  1. Didn't the otherwise dreadful Walton save one? Away at Hull iirc or have I dreamt that? Edit:Nope, the grey matter is still ok, good save too from Bowen https://m.facebook.com/1Rovers/videos/walton-penalty-save-vs-hull/392534947978279/
  2. God knows! Just checked on their website & yeah, it's true, although it does say on an interim basis. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2022/february/19/club-statement---royals-part-company-with-veljko-paunovi--by-mutual-consent/
  3. Well, football never ceases to amaze me. Just heard on the radio (Lancs) that Reading have sacked their manager despite winning at Dumpdale today. His replacement?............. Wait for it..... ..........Paul Ince!!! I kid you not! ๐Ÿ˜†. That's them completely fucked! Edit: Trust Chaddy to just pip me to the Reading news. Missed the Ince bit though! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Well that was fun! I've literally just driven to Blackburn for a burger! Had just arrived at the ground when they called it. Felt really sorry for the guy who was stood near me when we found out, he'd driven up from Telford to take his 2 young daughters to their first game at Ewood. They obviously couldn't understand why they'd got here and now couldn't watch any football. It was heartbreaking looking at their little faces!
  5. I'm in Clayton-le-Woods & it's stopped here now, just a bit of light rain.
  6. I was half tempted to give JRC an extra point for clearly calling one of their players a "f*cking knobhead" last night. You definitely didn't need to be an expert lip reader to make that one out. It really made me chuckle at the time. Anyway, although Nyambe got the Sky vote & played very well, Wharton gets my vote for MotM.
  7. Interesting, when he asked about upper or lower tier, you obviously stated that it could be either. He's posted an edit that say's they're in the Upper tier. Haven't all away fans been in the lower tier this season? I can't think of any that have been shoved upstairs. Personally, I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference to the players, but I always think it generates a better atmosphere when they're in the lower tier.
  8. So the "don't go to bed yet" shit was just the announcement of Giles then? Ok, well guess what folks? I'm off to bed. Disappointed as usual on TDD but hey, it is what it is. Good night all.
  9. He'd certainly be no worse than Butterworth has been the last couple of games. & yes I think he's gone to Sunderland
  10. Sorry, don't usually do screenshots, but this reply really made me laugh! ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. Would be great but knowing us we'd end up with his dad! Let's hope he can still take a throw in! ๐Ÿ˜…
  12. You're obviously from the same neck of the woods as me then. It's Astley Park as u well know & those pitches were like a ploughed field. We used to have a our 'matches ' just behind there between the pitches & the duck pond.
  13. Could do with Barnsley grabbing one
  14. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  15. FFS we literally have no fit attacking players! Just hope Ben comes back unscathed.
  16. Not sure tbh. Possibly, might be just the fact it's highlighted more of late
  17. Medical emergency in crowd at Fulham, players going off. This seems to be happening quite a bit recently.
  18. QPR winning as well. Come on Rovers!
  19. I said exactly the same thing to my daughter at the time. I just knew someone would end up pulling up with an injury.
  20. I hope that should read Wharton & not Whalton? He was shite in goal never mind at centre back! ๐Ÿ˜†
  21. Referee is James Linington, can't say I know much about him, maybe @arbitro might know more. https://www.efl.com/news/2022/january/referee-appointments-28-january-2-february/ Looks like it's the first time we'll have had him this season https://www.football-lineups.com/referee/1112/ Come on Rovers, we owe this lot a beating on their own patch. Not bothered about the score, just make sure we get the 3 points.
  22. That was a bit of an odd one at the weekend, the on-field ref (Kevin Friend) clearly got the decision correct in the first instance - no pen. Inexplicably, the VAR (Craig Pawson) then asks him to go & have another look. He goes over to have a butchers & I actually suspect he still thought his original decision was correct, however, because he's been asked to go and have another look he's on a hiding to nothing as someone else is essentially telling him he's got it wrong. I'd have absolutely loved it if he (Friend) had a look on the monitor & said "nope, I'm still right. no pen". Unfortunately I just can't see any ref having the stones to do that. Once the first one does, I think we might see a few more stick by their original decision, but I'll not hold my breath.
