  1. Stand C for me as well - unreserved seating. Total sell out. My first T20 too.
  2. See you there then Gumboots.
  3. Anderson was saying that the new "positivity" would be taken forwards to the tests. Hope so because positive teams/individuals win everything. Just hope someone's told Cook.
  4. Hope you stayed right to the end Matt. A gameYorkshire were always in control of, even up to the start of the last over. It was pretty much a one man show from Lancs, - but what a man!
  5. Is that the faintest bit of light we can see? I really hope so. Some excellent performances there, especially from the middle order. I still have big doubts about Cooks captaincy. He's not forceful or positive enough. He doesn't seem demanding of his side. Now add Peitersen to that middle order and we could really scare a few teams.
  6. But if he picks Pietersen in the squad Chaddy, you'll be annoyed won't you?Edit Can't believe we posted that at the same time Abbey!
  7. I think you underestimate he ability Gumboots. "He may be good at what he does" and feeling let down at his lack of consistency, really play down his class. I think it was bumble who said Pietersen is the best ever English batsman. He obviously rates him as being better than good. Your second point about consistency - well I've heard that kind of thing about various cricketers, from various fans. However, more so in cricket than other sports, stats do tell the story. If a player averages let's say 50 over a career, then for every duck he gets, he gets one century. Are we saying we don't want batsmen to score hundreds, we only want them to score fifties? The average tells you everything. The classiest batsmen have the highest averages.
  8. On the Thursday, which is the second day's play. You going Gav, - I guess it's your home ground now?
  9. You only kick top sportsmen out of the game if you believe you'll be a better team without them. Will some of you guys who are happy to see him kicked out of international cricket tell me how we're better off? There are ways of dealing with thorny characters. You can fine them, ban them for a game or even a whole series if they're really that bad - but kick them out forever? Totally ridiculous thing to do.If you want to be the best you can be, you need the best players playing. I'm off to Edgebaston in July to watch the ashes test. What would excite me more than anything, would be to see KP annihilating the Aussies as he can do. I'm sure the vast majority of England fans would want the same. We're being denied that because of petty personality clashes, where personal pride and the desire to continue this saga by some, is dragging down any potential that England might have to actually start to win games again. I agree with Al. The England cricketing authorities should be ashamed by how they've "managed" this saga.
  10. 🚶🏻🚶🏻🚶🏻
  11. Do me a favour Abbs, - not on here pleeeease.
  12. Shearer and Sutton apparently didn't get on. Maybe we should have told Sutton that he was affecting "trust", kicked him out and forgot about winning the league?
  13. Pietersen has been such a bad influence that he's only made 104 test appearances. "Only 104". And during much of that time the England team morale looked to be far higher than it is now. For me, this whole "trust" argument doesn't work. It's a cover up. England's results and performances over the years are down to the individual talent on offer, they're nothing to do with how KPs behaviour has affected anything. And if his behaviour hasn't affected results, then what's the problem? Are we to drop anyone because they're not popular, or are a bit of an absolute idiot every now and again? What matters most - winning by any means, or everyone getting on nicely? One things for absolute certain, Our opponents gain far more from us not playing him, than we do. Still, chin up, winning doesn't mean everything old chaps. Turning up and playing the game is paramount it seems.
  14. So why have Wigan lost so many good players CLB? Are all the British clubs losing them to the Southern Hemisphere sides, or is it just Wigan that have lost them?
  15. Impressive. Looks good for the future.
  16. Why are Wigan playing so many youngsters Clare - injuries, or has the squad been weakened recently?
  17. Nope.
  18. Went to look for Fargo on catch up and it's all there except for episode 1! Great eh?
  19. Seen the red wedding yet K-Hod?
  20. Boredom of the scrums? They are fierce affairs that have a major impact on the game. Shouldn't "boredom of the scrums" be directed at the farce of the league scrum?
  21. But it's a far bigger game?
  22. I'm far from an expert when it comes to Rugby, but league bores the pants off me most of the time. 5 tackles then kick and hope for the best isn't it? Repeat ad finitum.

    RIP Tashor

52 - that's so sad. It's very difficult to put in words, especially on a football forum, how I - and doubtless everyone else - feel for you guys and Your family. I wish you well for the future.
  24. I think they were in a negative light well before Glen posted last night Rev.
