  1. I just hope all these upcoming games on Sky aren't going to be the kiss of death. We're notoriously crap as soon as the Sky cameras roll into town!
  2. I wondered why we hadn't heard from Tony all game! 😅
  3. Phew! Just need Luton to hold out for another 3 mins now!
  4. Wow, that's no age at all. I think Tom & Glen's posts nicely sum up his time here. RIP Shebby.
  5. Sharpe is reporting it but looks like it's just from the same source rather than insider knowledge. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19832373.blackburn-rovers-linked-hertha-berlins-deyovaisio-zeefuik/
  6. Sorry @J*B, but just to clarify, if I click back to the home page from time to time, it helps the site? Absolutely no problem in doing so btw.
  7. Thanks Gumboots. Just tried the press & hold thing & they all come up. You learn something new every day!
  8. Not strictly match related, but who the hell is the new 'stadium announcer' at Ewood for the last couple of games? He can't get half the players names right, shouts at a ridiculous volume down the mic & even called bellendinho "Mr Stroud" ! It's like a combination between that guy from X-Factor & a boxing MC! I honestly thought he was going to say "and in the red corner" at one point. I know the normal bloke can be a bit blaze (no idea how to put an accent over the 'e') at times, but come on! Calm down a bit mate, & it's Khadra not Kadara, Joe, not John Rothwell, & we're sponsored by Macron not Maracon! That's in 2 games FFS & the bits I was actually listening to!!
  9. Agreed mate, I thought that at the time but then went into full on verbal assault mode on that absolute shiny helmet of a ref after he failed to sufficiently punish one of the worst fouls I've seen at Ewood in a while (including that from JPvH).
  10. I think we need to shut up about Buckley. Nothing to see here guys, move along please. 🤫😉
  11. He obviously couldn't stand wearing their shirts any longer & is probably paying us! 😅
  12. Phew! Haven't missed those nervy endings but hey, I said pre-match that I'd take a win of any description, even a scrappy 1-0. As it happens, it was a scruffy 2-1, but I'm certainly not complaining. Could & should've been comfortable with the amount of missed chances but it didn't cost us thankfully. DL was a collosus tonight. Bucko great also, just needs to have more confidence in front of goal. I was also thinking, can we bring back "Scotty, beam us up" for Wharton? (Those who remember Scott Sellars will know what I'm talking about) Dare I start to believe?
  13. A win of any description will do just nicely! Would love a 5-0 obviously, but will quite happily take a scrappy, hard fought 1-0. For me, the biggest thing is another clean sheet. I think I'd be happier with a 2-0 rather than, say a 4-2.
  14. IIRC the tributes are usually just a photo with the individual's name under it. I suppose the best option is to contact the club tomorrow, but I wouldn't leave it too late as they've probably prepped it already.
  15. Agreed. TM making perfect sense & in the process having a dig at the EFL & Hull. As he says, if you only need to test the day before, why would you actively look to seek out more positive tests? 🤔
  16. TBF that Hendry bloke did ok after we signed him for peanuts from Dundee
  17. Anyway, to lighten the mood slightly, I'd just like to say a big thank you to Tyrhys Dolan. My daughter got the new away shirt for Christmas with his name on the back & put a picture on Instagram, tagging him in. At around 2:30pm (about 15 mins after she posted) he replied with "Loving it! ❤️ ". The smile on her face as she read it was incredible. All credit to you young man for taking the time on Christmas day to reply to a fan & in the process making her day. Well done & thank you! 👏👏
  18. Well that was fun!! Horrendous driving conditions going over the tops on the 62, starts to clear a bit around Leeds & my daughter informs me of the latest tweet from Rovers! You absolute fecking ham shankers! Off at the next junction & back home again! I'm absolutely livid, can only imagine how the fans who were already there feel. Will we be compensated? Will we shite! It's a disgrace. As others have said, I'm not exactly convinced by the results of the LFTs coming out of Hull. Nowt to stop the same bloke taking 10 tests to make sure it's called off if you're without a couple of key players. Fuming!
  19. Butties - check Bottles of drink - check Tickets - check Wallet - check Phone - check Keys - check Right, off we go!! COYB
  20. Tickets arrived in the post this afternoon, can't wait now. Rovers, please don't let me down! For those asking about the TV coverage, it looks like it's also on Sky Showcase (Formerly Sky One), so if you have a subscription for this but not the sports channels it looks like you may be ok. https://www.live-footballontv.com/#2021Dec26
  21. Agreed, particularly given the historical significance of whaling in Hull. Anyway, back to the game itself, back at the beginning of the season my daughter asked if we could do an away game this season, but she specifically stated a 'proper' away game, ie not Preston, Blackpool etc. With this in mind, I earmarked this game as I know the trip over to Hull very well having recently had a project over there. Little did I know where we'd be in the league & how our form was going into it. Booked the tickets at the weekend (£21 for adults & £10.50 for young adult so they do offer some concessions for those asking) & can't wait. It's a long time since I've been really buzzing about anything Rovers, but I genuinely am. Even them now putting us on Sky hasn't dampened that, although it would've also been nice to watch it in the pub with my Dad, I just hope our Sky curse doesn't come home to roost again. 0-2 BBD & Nyambe 😅 (No seriously, Khadra) COYB
  22. It's the usual case of leaving things too long & they eventually end up costing you more as things mount up. Not major issues but, as another example, the push taps in the BBE toilets (Riverside End) haven't worked properly for years, you have to hold them down with one hand whilst washing the other. These will probably just need a new washer or something but are only about £10-15 each for new ones if they need replacing. In addition to this, one hand dryer only blows cold & the other has a broken 'flap' on it. Again, these are just more examples of things being left and left. Eventually, all these little jobs start to add up to a lot. I take it SW has never heard of PPM ( That's Planned Preventative Maintenance Steve!)
  23. Unfortunately we're no longer in the days of a 10p mix, or even 20p mix for the rich bastards! 😂 I actually count myself as lucky these days. My youngest is 16 & just wants Rovers training gear, shirts, phone cases etc. Younger than than they want a blue & white halved racing car driven by Lewis Hamilton. If it works then fair play, revenue will be up, but we need bums on seats. BBD doesn't give a shit if you've got a name on a shirt, or his name on the side of a racing car. Diaz, Diaz, Diaz is what matters!
