  1. and the same will happen to the next man.
  2. I blame the walker family. They didn’t care who they sold to.
  3. I’m assuming JDT offered to walk away for free last summer, not this summer because the aim for the club was simply “stay up”. That was turned down and now they’ll have to sack him and pay up his contract. Just for clarification. What a total shitshow.
  4. This situation can’t go on. JDT is making his own position untenable. I respect his honesty though.
  5. 5 points above relegation zone.
  6. His bio simply says he’s a fan.
  7. In other words, he hasn’t got a clue to what’s happening.
  8. I can’t see how this situation can be resolved Arbitro.
  9. This might be better here. As for the transfer window…… well the club have known for quite some time what JDT wanted. He virtually told everyone what he wanted. They had time to plan both the sale of Wharton and the buying, or loaning of suitable targets. What happened? Well IMO Wharton was sold without his agreement, none of that money was spent (and none will be) and as for the recruitment of players it appears that once again rovers finished up just taking whoever was still available on the last day of business. How can any manager, with any ambition whatsoever accept that? It’s not an isolated transfer window for rovers, it happens every time. It will happen again in the summer. I wouldn’t blame him if he walked. In some ways it might shake Waggott and Co up. I doubt it very much though. There isn’t a born and bred Blackburn Rovers man at the club is there?
  10. The club couldn’t wait to get him out and get the money in. Couldn’t wait. They didn’t try in any way whatsoever to hang on to him. Football is secondary at Ewood nowadays. Probably has been for a while in truth.
  11. We will never see that money. Loans this window, nothing for permanent signings in the summer. I’ll bloody swear by that.

  14. All Nixon is saying is that Wharton deal might, or might not go through - and the Maguire deal might, or might not go through. Fence sitting in the extreme.
  15. Maybe that 37yr old we signed could give it a go up front?
  16. Consider these points. Wharton wasn’t pushing to leave because he’d just signed a new, long term contract. If rovers were wanting to get the best price for their best young talent, surely they wouldn’t sell him at the end of January to probably the only bidder. Wouldn’t they wait until the summer where the market is much bigger? why would they sell him at the end of Jan when credible, quality replacements just aren’t there? There are only two possibilities for me. The owners are desperate for cash or they don’t know what they’re doing. I’ll go for the first option.
  17. Had an idea. Instead of selling every youngster worth anything at the drop of a hat, why not keep hold of them for as long as possible, they would give us a better chance of reaching the PL - then we could keep them and even add to them with even better players? How does that plan compare to the plan since JW died?
  18. Admin, do your work. Whenever the word “reinvest” is used, change it to “throw it away” - or something else of your choice.
  19. Well four goals and a couple of dozen olés always makes for a good night - whoever the opposition. Two leagues apart and it showed. A few returnees as well. Take the positives and be happy.
  20. I wondered that as well.
