  2. http://www.roverstrust.com/2017/05/10/enough-is-enough/ The Trust certainly seem more willing to engage with supporters which is good to see. I agree with this:- 5/ Keep supporting the team. This is when our loyalty as fans is sorely tested.

  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39824468 Here's the link to the Football Focus feature. Well worth a watch.
  6. Saw the Football Focus feature. Is John Murray on here? Well done on getting the message across. I thought you struck a fair balance and tried to be constructive in your anti-Venky's message, and also laid out the fans fears for the future re Administartion etc. One small criticism if I may Not sure of the value of telling folk 'we're the most successful town club in the country'. It sounds a bit entitled to me and dilutes the real message, but I might be wrong and some context may have been lost in the editing. Surely the message is simply 'Venky's Out, they've destroyed a community club'. Genuine thanks for all your efforts, you came across very well.
  7. Coconut Grove, Toffs, a 'smoke' in the Cathedral grounds, then bouncing into C'est La Vie feeling like king of the world! Hazy, crazy, daze They always seemed to be playing Sympathy for the Devil. Think I saw the New Fads at International 2 round the same time,1990-ish.
  8. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/may/05/inspiral-carpets-drummer-craig-gill-inquest-tinnitus Really sad that he suffered so much. Used to love the Inspirals. 'Joe' and 'Move' were big faves at the indie disco
  9. “So she took great interest in my feedback that, in the absence of a CEO, COO or Managing Director; the continued absence of the owners’ direct representative in the UK (and uncertainty as to his name and employment status) and the refusal of the owners themselves to engage with the process then the aims of her reform were not being met.” Let's hope her 'interest' translates into something tangible that she can do. Well done and thanks for keeping these issues alive.
  10. For whatever reason Mowbray has decided that keeping 'it tight and try and nick a goal' is our best chance of winning games. Probably because the team is slow and unfit on the whole. Championship teams are normally the opposite. Brentford play good football, are under no pressure and are good at home. If we go there to attack and outplay them there's a good chance the game will be over after half an hour. If they get a couple early on it will become an end of season carnival @#/?-take. The longer we keep it at 0-0 the more not arsed Brentford and the crowd will become. I'd imagine the plan, like the Villa match, is to kill the game first half and then apply some pressure in the 2nd when we've bored them into submission It's obviously a gamble playing this way when we need to win but I don't see he has a choice with the players he's got and the fact we are away from home against a side that have hammered better teams than us. Anyway, have a good day out and hopefully there'll be load of Rovers players jumping into the crowd at the end of the game in celebration, just like Duffy when he scored there for us.
  11. Huddersfield's flagrant disregard for the rules may cost us our Championship status, our Academy status, our manager, our better players and millions and millions of extra £ debt. It may send us into administration or even liquidation. Whatever happens League 1 will have serious ramifications for this football club. It may even hasten Venky's departure. On the other hand it will cost Huddersfield about £50k in fines. Big Club to go down and Huddersfield to stay down will be a perfect end to a dreadful season.
  12. Huddersfield were thrashed by Bristol City 4-0 in March. Their manager didn't make 10 changes after that game. They lost to Burton next game. No 10 changes after that. There are no excuses.
  13. ...which is irrelevant to the fact that Huddersfield purposefully fielded a 2nd string and if they hadn't Rovers would possibly be above a Brum in freefall and on the verge of securing our Championship status. We'll never know because Huddersfield broke the rules. It's also irrelevant why Huddersfield did it.
  14. Exactly. I'm amazed our fans are trying to justify it.

  16. I think some are missing the point that they shouldn't have done it in the first place, rather than whatever happens to them now won't affect us.
  17. Even though there is a specific rule against fielding a weakened team in the EFL, so what? Get over it. We shouldn't have lost loads of other games. To try and make up for it Rovers are going to field a selection of Barca and Real Madrid players against Brentford. There is a rule against it but sod it, Forest shouldn't have lost to somebody else sometime in November. It's their own fault if Messi bags a brace and Ronaldo gets four.
