  1. Not particularly looking forward to this one. We know Huddersfield are going to have more possession than us, therefore will dictate the pace of the game. We can only hope they're as toothless as Derby were. My only prediction is that it won't be exactly "champagne" football. Goodness knows how we.ll score the goals we desperately need.
  2. That's a great idea, I'll go along with that.
  3. I didn't know Kelbo, but this news has hit hard. All I can say is that if we could all present ourselves as Kelbo did on this site, it would be one heck of a better community. His posts and knowledge of everything Blackburn Rovers will be missed greatly.
  4. That's really sad news. Best wishes to his family and friends.
  5. Goodwillie must sit out the Derby game - and the next 14 games after that! http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9995403.Returning_Rover_can_make_an_impact/
  6. He's also played down the middle. Irrespective though, you can see what he's like wherever he's played.
  7. A proper chance? He's had playing time - that's a proper chance. Too slow and runs like a penguin. Penguin's have never made it in English football before, obviously Scottish football's ideal for them. P**s wet through and frozen no doubt.
  8. I feel a bit sorry for DG because this was the wrong move for him and for the club. Can't buy this argument that he's not fit though. He's just a natural slow person.
  9. That's what I was getting at Paul. Getting Cavendish through is fine and has worked before, but surely if the leaders are getting into an uncatcheable position, then the tactics have to be changed. One question for you, when todays tactics of getting Cav through have been successful, have the team had the advantage of Radios? I don't know the answer to that.
  10. Agreed that the refusal by other countries to take on some of the workload cost the Brits, but I also wonder, because they had no radios, whether the Brits were always aware of the size of the lead. It's easy from here though!
  11. Well you congratulated me on my fancy dress Ozz - and I wasn't wearing one.
  12. First, a thank you and an apology to Dawn. Thank you for keeping the burial tradition going, because who knows - if it hadn't have happened yesterday, it might never have happened again. An apology also for letting her down on a request. We honestly didn't know until yesterday lunchtime, if we could make it or not. The real good thing now, is that Bob might get his tea on the same day now. Another big thank you to the three or four police cars and the St John's ambulance people who turned up to make sure we got across Bolton Road safely. We managed that with no-one getting injured, or even worse, dieing. The lone Sunday driver who had to stop so we could cross looked a bit miffed though. How much notice do you have to give these people Dawn? Me and the missus will probably have to cross Golden Hill to get to Morrisons on Saturday. Maybe they could all help us out.
  13. I would have said hello Tom, but I don't know you either.
  14. Taking the grandson, with his full Liverpool regalia!
  15. Totally agree Bazza. I thought it was the duty of the police to "police" events, not to be the decision makers of what can and what can't take place. They're supposed to serve the community, not run it.
  16. Lovely stuff Ozz. I remember Thommo as a strong and reasonably technical player. Not blessed with pace though, which probably stopped him from moving into higher leagues. Very sad to hear of his death. Far, far too young.

  18. Un-be-lee-va-ble. Where do we go from here? Could things be any worse?
  19. Cryer says there's more on the Jensen story tomorrow. "Interesting stuff on Jensen, more in tmrw's LT"
  20. Which is a real shame. Obviously the LT need to keep relations between themselves and the owners as sweet as possible, - but isn't it for everyone's benefit that they ask the difficult questions?
  21. No facts at all yet.
  22. That's a pitiful statement. Doesn't say why he's left, has he resigned, has he been sacked or what? Has this come from Paul Agnew, because if it has, it does him no favours. It just looks as though it's another case of the fans not really being important. What's happened to BRFC?
  23. Hmmm, so the light blue perspex kit was only for one season. I wouldn't have known that.
  24. That looks like the Perspex strip. Perspex were the sponsors for 6 years in the 80's, I think. [1984-1991] EDIT Just seen it gives the date below the Photo as 1991 against Swindon Town.? and another Edit. look under "sponsors" Link.
  25. Not many, but these were taken when football was football. HERE
