  1. Center defense I think. 😉
  2. As my brother in law once called him, "Harry Maguire off Wish!" 😅
  3. Wow, that's no age at all. very sad news. RIP Alan.
  4. The problem is, I can see us getting off to a reasonable start which will have all the FB fans creaming themselves as to how they were right that we should stick with him. However, as we all know, the next death spiral won't be too far away. Unfortunately, a good start presses the reset button with so many fans that the heat is off. I hate to say it, but a poor start to the season is our best hope of getting rid now. I haven't felt like this since you know who was here. 😪
  5. We all need to get down to Ewood for the 1st home game next season (no I'm not saying buy a ST, single match ticket will do) & make it quite clear that we don't want Mowbray anywhere near the club! Other than boycotting ST sales it's about our only hope. He's so arrogant I honestly don't think he'd be able to take it.
  6. ...and on what merit? Do people sit in these meetings and just go "Oh, okay then" whenever an answer is given?
  7. Confirmed https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12040/12318199/slavisa-jokanovic-named-sheffield-united-manager-succeeding-chris-wilder-at-the-blades-helm
  8. I think that's probably a pretty accurate assessment. I hated it when some fans booed him when he came back to Ewood. I know it hurt when he left but that reception really took me by surprise. A true Rovers Legend.
  9. Is this you as a confirmed signing for next season then Joe? 😄
  10. One of my favourite ever Rovers goals that one. If I remember rightly it was on Sky on a Friday night. Not the best quality, but 5:40 - absolute genius! Enjoy!
  11. City High - What Would You Do?
  12. People who slow down to 30mph for a speed camera no matter what the speed limit of the road is!
  13. Not as hard as Hot Shot Hamish though! 😉
  14. How bad has it got that we're now discussing the merits of a 73 year old former manager who was instrumental in our relegation (along with Kidd obviously) at the time & it actually seems like a preferable alternative! 😞
  15. Mental As Anything - Live It Up
  16. Fully agree Sparks. I get the impression that Rothwell is very much a confidence player. If he has a good game, he needs to be kept in the team, not dropped the following week. If one of his runs doesn't work out, he needs a "never mind, keep going Joe!" not a bollocking for losing the ball. Defenders hate having someone run at them at that kind of pace and we have no-one else who can really do that effectively. I'm fully in the keep him club, but, as always, we need a different voice with a different mindset in the dressing room! FOM!
  17. I think after the first post we're wondering whether you're 'H' or not before committing! 😉😁
  18. That last paragraph is the bit which gets on my nerves the most. A majority of football fans are not the neanderthals like those we saw outside Old Trafford, we are regular human beings with a reasonable degree of intelligence. We are old & wise enough to know when we're being treated like idiots. I get so wound up with this I'm actually struggling to state my feelings without going into a full X-rated rant. We are not idiots, treat us like ones at your peril!
  19. ......a majority of whom were down to 10 men!! Also Tony, just remind us again that, with the pitch being such a big issue, exactly how much have you convinced the powers that be to spend on it this summer? Toss pot!
  20. I'm glad you clarified this as I immediately thought of the 'lamping' incident but then doubted myself when I read the following replies as I couldn't remember whether it was Nzonzi or Givet.
  21. I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Premier League thread or here, however I thought it was probably more applicable here. Just read Tuchel's comments from last night - oh to have a manager with an attitude like this who takes responsibility for his actions and vows to learn from them. Right down to how his mindset could've affected the players: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/12304758/thomas-tuchel-takes-blame-for-chelsea-defeat-by-arsenal-after-making-seven-changes-ahead-of-fa-cup-final
  22. I was just wondering if any thread on here had ever reached 1000 pages? If not, I have a horrible feeling that this one might be the first. 🥺
  23. Not forgetting "he's such a baby" (Bradley Dack, 8 May 2021) 😂 I proper chuckled at that one, plus "I usually have a go at him for being a bit thick" 😄
