  1. He does switch off at times
  2. Nyambe doesn't strike me as someone who would fight with the manager. Sounds like a case of conclusions being jumped to
  3. I thought the exact same. Sounds like a really odd excuse for not playing him. The two you mention had bad games and were still in the fold, same with Raya, Brereton, Mulgrew to name 3 more. Nyambe was responsible for the Bristol goal when he came on though, so not doing himself any favours, but maybe his confidence is knocked. Mine would be too if I saw Bennett starting ahead of me
  4. The thread titles could have been better/clearer. As they are they can be construed in different ways. Some of those saying reassess in summer are also saying that he should probably go then. Also the final answer, could be "no, he's doing a fine job" Anyway, ya I read some vocal Rovers supporters on Twitter say stuff along the lines if "those lunatics over at brfcs.com are having a thread whether we should sack Mowbray, the lunatics!!!". It seemed they heard second hand whispers and hadn't even looked themselves, as in fairness , barring a handful of posters, most do want to give him the summer/next season. Having said that, I think some on here, particularly some mods, give a real free pass to those more extreme in saying he should leave. It's actually like they can't see the posts.
  5. Watch it. He definitely wasn't joking.
  6. I wouldn't say it's bias. If you know any Irish people you would know that we specialise in criticizing our own! On Julie I think she gets a hard time when there were far worse players here over the years. Far, far worse.
  7. He is one of the best centre halves in the league this year. Starting for the team who I reckon will get automatic promotion. He is definitely worth at least 4 million. How do you work out that Bauer would be a star in this division, is he even a star in league 1? Horgan hasn't really gotten going, but Alan Brown is flying it and regularly gets man of the match.
  8. Indeed. It completely nullified us Saturday. Pulis gave tomo a schooling
  9. As a TV ariel maybe. I would definitely describe his defending as static
  10. Maybe some mutual party suggested both Mowbray and Waggott. I don't think Mowbray had any part to play in it to be honest.
  11. Would it? I am sure people behind the scenes have been appointed to clubs where managers are in place that they worked with before.
  12. Ya, you said he influenced the Waggott appointment. That sounds definite, as in you know something. if you said you assume he influenced it, that is very different. I would just find it hard to believe he told Venkys who to appoint to such a key role
  13. Well Venus does go where Mowbray goes, so saying he got his mate a job is a bit unfair. Many managers bring their assistants with them from club to club. Mick McCarthy always brings Terry Connors with him. With regards Waggott getting the job, how do you know Mowbray influenced that appointment? Or are you just assuming he did?
  14. He is one of the best center half's in the league and was within our budget If an English person recommends an English player, do you ask them the same question?
  15. Back then, that was probably better than a lot of players were eating! Now we are competing with teams who have nutritionists and dietitians. I wouldn't say many are eating pre-game fry ups.
  16. Think we would have been better off spending 4 million on John Egan and pairing him with Lenihan. 2 physical center halves who are relatively young.
  17. So now this has been clarified for you by showing you the video of Dack himself saying it. Do you think it's good that he is eating a fry up as his pre-game meal?
  18. On soccer Am. Oldgregg shared the video in the Boro match thread. Youtube is blocked for me here
  19. Don't even get where I am actually from in Ireland. I would say we are all a bit over the place accent wise over here. So many different ones
  20. Yes, you are right. If they can't be coached to be better, then he needs to replace them. I am starting to suspect we aren't as well coached as other teams and I won't go on about diet again, but I think that would suggest we are a bit behind where we need to be in that area also. Mowbray seems to trust the players to set their own standards, but when I hear our star man saying he eats a fry up on match day, it sets alarm bells off for me. The coaching issue also stretches to fitness levels, as does diet. Why do we concede so many late goals? Both could be a factor
  21. It can to a point, but not if the staff just don't have the capacity.
  22. He did, when he noticed the surprised reaction the reporter gave to the answer of a full English. He says it's all he eats on gameday. Slow release carbs like porridge should be on the menu on game day. Not a greasy fry up. You eat that if you have a hangover.
  23. Chaddy, he said it himself in an interview on Soccer am. It's on Youtube
  24. Player ratings. This is comical, how Can Williams get a 5 and Graham a 6? Williams should have been a 2 at most https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17439379.blackburn-rovers-0-middlesbrough-1-player-ratings/
  25. Why is it OTT? The club captain said he is always eating mayonnaise and Dack himself said in an interview that his pre-match meal is a full English. It's ludicrous carry on from a highly paid professional. My point is that it shows that the players can do what they like without any fear of being called on it. Do you think it is ok to eat a full English the morning of a game?
