  1. @JoeH you posted in another topic than Ben's 1v1 against Swansea had an xG of 0.21 which seems quite low to me. Is this low as it takes onto account when & where he picked the ball up? If it does, that would make more sense to me as he had a lot of work to do to get into that 1v1 situation. Also interesting that both goals on Sunday were scored from outside the box with both players 'weaker foot' which would obviously result in quite a low xG.
  2. One of my favourite quiz questions that one. However it won't be valid for long once Everton move to their new ground which is literally right next to the Mersey.
  3. RIP Lenny. Remember him breaking through at Rovers & really liked him as a player. Never met him, but seems like he was a lovely fella. Hopefully his Charity work for MND will continue in his memory to help other sufferers. Thoughts & prayers with his family.
  4. Pretty similar - at my Sister's in Biggleswade on way back from London. Going out for an Italian with them tonight then heading back North tomorrow. Think a few Peronis are in order!
  5. WTF!!?? Not at the game today, in London, is it anywhere near justified?
  6. There'll definitely by 2 less from the QPR game as we'll miss this one due to being down in that there London. Hopefully the great form continues & I'll be ruing my Missus booking Coldplay tickets at Wembley. COYB
  7. Tbf, that's not a bad compliment saying it's a sideways move for him to move from Liverpool to us! 🤣 Let's get it done just to piss them off even more.
  8. I'm with Tom on this with a realistic evaluation, however. Low fee, big sell on, or higher fee, lower sell on? I'd happily us pay £6-7m provided it came with a lower sell on clause.
  9. Just watching motd & seen JPvH reaction to brighton's goal - nowt like the passion he showed here! Come home mate, u know it makes sense!
  10. Oh yeah, but all is forgiven if he's slagging that lot off in public! 🤣
  11. I work in Liverpool &, as I did with both HE & LC have had multiple conversations with many a red over the last few days &, FWIW, I'm getting more Harvey than Leighton. Don't get me wrong, they're not buzzing about it like with Harvey (they seriously watched how he was doing for us), but also thought we were "paying back a favour" with LC. From what I can gather, he's a good player, loads of potential, & is likely to be a good addition. They're not buzzing like with Harvey, but are likely to be keeping an eye on how he does with us.
  12. Gotta say, I loved hearing Dean Henderson slagging Utd off today. Something tells me he's trying to get a permanent move out of there. You don't usually come out with stuff like that about your parent club whilst only out on loan.
  13. One thing I did notice about the OP - he titled the thread "Thank You Rovers", not "Thank You Blackburn". Good lad! 👍 We are the one & only Rovers. You're welcome at Ewood anytime mate!
  14. To be fair, it displays fine on my PC screen but when I look at it on my phone, it does appear that TK's gone walkabout!
  15. Anyone who's only read the last couple of pages must wonder what the hell is going on! 🤣
  16. As my daughter plays, I'm a big advocate for Ladies/Girls football so literally spent all yesterday afternoon watching Women's football with her having their first pre-season friendly. She plays for Lostock Hall St Gerard's Ladies. The club has being going since 1947 but this year have formed their first ever Ladies team. If there's any of you know someone in the surrounding areas (or further afield if you want to travel) who fancies getting involved, either get in touch with them, or PM me & I'll put you in contact with the right people. There's some really good pictures from yesterday linked on their FB page - ok the result wasn't the best, but most of these girls have only know each other for a few weeks (a few used to play together at Euxton Girls) https://www.facebook.com/LSGFC/ I'm sure she won't mind me putting a pic of of her celebrating a goal after playing a perfect through ball for the assist!
  17. Do you know what? I've a good mind to tweet Alex Scott about that , just to get her opinion, now that people actually care about women's football - it's obviously as corrupt as the men's , only cheaper! (PS I'll have to sign up for Twitter first, does anyone know how that shit works? 😆)
  18. Agree, but how about some acknowledgement about how we were stiched up when ManUre decided to start a women's team!? Not gonna happen. Those girls should still be wearing blue & white halves! Still proud though - lovely to hear a "common as muck" interview from Ella. #oneofourown. We know what we are & we're proud of it!
  19. Hmm, beg to differ. TK tipped that shot in the first half onto the bar but we got a goal kick. Tommy nearly celebrated til he realised the ref hadn't seen it. JDT even said as muck in his interview on radio Lancs. I even shouted, "great save tommy" & he looked my way & laughed in knowing way!
  20. ...... which more or less coincides with: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11676/11176653/steve-waggott-named-blackburn-chief-executive
  21. I've really enjoyed watching it tbf. It was funny watching it in the pub last night. A few moans & groans about women's football early on then by the end, the same blokes cheering the team on & getting into it. Just seen that Russo goal again, absolute filth! 😆 The discussion on Goalkeeping is interesting as I've been saying it for a while. They don't seem to have the spring or anticipation the same as their male counterparts. The latter can be coached, however I wonder if the former is purely biology, I don't know, I could be wrong. My daughter's team had a really good keeper last year who has been snapped up by Chorley. I can see her going on to bigger things & ending up at much bigger club - Molly Finch, you heard it here first! 😉 This season, my daughter has moved teams to a bigger club who have just set up their first womens team. Funnily enough, the hardest position they found to fill was goalkeeper, so maybe there's not the same interest in the position, hence the lack of quality. Everyone wants to be the goal scoring hero.
