It’s that wrong horse again in the action replay. I am beginning to wonder, if they are doing things on purpose? -

They back the wrong horse in the action replay, that’s how interested they are. -
We once drew Millwall in the FA cup probably in the 90’s and at that time, they were banned from playing FA cup matches at home. I think it was due to some previous crowd trouble. Effectively the game at Ewood was their home tie and they wore blue. We played it n our away kit. I can’t remember the color, but I think we won 1-0 and went on to play Liverpool away in the next round.

Assuming you mean Mark, he was born in 1965 so probably late 80’s.

I actually don’t think the debt is the biggest issue here, as they will never get it back. The big issue is, will they carry on with further investment? This is the bit that always puzzles me, as they must know that 10 more years doubles the debt, yet still no sign of them cutting their losses. In the words of the Grand master Flash, the longer you stay, the more you pay. Why do they do it though? -

I do wonder if the reluctance to sign anyone, until the Armstrong deal is done, is down to what happened with Dack. He was all but sold, before his first injury and the money was probably, already being counted. -

The name of the new head of recruitment seems pretty appropriate. Park everything we aren’t selling or buying anyone. -
She is expecting big things of Leeds. I heard a comment from her the other day. She had a bit of a moan, but at least, he has got it off her chest. She said the have come a long way in a few years, since the nearly went bust. Hope the players behave and don’t kick big lumps out of each other.

It can only be Newcastle’s slice putting them off. -

If the £15 Million reportedly offered is correct, it is a brave decision turning it down. -
It could be the manager and assistant manager of the ticket office. They have managed to get them to a low enough level now, to ensure one person can do the job.

Best odds on relegation are with 888 sports at 9/1. I can see that tumbling, unless Mowbray goes within the first 10 games. If it is the disaster us start, Many are predicting, then you have to hope Mowbray would walk, when the fans turn on him. i can’t see him being sacked, as the clueless owners, won’t be too bothered.

That’s obvious for anyone to see, but of course the fans matter very little in this project, so carry on regardless.

Totally crazy and once again, highlights that we will never succeed, under this ownership. -
At least the style of football, will be different.

The sad story of Keith Treacy
lraC replied to Paul Mellelieu's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was very lucky, as despite her problems, she didn't ever stop me from having as much access to the kids as I wanted. I will always be grateful for that, as your story is is not unusual. It was hard enough not being there with them every day, so I did ensure that the time we had together was very special and it has made us very close now, especially my son, who now works for my business. Both kids have been left devastated by their Mums, passing, it is still very raw a year on, but I will do my best to keep them on the straight and narrow. So sorry to hear how you missed out like you did and hope your relationship with you two sons, continues to prosper. -

Wow, I am in tears reading that. I can honestly say, my children (now aged 31 & 28) could so easily have ended up like that. Once I split with their Mum, I made absolutely sure I had regular contact with them and at times, almost had joint custody. To be fair, my second wife has been so fantastic and took them both under her wing and also their Mothers second husband, have both been great step parents and I have a lot to thank them both of them for. A lot of what was going on, was hidden from me, after we split, but the things I did see and hear of helped me to protect them as much as I could and both of my kids have grown into wonderful people, so far producing a wonderful Grandson too, who is of course a Rovers fan. -

In the case of my ex-wife, it was a combination of wine and spirit. I had split up with her around 18 years before she died and although she had a drink problem, when I was with her, it got far worse after. Her second husband had it a lot worse than me and from speaking to him and my children after her passing, she would take spirits to work, in water bottles and sometimes go off drinking, instead of actual turning in for work. She had several attempts at rehab and lots of counselling and loads of support from my children, all to no avail. Seeing something like this with Treacy, shows how dangerous this addiction is and I still find it hard to believe how many lives it wrecks. -

Sad to hear about your brother too. I don’t think some people understand how rife it is. Kids are grown up and have got on with their lives, but I know they are devastated. -

How very sad. I saw alcoholism, at very close quarters, as my Ex- wife and mother to my two children, went from a caring mother, professional in the legal professional and dearly loved wife, to dead at 52. She passed just over a year ago and I don't think my children will ever get over what they saw. It is a horrible illness.- 47 replies
