https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17440145.rovers-defender-derrick-williams-will-serve-a-two-match-ban/ Only 2 games? Pity I think how Evans is looking at Williams in the picture in the article sums up all of our feelings.

Well, we could be, but it's a bit wild of a claim before seeing how the summer goes!
-
Raya Nyambe Lenihan New New Bench Mulgrew Bell Rodwell 2 crucial signings needed during the summer.
-
I wonder is it down to fitness? Laissez-faire Mowbray and his back room team strike again
-
He deserves the summer. He has big job on his hands. Laissez-faire Mowbray needs to get harder. Get Dack off the frys and mayo. Give player power when necessary, but let them know who the real boss is. Yesterday's performance struck me as one where the players decided the season was over already. They wouldn't do that if they feared the manager. Stop shoehorning players into unnatural positions. Bennett does not need to start every game. Try and play football. Mowbray is starting to remind me of Martin O'Neill when Ireland manager. Constantly saying he has to play long ball football badly because we don't have the players for anything else. We have better footballers. Currently we are far too one dimensional.

Ah man I had a response written in the other thread, then you deleted it. Now it's gone.

Championship 2018-19
Bigdoggsteel replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Amazingly if we got 6 points from out last 4 games, we would only be 6 off the play offs. So tight. Anyway, that ship has sailed. I really hope dirty Leeds don't go up. I don't have much interaction with their fans, but the cockiness/arrogance is strong in here! -
And embarrassing that it was played out live on sky
-
I'm not blaming Dack for anything by the way, my point is that is this kind of unprofessional diet stuff representative of a wider laissez-faire managerial approach? I think it might be. Imagine a warnock team played like yesterday. A few lads Cardiff careers would be over. In fact I think his players would be too afraid to show such a lack of effort as they know what they would get in the dressing room after the game. Mowbray said they will discuss it monday and try to get to the bottom of what happened. All very nice and relaxed sounding. You wouldn't think we had just lost 4 games in a row.
-
Perhaps he does, but how good would he be if wasn't eating mayo and fry ups before games? He doesn't look fit. At times he looks a bit chubby. I'm not doubting his ability.
-
If I was to give him the benefit of the doubt, I would say maybe he doesn't know any better. Then it's up to the club to sort it out. If he is on Soccer am saying he has a fry before a game he either doesn't know its bad or doesn't care if anyone knows because it's obviously not a problem. Mowbray is old school, I wonder does he think a pre game fry is OK? A fry before a game makes no sense. There are little to carbs in it for energy. I bet he probably has ketchup with it and white bread too. I highly doubt the Leeds, Norwich and Sheffield United players are gorging on mayo and fry ups before games. Honestly I was in shock when I heard him say it on youtube. I wouldn't have a fry if I was going playing 5 a side. It couldn't sit well in the stomach. Bizzare stuff really.
-
Anyway, on Dack. I mentioned before that Mulgrew said in an interview that he eats a lot of mayonnaise. Well Dack himself said on soccer am on youtube that his pre game breakfast is a full English. Can someone please get him linked up with a dietician. I find it hard to believe a player at this level does now see the problem with eating like this. Am I over reacting?
-
Or we could try and sign some scouts with experience of the European Market. I am sure Brentford have a few.
-
He tried no doubt, so credit for that. However his quality on the ball was non existent. His first meaningful pass forward he put straight out of play. Armstrong was about 4 meters away from him. He was dropping far too deep. He may as well have been shielding the back four at times.
-
Ya, what was the story with Dack today or pretty much for the last while? Is he turning into a comfortable mid table championship player?
-
True that Mowbray sounded stung in January, but where has it been reported that those two weren't his signings?
-
Preston aside though, its not the worst run. They will probably come and turn us over. Which would be unfortunate. The rest of the games are winnable enough if we manage to get our shit together.
-
It wasn't financial. Mowbray just doing the right thing by the player. Which would have been fine if he signed a replacement. We could all see it coming a mile away. Worrying that Mowbray couldn't.
-
We drop back very early in games. Try and play on the counter or long balls to Graham. A few bits of Dack magic from time to time then adds variety. Some great points made on here tonight. I think there are some worrying trends developing. I would give Mowbray the summer, and I think he will be here regardless of how this season ends up. He needs to get us mathametically safe ASAP and then start trying to change our style of play. There have been no signs of it happening and we can't continue to play the same way next season. He needs to get Chapman and Davenport in. Some good signs from them will be like two new signings. Rothwell and Brereton too. Get them in and decide once and for all if he wants them here. Once we are mathematically safe I will be raging if he continues to play the same way. I don't know what can be done with the defence at this point. Maybe play Magloire and see how he gets on once we are safe. Nyambe has to be right back. Lenihan is a huge loss now, but just shows we shouldn't have let Downing leave on loan without a replacement. I know that we don't have enough defenders who are quick, aggresive and robust enough for this league. Such a rebuilding job is required, I don't think it can be fully sorted in one window unfortunately
-
Good post. I was confused watching. Bennett was right back next thing he is left wing back. He's a trier, but why does Mowbray think he is undroppable? Makes no sense. Brereton out wide at this stage is just now plain stupid. Graham could barely move second half. Why isn't Brereton coming on for him? Mowbray is creating a right mess of his own making
-
Smacked of a performance where the players feel the season is over. The way things are though, would ye rule out getting dragged right down? We probably have enough points on the board, but it is worrying. I said a few weeks ago that this team strikes me as a bunch of mates on holidays. Too much messing on social media, not enough fight. Mulgrew isn't a good enough defender for this level. Harsh, but that's the reality. Take his set pieces out and there are too many mistakes. Reed was non existant today. What has happened him the past few weeks Armstrong back to his predictable worse Dack looked hungover. He must have had a big fry before today's game The players look like they are on holidays already. Bad form from a bunch who the manager has shown enormous loyalty to. At the end of the day the buck stops with Mowbray and the January transfer window and subsequent games have been quite simply putrid. Not acceptable in any way.
-
Clearly we shouldnt have let Downing go. Mulgrew looks better with him. It's weird. Mulgrew and Downing looked good together as did Lenihan and Rodwell. Lenihan and Mulgrew don't convince me and Mulgrew and Rodwell is not going to work.
-
I would be angry that there is only 3 minutes added if I thought we had a chance of scoring. As it stands we wouldn't score in another 90

We will see see time hun
