  1. Lenihan for me, a true captain's performance as has been most games recently. I thought Buckley was nailed on for MoM at HT, but his impact was stifled in the second half so big Darragh for me. To be fair there were 3 or 4 genuine contenders last night in what was a superb team effort.
  2. Glad he's doing ok mate. Hope to you both back at Ewood very soon.
  3. I do get the Pickering love in as he's crucial to the way we play atm, but England? Really! Calm down lads, I really hope someone comes back & quotes me on this btw. Wharton on the other hand?, hmm, I actually think that lad can seriously go all the way, hopefully with us obviously!
  4. Couldn't be arsed posting when I got back last night mainly thanks to the numbties who shut the A63 on a night when a couple of thousand people needed to use it on their way back to Lancs. I bet the people living in their sleepy little villages on the diversion route were made up!! Also, a special mention to the bellend who smashed up his seat and threw it, narrowly missing the guy next to me - this is your own fans, dickhead!! Can't really add much more to what's already been said. Gally crap, JRC crap. Should've been Davenport for Travis, Zeefuik for Nyambe (he can't have been any worse or less fit than JRC) And then same formation as usual. We got bullied last night in midfield & by Eaves. Lenihan on the right wing at the end! WTF? I'm not even gonna get started on the Ref. Even at the opposite end of the ground it looked a clear pen & foul on Kaminski. Watching it back on TV I can't believe he's not given either of them. Anyway, let's hope it's a blip & not the start of Tony's messing about and resulting g death spiral.
  5. To be honest, I think I'd actually prefer him to Pears! Granted, it's a bit like a 'Tallest Dwarf' competition.
  6. I make it 15 (in 291 appearances!) according to Wiki but the point still stands. For comparison Dacky has 27 in 80 appearances. (Championship figures only)
  7. 😅. Probably, but you only have to type his name & Blackburn Rovers into Google to find a few more.
  8. There's been few including in the LT. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19843449.blackburn-rovers-one-host-clubs-keen-mk-dons-matt-oriley/
  9. He might be, but, unless I've completely got the wrong of the stick, we're talking about Matt O'Riley from MK Dons.
  10. I just hope all these upcoming games on Sky aren't going to be the kiss of death. We're notoriously crap as soon as the Sky cameras roll into town!
  11. Wow, that's no age at all. I think Tom & Glen's posts nicely sum up his time here. RIP Shebby.
  12. Sharpe is reporting it but looks like it's just from the same source rather than insider knowledge. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19832373.blackburn-rovers-linked-hertha-berlins-deyovaisio-zeefuik/
  13. Sorry @J*B, but just to clarify, if I click back to the home page from time to time, it helps the site? Absolutely no problem in doing so btw.
  14. Thanks Gumboots. Just tried the press & hold thing & they all come up. You learn something new every day!
  15. Not strictly match related, but who the hell is the new 'stadium announcer' at Ewood for the last couple of games? He can't get half the players names right, shouts at a ridiculous volume down the mic & even called bellendinho "Mr Stroud" ! It's like a combination between that guy from X-Factor & a boxing MC! I honestly thought he was going to say "and in the red corner" at one point. I know the normal bloke can be a bit blaze (no idea how to put an accent over the 'e') at times, but come on! Calm down a bit mate, & it's Khadra not Kadara, Joe, not John Rothwell, & we're sponsored by Macron not Maracon! That's in 2 games FFS & the bits I was actually listening to!!
  16. Agreed mate, I thought that at the time but then went into full on verbal assault mode on that absolute shiny helmet of a ref after he failed to sufficiently punish one of the worst fouls I've seen at Ewood in a while (including that from JPvH).
  17. I think we need to shut up about Buckley. Nothing to see here guys, move along please. 🤫😉
  18. He obviously couldn't stand wearing their shirts any longer & is probably paying us! 😅
  19. Phew! Haven't missed those nervy endings but hey, I said pre-match that I'd take a win of any description, even a scrappy 1-0. As it happens, it was a scruffy 2-1, but I'm certainly not complaining. Could & should've been comfortable with the amount of missed chances but it didn't cost us thankfully. DL was a collosus tonight. Bucko great also, just needs to have more confidence in front of goal. I was also thinking, can we bring back "Scotty, beam us up" for Wharton? (Those who remember Scott Sellars will know what I'm talking about) Dare I start to believe?
  20. A win of any description will do just nicely! Would love a 5-0 obviously, but will quite happily take a scrappy, hard fought 1-0. For me, the biggest thing is another clean sheet. I think I'd be happier with a 2-0 rather than, say a 4-2.
  21. IIRC the tributes are usually just a photo with the individual's name under it. I suppose the best option is to contact the club tomorrow, but I wouldn't leave it too late as they've probably prepped it already.
  22. Agreed. TM making perfect sense & in the process having a dig at the EFL & Hull. As he says, if you only need to test the day before, why would you actively look to seek out more positive tests? 🤔
