why the journey is taking so long, the mowbrautomobile sat nav can't find a alternate route
  21. Mogga , Are we there yet? Shhhsh lads, Ill just reset the milometer and the journey will seem shorter
