  2. Exactly, Top scorer in a team that creates very little from open play. Graham has been superb for Rovers over the last two seasons. Only an idiot would think otherwise.
  3. Nonsense. Bowyer not only stopped us getting relegated (something Mowbray failed to do) but he also finished in the top 10 twice after building his own team on a lot less than Mowbray spunked on BB.
  4. Chaddy said something similar. He's been our top scorer ever since.
  5. That little outburst has nothing to do with the post you responded to.
  6. Mowbray said the same last summer. In early August he'll be saying he wants a few more, on the day after Transfer Deadline day he'll say he's happy with the squad and then after a couple months of hammerings he'll say he knows where the problems are and he'll address them in January.
  7. Hardly a ringing endorsement. And nobody has said we should be in the top 6. Classic straw man.
  8. Yes, it was agreed by a tribunal iirc. No idea how much.
  9. You've lost me. Your only objection to Mowbray being the manager is if he doesn't pick a decent midfielder every week, and therefore doesn't manage to sign him permanently?
  10. Your logic indicates you want him to stay not go.
  11. The same Reedy who can't even get in the team?
  12. I'd say give him the summer if I thought he had a clue how to sort the defence out, or if he'll be able to recruit the right players in the summer to do so. I don't on either count so I'd be looking for a new manager now before Mowbray wastes any more money on out-of-position duds. And to be fair the football at Ewood is dull, cautious hoofball - so much for 'evolving' our style of play. I also think without the promotion 'bounce' next season is going to be a lot more difficult than this. We've been sussed as a team. A manager who has to continually change his tactics after 15-20 mins because he gets it wrong from the start is probably not up to the job. However, I would be amazed if he gets sacked even if we lose every match to the end of the season. He'll get the summer, sadly.
  13. Indeed. Millwall were 8th last season in their 1st season back after promotion (72 points). They are dogshit this season. We've just got promoted but our 'bounce' only lasted half a season whereas they kept it going for a full season.
  14. The tools he's been given? Like a £7m 19 year old who can't get in the team when he should have bought one, probably 2 CB's with that money and had change left over (including flex). Poor management.
  15. You're missing the point. Sharpe is implying we didn't push hard enough and if we had we might have got him. Sharpe would know that more than you or I. Sharpe is rarely critical, that is him being critical. No-one on here (or Sharpe) is saying we would have got him. What Sharpe is saying is we didn't really try. Read in to that what you want.
  16. I thought if you were arguing the point you might have something to back it up with. Of course nobody knows what will happen but thees nothing to suggest Rotherham will win four games. Bolton winning at QPR is hardly earth shattering. They are both bad teams.
  17. Stoke and Swansea as it stands. Even then there's no guarantees Rotherham are capable of beating them. If you think Rotherham are going to win 4 then fair enough. I'd say theres no chance. They are probably worse than us and conceded 6 yesterday. Which 4 will they win?
  18. Rotherham's remaining fixtures. They'd need to win 4 to go above us even if we don't win another point all season. Not happening. Sat 6th Apr H Nottingham Forest Championship 3pm Wed 10th Apr H Aston Villa Championship 7.45pm Sat 13th Apr A Stoke City Championship 3pm Fri 19th Apr A Swansea City Championship 3pm Mon 22nd Apr H Birmingham City Championship 3pm Sat 27th Apr A West Bromwich Albion Championship 3pm Sun 5th May H Middlesbrough Championship 12.30pm
  19. -1 as we were only ever going to draw the game without his goal edit - you've done the same with WBA and Brum games.
  20. To play Rothwell you'd either have to drop Dack or play two Number 10's. One of the many reasons our defence is so appalling is that the full-backs get so little cover and are constantly exposed - the brave new world of 4-2-3-1. Rothwell wouldn't help with that because he's not a winger/wide midfielder with a great footballing brain. Conway in his pomp was the perfect WM/winger because he could create and help the full-back. After hating it for so long I'd probably go with 3 at the back. With quick mobile defenders who know how to defend (NOT Rodwell, Williams, Mulgrew) 3 at the back can work just not with the players we've got. Then you could play Rothwell just behind the striker alongside Dack. Mowbray needs to start playing to players strengths instead of buying players and playing them out of position.
  21. If it was Mulgrew I'm not surprised he smiled wryly. Anyway, who was it? Conway or Bennett. I know I'm right. ?
  22. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17539748.match-verdict-as-rovers-beaten-at-aston-villa/?action=success#comments-feedback-anchor "And the performance of the dynamic John McGinn just shows what an oversight it was for Rovers not to push harder for his services when he was available last summer". Interesting line from Sharpe. It's not like we didn't have the money, it was obviously a football decision by Mowbray not to pursue him. He obviously didn't want to upset 'the lads' already at the club.
  23. £1.5m for an apparently quality manager who could get them up to a division worth £150m. Absolute bargain....especially when you consider the money we've wasted.
  24. I think his recruitment is shit so I wouldn't give him the summer. That's my perspective.
