Wow! Words fail me, seriously. If we were in any doubt about who was number 2 on the most disliked manager's list, there you have it. Even Coyle wasn't stupid enough to spout shite like that. I don't think it'll be long before he's vying for top stop with the Cumbernauld one. I appreciate that there's a few think he's there already, but not quite yet for me, although he's trying his best to get there! Go on Tony, just go, off you fuck.

xG = If my Auntie had bollocks.......... As a manger you know what players you have (or need), you know how you play and you play to these strengths. If you're a team that likes to play on the counter attack, you'll probably have a low xG, but what you do is make sure that the guy up front getting these chances is ruthless. You don't care about the expected number of goals, just that if you get a chance, or half chance, it'll end up in the back of the net. It doesn't matter whether or not it was a 'high quality' chance, or whatever bullshit phrase they use for it. All this seems to show here is that we should be scoring goals but aren't - unless I'm missing something, isn't this is bad?

Rovers v Derby - 6pm, Friday 16th

After spending 4 years at Liverpool Uni, I had mine down to a tee! There were definitely one or two occasions were it came in very handy. I remember one particular occasion down Mathew Street on a Saturday night where it definitely saved me from a good hiding. -

Rod Stewart - Hot legs -
Turning point seemed to be when he lost possession which resulted in a goal (can't remember which game - they're all blending into one boring mess!). After that he seemed to stop trying things and went down the safety first route, as per every other player Mowbray has any involvement with. Think he must've had a bollocking which had knocked his confidence. With him still only being a young lad, a manager with half a brain would've given him a shit sandwich*, but I can see Moggasaurus just going off on one. (*compliment/bollocking/compliment)

Other than the play off games, the one I always remember is Game B on here: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/10456956.match-80s-blackburn-rovers/ It was my first full season watching Rovers & I was one of the 5,837 at Ewood that day. That game cemented Simon Garner's God like status for me, as an 8 year old I thought he was the best player in the world as I walked up Livesey Branch at full time. -
😅. The Buckshaw Bernabau as it's known.

Ok, I know this is kind of football related, but it's good news (no Mowbray hasn't been sacked as far as I'm aware) so I'll put it in here. My daughter's football team played their first match after lockdown this morning & got a storming 10-1 win. It was only 2-1 at HT with both goals from Keira. Here she is making it 3-1 just after HT to score her first ever hat-trick. #prouddad!

The Relegation Thread

I noticed that. Not that I'm bothered, but it's a bit rough that. They'll have played Sat, Tues, Thurs & Sun. Can you imagine the uproar if you'd asked Klopp or Pep to do that! -
I honestly think all these players are waiting to see what happens with Mowbray et al. If you knew that you could get offers elsewhere & for more money due to a club not having to pay a fee, what possible reason is there for you to stay here under the 3 stooges? This is something which Venky's will have no idea about in relation to the manager's future. They'll be getting told by Mowbray & his cronies that Nyambe etc aren't committed & don't want to be here so will end up leaving for nowt or next to nowt. No-one is going to be telling them "look, Ryan & the Joe's won't sign whilst Mowbray's still here. The reality here is that this could cost us £10m (Conservative guess) in incoming transfers & another £10m to realistically replace them like-for-like(which wouldn't happen). That's £20m! Let that sink in"..... ""Shall I clear his desk for him?" I'm obviously hypothesising here but it wouldn't surprise me if I'm close to the truth.

Bar the odd game (mostly early on this season until we got sussed out) the football has constantly been shit under Mowbray. Today was ok, but we Looked vulnerable every time they attacked. Ok, we hit the post 3 times, but Moore also missed a sitter for them in the first half & we were lucky to have 11 men on the field imo. Plus, their keeper had a 'mare for the 1st goal. We were probably worth a point at least, but let's not get carried away Tony, that could easily have been another defeat. Mowbray out!
-
Another thing I was thinking about, is also, don't forget that prior to 1981, a win only got you 2pts so back then a draw was a much 'better' result, hence why it was changed to stop teams playing for a draw quite so much.
-
I suppose the number of points also comes into play here then. Theoretically, (as I've not looked at the results of those games) we could've got 15 points, whereas Mowbray has what, 6 is it? 7? With another 8/9 points right now we'd be safe. Has anyone looked at our worst run of points? I'm assuming that this is where the "worst run in 43 years" comes from coupled with the 1 in 14.
-
It says it all really that I don't think I've actually ever heard the the phrase "1 win in 14" used before when a football manager is being discussed! I think the worst is probably "1 win in 10/11" Unbelievable Geoff!
-
Definitely not, but I wonder if an away club would? Probably not, but you never know.

A quick google & it looks like they start at around £600+VAT https://www.airads.co.uk/Aerial-Advertising-Products/

He's pissing himself laughing at us now as he knows his mate won't sack him, Pasha is a pussy, & the local press won't push anything too hard. The only way he'd get any grief would be from us in the ground and he knows that that's not an option we have. FWIW I think he'd cave under a barrage of abuse from the fans on a matchday. I'm so angry, & feel so utterly helpless that it makes me even more angry. (I've noticed Les isn't answering his phone today btw!)
