  1. Is Raya still not fit from injury at end of last season?
  2. And wasn't it Blackpool we got him from?
  3. All done. Renewed yesterday. Wasn't letting the chicken chokers have my money any sooner than necessary.
  4. ??. Yeah. Should've read it back first before submitting!
  5. Not sure What's happened to the pre season friendlies thread but anyway, rivers have an ounce that we're going to be playing the other half of Merseyside on 26 July https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/june/home-friendly-announced/
  6. "Ceramic?" Who makes these names up?! It's effing turquoise!
  7. Great news. Love DG & as others have said, him & Dack play off each other so well it would've been criminal to allow him to leave. Interesting tweet from Bennet. Wouldn't be too upset to see either of those back at Ewood. Just hope Chapman can return from his injury & return to the form he showed before it. Come on Tony, u know it makes sense!
  8. TBH I was exactly the same as you. I had no idea there was actually a tune to it until Butty's post. I think the issue, as with most songs at Ewood these days, is that there seems to be a race to get to the end of the song. Every song is sung at breakneck speed for some reason (I have an idea why) so no-one has a chance of picking up either the words or the tune. I bet half the players don't even know they have a song! Anyway, I think I've sussed it and, if sung with some sort of tune and at 45 not 78 (showing my age there), it's actually not too bad. Listen to the tune from about 1.04 in and the words do actually fit!
  9. Glad someone posted this, I just couldn't that middle line about loans. Thanks guys. Slightly unrelated, although TM related, I came across this tweet from him (well, not really him but anyway! - be great of it was), whilst searching to see if anyone had uploaded a vid of us singing the song. It's from earlier this season. The vid is great, but reading the replies & 'Mogga's' responses are great - love the Ben Gladwin one! Apologies if it's been posted before (BTW vid won't play in IE, need to use Chrome if on a desktop) https://twitter.com/imtonymowbray/status/949333772700475392?lang=en-gb
  10. Yep, liking it. Simple, and fits with the disco theme for Richie's tune. Now who can we use for a song to a bit of Kelly Marie?.....
  11. Cheers mate. Seems to have got a lot of love on here, must be cos it's simple but a bit daft! Did think about a quick re-word but it might lose the humour: Tony Mowbray had a star eieio. That superstar his name was Brad, eieio....with a dack dack here etc Let me know what u think guys, original or 2018 remix! ?.
  12. Nice one, thanks mate.
  13. Oh way oh, we've got Richie Smallwood Oh way oh, he's the king of Ewood Oh way oh, he never gives the ball away. Whilst we're on new songs, can anybody help with the words to the Charlie Mulgrew song. Everything's sung at such breakneck speed these days it's almost impossible to pick the words up! Something about we've got Mulgrew, Charlie mulgrew, then I'm lost!
  14. I'll be honest, until I saw him take his first penalty on that video, I was unsure if he was left or right footed! Not very often you see someone so comfortable with both feet these days. Welcome to Ewood Adam. Lets see a few more of those.
  15. Cheers pal. I know where he lives so I'll drop him a crate off!
  16. Couldn't tell from the highlights, but who was our guy battling like f*** in the corner to win the ball back? I need to buy him a beer! Btw, on sir Bradley of dack, looks like swapping essex girls & flat beer for Lancashire lasses & fizzy ale has dine the trick!!?
  17. Tony Mowbray had a farm eieio. And on that farm he had a Brad eieio With a Dack Dack here and a Dack Dack there, here a Dack, there Dack, Everywhere a Dack Dack............ Yeah, I'll get my coat!
  18. Great news. Thought he was excellent at the end of last season. Watching the 'strikers' take shooting practice before each game he was a class above everyone else. Much needed. Welcome (back) to Ewood Danny!
  19. Just before my time at Rovers, I started watching a couple of years later, however, what he achieved for this club can never be erased and for that I'll always be grateful, but for that I'd have started watching Rovers in Div 3 and not Div 2. A great ambassador for football and by all accounts a bloody good bloke. Great to see some TV footage on ITV last night of him taking training with the old Riverside Stand in the background, albeit only for a few seconds. RIP Howard.
  20. I thought it was "messin' around"? Still think it could work really well though, as long as we give it "Da da da da da daaaa" for the trumpet bit.
  21. As Peter Jones said when asked "What's the fastest way to become a millionaire?" "Buy a football club when you're a billionaire" So true!
  22. Don't know if this was in response to my post on Pg1 or not but yeah, I like that.
  23. My personal favourite at the moment, really made me laugh when I first heard it. Can't recall the Scott Dann one though unless is the same but "He can't f*ckin head". Think we missed a trick with JR though, not using Country Roads, something along the lines of: Jordan Rhodes, takes us home To the place, where we belong Premier League, for Jack Walker Take us home, Jordan Rhodes I always liked the Damien Duff "All you need is Duff, da da da da da" Think we need to get a bit more creative. I think the loss of terracing is largely responsible for that, as in the 'olden days' it was always the same groups, stood in the same place in the BBE who used to get things going, ably assisted by a few shandies before the game! Things were more spontaneous. I rember John Fashanu coming to Ewood shortly after Justin came out of the closet to a rapturous chorus of "Does your brother s%^g your ar$e". Not very PC and in keeping with all the respect campaigns etc, but spontaneous & (at the time) very funny. I think we should use this section for a few ideas (keeping them a bit cleaner & PC than the example above though obviously). If he keeps up the performances of the last 2 games, I think Josh King would probably be deserving of one. Haven't got a clue what at the moment though. Anyone?
  24. That was the main one for me - that would've made it 4-0 iirc so they most likely wouldn't have pulled their goal back. It was the miss which gave them a lift. 2nd leg is without doubt my worst ever moment following Rovers. (footballing wise)
