Summer transfer window 2021.
windymiller7 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Omg! Seriously, can people not see it!! Raya, superb shot stopper, just needed polishing round the rough edges to get his complete game in order. Cue community centre Ben....hmm. nothing, nowt, nada! Oh sorry " saaave". 12mths later, we have an international standard goalkeeper, great shot stopper superb distribution, just needs a little polishing on his decision making. In comes our Ben, "Saaave Thomas " & fuck else. Oh, by the way Tommy, can put your boots on the wrong feet please, your kicking is far too accurate! This muppet can turn Donnarumma into a league 1 keeper in no time! Bell end!!!! Rant over! Sorry, ex gk union! -
I might be wrong, but I'm sure I've read that the Tribunal fee doesn't apply if he moves abroad. With his Chile exploits & the likes of Sevilla apparently sniffing around, this is a distinct possibility. If this is correct, it's vital to tie him into a new contract now.

You get nothing for a pair! 😉 -
Yeah, that certainly didn't make any sense: "so I get back on Friday, have to isolate in a hotel for 10 days but should be ok for the Coventry game" 😵

Is there any way to enter a negative score? I want to give a realistic rating to Poveda as all he did was help the opposition and it won't go below zero. -

@Herbie6590 Are we stuck in a Mowbrayesque timewarp? I wish we COULD play them with our squad from '92! 😄 -
I agree partially with your comment, however, given Ben's age, I still think it was foolish not to at least have given him say, a 2 year extension on similar terms. If this had happened 6 months ago he would probably have accepted and we'd have protected our asset (again, I'm using his age as a barometer as an 'asset' here rather than his performances plus the fact that we've £7m tied up in him.) Given his exploits with Chile and the start to this season, we could them have been in a good place to offer him improved terms as we would still have been holding most of the cards.

Can someone injure Poveda in training please so we can send him back. I don't think I've ever witnessed so much shite in such a short space of time on a football field. Clarkson not up to it, likewise magloire. Injuries & subs killed us here. Like others have said, why not bring on Butty & Edun? Oh yes we know why, cos we've committed to gametime for the loanees. Surely we can put a clause in these contracts which say "unless he's shite"! -

My daughter is 16 (15 last year obviously) & has been sent an email with an invite so I can vouch for the fact that that age group is included. -
Yeah just heard this on the radio. There won't be any left before long which is extremely sad. Didn't realise he was still Liverpool's leading league goalscorer, assumed Rush had overtaken him on all counts. RIP

Premier League season 21/22

The Brentford Liverpool game was a terrific watch. Especially just having been on Ewood watching us demolish Cardiff. That save Raya made from Jota in the first half was something else! -
Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Can't fault any one of our players & a BBD hat trick was the icing on the cake. My daughter was going out straight from the game so asked if I could get her mate a ticket (an Everton fan & also plays for their girls team) she'd never been to Ewood before & really enjoyed it, even joined in waving a Chile flag about. I've said she can definitely come again!! 😁

Not if we're as slow with a new deal for him as we are with every other half decent player!

Attendances: A cause for concern

Didn't realise it was 'that' Big Ste we were on about. Used to do quite a few gigs at the Red Herring years ago, real top bloke Ste. Him & Muurrry (as Ste used to pronounce Mary) used to have that place rocking. Hope he's OK. -

I never said whether we did or didn't. I just said he looks a decent player. Anyway, Chappers on now for Burton. -

Just watching the Notlob v Burton game. Quite a good watch to be fair. Gotta say I like the look of the Bolton centre half, Santos. Looks a really good player. Right age at 26 too. -
I'm not a Girls Aloud fan at all but really sad to hear about the passing of Sarah Harding from breast cancer at the tender age of 39. Particularly sad when you learn that she was diagnosed during the height of the pandemic & couldn't get access to the treatment which could've saved her life as the NHS were too busy with Covid patients. RIP

Self defeating imo. Employee gets ST For free so brings along son/daughter/auntie/uncle whoever who pay for their ticket. Each get a pie & a drink etc, money in the coffers. Now, no ST, no 'bring along' no pies, no drinks, no nothing! It's not like we need the space! Absolute helmets, the lot of em!
