  1. Piers Morgan.... BREAKING: I'm hearing that Ben Stokes intervened to help two gay guys who were being abused by yobs, one of whom was armed with a bottle.
  2. Got to agree with Jim. That video, - while not being comprehensive - makes it almost impossible to pick him.
  3. Don't see Hales as a test cricketer to be honest.
  4. Good on yer Matty. Should be great.
  5. It'll be a sad day for me when test cricket takes secondary importance to any form of one day cricket. Where you going Matty, I'm envious?
  6. We've just beaten South Africa 3-1 Gav and lead Windies 1-0. Patience Gav.
  7. Chairman believes Lancs on the brink of something big. "Now, with The Point, redeveloped pavilion and hotel all in place and able to generate non-cricketing revenue greater than any other county ground, Hodgkiss feels the club is in a wonderful position – especially with the new city-based T20 tournament due to start in 2020 and a hectic 2019 which will see the club host an Ashes Test and a World Cup semi-final." http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/cricket/lancashire-david-hodgkiss-one-love-13518967.amp?service=responsive
  8. With a blind dog? I know, how can the blind dog find it's way there?
  9. Yep, I don't like it either Gav.
  10. From solid Premier League club with little debt, to a club losing its first two games in the old third division and £100m+ in debt, closing radio rovers and staff redundancies. for Gods sake, just sell up, just go! You've failed and you're still failing.
  11. How can you not be a protestor Chaddy? I thought everyone was a protestor in one way or another.
  12. Hope it stops raining Gav. Not convinced about day/night test matches in this country to be honest.
  13. If you're playing three at the back, those three need to have pace. Where is it?
  14. Yes, I was very surprised at the pace and power from the ladies. Good player Konta. First time I've watched her.
  15. Jennings just walked without reviewing after being given out LBW, to a ball that pitched outside leg and was missing the wickets. Aargh, you can't give the opposition those.
  16. You said his fitness depends on how hard he works, but we are talking about age and some players just have to bow out sooner than others.
  17. No doubting his past record, but 33 years old in 3 months time? Obviously the question is does he have the fitness? Doubt any of us know the answer to that so it's just a matter of wait and see. Keep in mind though that he's a midfielder and whatever league you're in, you still need to be able to get around the park. A lot of fixtures in this league as well.
  18. I think my point is that Newton, Douglas, Pickering, Clayton, Ferguson, McEvoy, Harrison, Rogers, Metcalfe, McKenzie, Fazackerley, Field, jones - etc, etc didn't need millions of academy investment behind them, they simply had the talent.
  19. There is an argument as to whether all the money spent on academies, brings through any more youngsters, or better quality youngsters than when rovers simply had the pitches at Feniscowles or even little Wembley.
  20. Egyptian Pete... All gone, we start again......... in league 1. giving an academy coach the gig because apparently "he deserved a chance", rather than advertising the vacancy or approaching other more experienced managers failed to arrest the decline either on the field or financially. It's a part of the reason why we are here.
  21. There's no way anyone at Ewood has scouted the dozens and dozens of loans we've had over the last few years.
  22. There's a lot of luck and fortune involved in bringing players in, especially loan players. The usual way with this is that managers looking for loans just ring round clubs asking if they have anyone available. Loan players aren't usually scouted or watched as permanent signings SHOULD be. Some work out, many don't, but getting players on loan is usually down to the loaning club manager, than the manager taking a player.
