  1. Anyway, this rovers team do impress me. They are positive (from the games I’ve seen), they work tremendously hard, they have good balance and the team spirit seems to be excellent. Rovers just don’t give teams time on the ball. And there’s Dack who is going to get his chance in the PL pretty soon. If Mowbray can add two or three quality players we could exceed expectations IMO.
  2. Just have. ?
  3. The reason we are a better team now is because we haven’t got Rhodes or Gestede. We now have 11 players all running, chasing, putting the opposition under pressure then breaking quickly. Dack and Graham make this side tick. Rhodes and Gestede held us back. Dack and Graham, or Rhodes and Gestede? I know which works better for the team.
  4. From BBC on Jimmy..... “He now has 553 Test wickets and is just 10 behind Australian Glenn McGrath's record for the most wickets taken by a seamer in Test cricket.” So Jimmy is just 11 wickets away from becoming the highest wicket taker in test cricket by a fast bowler, EVER. That will really be something for him to be proud of. You can do no more than that. Well done James.
  5. Virgin are having a lot of problems with their fibre broadband routers. They work fine as long as you’re no more than around 3 or four metres away, after that the signal drops away tremendously. Check your speeds with an online speed checker to see if that is the problem. Skygo works great for me on regular sky broadband of around 17 mb at home and works fine on hotel broadband here in Cyprus. Have a google about virgin broadband problems. Mate of mine has been told by virgin that he needs to have boosters spread around his house.
  6. Well you guys on here have seen far more of Armstrong than me, but from what I have seen I wasn’t impressed at all really. Not sure what function he serves in the team and seemed to disappear for long periods. Hopefully you’ll tell me that I’ve got that wrong.
  7. A lot of angry Lancs fans around. Last 5 wickets fell for 14 runs, while JOE ROOT! took 4 for 5! not good enough. and Lancs have been deducted 1 point for a slow over rate meaning only 2 points from the game.
  8. Paul Madeley has died aged 73. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/jul/23/paul-madeley-former-leeds-united-england-dies-age-73
  9. You’re right about Livingstones value to T20 Husky. We wouldn’t have beaten Yorkshire without him, that’s for sure. Big blow.
  10. They also said on the eve of the game that there were less than 1000 tickets available. I don’t know Matt, but everyone will be happy with the whole evening. Except Yorkshire.
  11. Yesterday lancs said the attendance was going to be the highest ever T20 attendance outside London (apart from the final). 22000 on weren’t there? Brilliant game for sure, the crowds love this particular one, although the other T20’s at OT will probably be around the 1000 Mark? I guess lancs just have to maximise their income from this game and any tests, because the income from everything else must be pretty awful. Even so, @ £25 a ticket and £5 a pint + £1 deposit for the glass, it’s a very expensive layout for a 14 over game. I agree about the delayed start. We made our way to our seats at 7:20 and the players were out there warming up in perfect playing conditions. They should have been playing the game at that point. Anyway, a great day out, followed by an hour back at Wetherspoons and £2:25 a pint ?. Only other downside was my mate having his wallet stolen with £100 and a load of cards in it. Lancs are quite fearsome in this form of the game, long may that last.
  12. Easy win for lancs tonight. 4 T20 wins on trot and top of table. Roll on Friday. (Rain around though) ?
  13. Horrible kit. Couldn’t have got it more wrong without ditching the halves.
  14. Was he a master baker Gumboots?
  15. Ridiculous isn’t it. How are players supposed to perform consistently at test level when the itinerary is composed like it is? There’s no way the England test team can challenge to become the best test side (which would be my priority) unless they play long and hard against the best teams.
  16. There’s a lot of things that I’m not better than Chaddy. Trying to work out your post was better than I could be better than. Apart from which, your reply was for some reason in perfectly understandable English. anyway...... when you have two fast bowlers with the records of Jimmy and Broad, if they’re fully fit you play them. They’ve done it for a long time. They won’t lose their talent, only their fitness.
  17. Thanks Bob. Wasn’t someone advocating dropping a couple of them?
  18. Not seen much of the test, who’s taken the wickets?
  19. That’s Swansea then. They’re coming from everywhere. ?
  20. That car number plate was registered in Norwich in 2011. Anthony Pilkington played there, that year. scroll down. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_the_United_Kingdom
  21. It could well be that the pitches are out and out bowling pitches at this time of year Matty. They’re bound to be holding at least a bit of moisture in April. All the innings in lancs games have been low scoring so far. I’m hoping that’s the case ?
  22. Lancs ccc profits doubled. The future looks red.? http://www.lccc.co.uk/cricket/news/2018-news/lancashire-cricket-announce-92-increase-in-operating-profit-to-2-347-000/
  23. A lot of people are saying they’ve never seen so many Aussies crying since Scott and Charlene got married in neighbours. ?
