Are Rovers a 'soft' team?
windymiller7 replied to jim mk2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That's what she said! ๐ -
Apologies btw, am in the pub! X Yes the 'x' was deliberate cos I love u all. Xxxxxxxxxx
-
Ffs mate, Me & u need to start a places in chorley old school thread! Starting with the old bus station & the gas showroom! ๐

Ah yeah! Remember that! Hmm, now where was it? I'm thinking the old "stolen from ivor" unit. But I couldbe wrong.
-
No, can't say that I do. Where was it & what type of shop was it?

I noticed QPR's aren't much better either. Quite dark & the uniformity is terrible!

JPvH is absolute class. If we could get him on a perm that would be one serious bit of business. Sadly, I think our only chance of that would be if we go up. I love his enthusiasm & fight, he really does seem to be enjoying his time here. It wouldn't surprise me to see him lining up alongside Van Dyke for the Dutch national side in the not too distant future. -
Absolute disgrace that last night. I'm still mad now! As the pundits & commentators said, there really does need to be an inquiry as to how they came to that decision.

Similar kind of thing, me & 3 of my mates used to regularly go on a nearby school field at any opportunity. We were all right footed but used to play a game where u weren't allowed to score with your right foot (taking it in turns to go in goal when someone did score). My left foot is nowhere near as good as my right but it's not bad. On a side note, one of my mates once scored a pearler of a volley with his left foot in one such game & never shut up about it. So much so that I even mentioned it in my best man's speech at his wedding! ๐ -

Ok, I've been in the pub, but bear with me...... Dolan for me has to start. Yes, he's raw, but he's an absolute PITA for defenders Start with gally (yeah, I'm not his biggest fan either) but as a true centre forward. If it's not going our way, bring Vale on as something different . Buckley needs a rest but will obviously start with JR out. Drop him little bit deeper with Trav. Dack on the bench as a morale boost! -
Got recommended to me by a couple of friends a few days ago, thought I'd watch one last night & see if it was any good. Anyway, 2am & 5 episodes later............. Had to stop myself from just continuing to the end. As to locations, yeah there's Blackpool, Runcorn, Manchester to name a few, but even closer to home: https://www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/james-nesbitt-spotted-chorley-filming-20252899

Watching Nobbers V Forest - Christ, it's a crap game! 0-0 at HT -
Didn't the otherwise dreadful Walton save one? Away at Hull iirc or have I dreamt that? Edit:Nope, the grey matter is still ok, good save too from Bowen https://m.facebook.com/1Rovers/videos/walton-penalty-save-vs-hull/392534947978279/

God knows! Just checked on their website & yeah, it's true, although it does say on an interim basis. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2022/february/19/club-statement---royals-part-company-with-veljko-paunovi--by-mutual-consent/ -

Well, football never ceases to amaze me. Just heard on the radio (Lancs) that Reading have sacked their manager despite winning at Dumpdale today. His replacement?............. Wait for it..... ..........Paul Ince!!! I kid you not! ๐. That's them completely fucked! Edit: Trust Chaddy to just pip me to the Reading news. Missed the Ince bit though! ๐ -

Well that was fun! I've literally just driven to Blackburn for a burger! Had just arrived at the ground when they called it. Felt really sorry for the guy who was stood near me when we found out, he'd driven up from Telford to take his 2 young daughters to their first game at Ewood. They obviously couldn't understand why they'd got here and now couldn't watch any football. It was heartbreaking looking at their little faces! -

I was half tempted to give JRC an extra point for clearly calling one of their players a "f*cking knobhead" last night. You definitely didn't need to be an expert lip reader to make that one out. It really made me chuckle at the time. Anyway, although Nyambe got the Sky vote & played very well, Wharton gets my vote for MotM. -

Interesting, when he asked about upper or lower tier, you obviously stated that it could be either. He's posted an edit that say's they're in the Upper tier. Haven't all away fans been in the lower tier this season? I can't think of any that have been shoved upstairs. Personally, I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference to the players, but I always think it generates a better atmosphere when they're in the lower tier. -

So the "don't go to bed yet" shit was just the announcement of Giles then? Ok, well guess what folks? I'm off to bed. Disappointed as usual on TDD but hey, it is what it is. Good night all. -
