  1. Yes, we know. We were just discussing Mowbray in comparison to Warnock and his Boro team seeing as he is always named as an alternative to Moebrau. It was noted this Boro team would have had 4 years of parachute payments, so while they struggled last season, I would say they have a decent squad. Looks like it's very possible we will pass them.
  2. Indeed, Mowbray has assembled a decent squad.
  3. Pull the plug, as in fire him. Boro arguably have a much better squad than us though. I think they might even still have parachute payments. I wouldn't bet against us finishing ahead of them to be honest
  4. Would you pull the plug in Warnock now? Do you think they will finish ahead of us?
  5. Nyambe is rarely, if ever beaten in one on ones. He's very solid. No reason why he can't start adding a few assists Ya, not looking great, but I think Ayala is good when fit. Just hopefully he gets back playing regularly. It's going to be a long three years if it's always like this. Trybull ,not working out no, it's hard to see where he fits in. Especially with Evans back. I would keep him around ,but I wouldn't be surprised to see the loan terminated.
  6. I would agree on all of that. There is no way Nyambe is anywhere near the best in the league whilst his offensive output is so low. If he builds on last week's goal though and keeps doing that, what a player he will be. I think Douglas gave away those frees due to the years catching up a bit. He's cute enough when he makes them though, not bad ones to give away. I think he reads the game well, has decent passing range, he just physically has strugled and at times and that led to him making mistakes. Hopefully with his fitness improving, we will see more from him.
  7. Saw that too. I think was feeding off the Riverside. To be fair, Mowbray was a hard centre half back when that meant you were actually hard, Warnock was a physio. There is only one winner there!
  8. Now , Neil Warnock as your son-law , there's a disturbing image 😂
  9. You are a huge Kipre fan. You must have watched more of him that me. Hopefully if we do sign him, he's as good as you believe!
  10. Or maybe he just had a decent run of it at Wigan. Who knows. There is a reason why he isn't getting a look in there. They are shipping goals.
  11. It seems like there is far too big a gap between under 23 football and the senior team. It's rare a player comes straight from the U23s and starts commanding a first team place, at Rovers this is the case anyway. Yet you have someone like Elliott then who just bypasses it all at 16/17. I think the media scrutiny comes into it and it's mental for players and managers are perhaps too cautious. Cos as you say, the under 23s always seem to be seriously punching above their weight. It's an interesting question, what is the gap and ultimately,is it worth having one? It feels important to me to have one.
  12. Lambert's abysmal. Bennett by far the best
  13. Ya, stonking home banker. Probably at best a scruffy last minute injury time winner after going 1-0 down 😂
  14. He's not even in their team, that's the point. He isn't even in the squad. I would take some of their starters though ,no doubt. A good championship squad.
  15. I like the look of the team though to be honest. Maybe Travis or Rothwell for Elliott though. Ideally it would be Nyambe there, with Wharton or Ayala one of the 3 CBs.
  16. He must be well off it if he can't make the bench for this WBA team. They are shipping goals left, right and center
  17. Or maybe he just isn't that good? Hence why Bilic and now Big Sam don't fancy him
  18. So here we are again. Not quite on "the cusp" of the play offs just yet, but not far off it. Luton have been a bit of a bogeyteam for us of late, but surely this is a game where we stamp our credentials and go on a run that brings us deep into the play off places 🙂 I can feel it 😉 I would go with the following Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Brantwhaite Douglas Travis Rothwell Elliott Dack Brereton Armstrong If 4-3-3 Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Brantwhaite Douglas Dack Travis Rothwell Elliott Armstrong Brereton
  19. Ya,me too. Craven cottage looked like it was as bad, but it had been really patched up. It was like Fulham ,who want to play football, at home, playing on a bog against Burnely , who bog ball suits.
  20. Interesting. Ya, no doubt that adds to the soggieness. I think that's a word 🤣
  21. Warnock after the weekends game Marcus Tavernier also came off against Rovers in the second half with an injury which Warnock put down to the Riverside surface. He added: "It’s another slip on the grass. The pitch is not very good at all - and it won’t be for the rest of the season. Everybody’s slipping on it all the time, and it was another slip.”
  22. How do we keep getting back in with a chance? Just shows the inconsistency in the league. It's the hope that kills ya
  23. I hadn't seen a pitch as bad until Craven cottage. Genuinely , it was almost as bad and they are a PL club!
