TM's tactics and our current form are putting off massively a return to Ewood. That is just me, home form is hardly outstanding, to lose to local rivals below us in the League, 7-2 in two games, well? Speaks for itself.

A message from Mr Mowbray

I still think he should have been big enough to accept he should shoulder some of the responsibility for having to make this statement in the first place. -

Very disappointed by the Ladies shipping two goals today.........although TM should be looking at their strikers...........after yesterday. -
I agree that the Riverside needs flattening and something more modern and user friendly replacing it, a hotel would allow for viewing pitch side, a la Lancashire CCC and would finish off Jack's vision. Can't see it happening without large outside investment, as the Loons would have no appetite to fund it.

FOOLS and their money.......... -
I am with you on the point, yet "in the good old days", if the pies ran out, they did! So what, we are there for the game? Is Waggott working for our pie suppliers? Agree, bums on seats!!

In the words of John McEnroe, "Are you being serious"! What feckin bargain.....to uphold Jack's legacy? To keep his baby? To take us to the CL title? Keep us in the PL? I don't get your point. Again, I have supported our club for forty years. I am not impressed by their treatment of me and many others (Gumboots), I very rarely disagree with an opinion, but you have made me.

Christmas is an ideal time to fill the ground in advance. Family know who are coming home. As a fan who has lost the urge, because of reasons already mentioned, I am looking to treat my son to this game. Make it worthwhile and get 25,000 in. Waggott over to you.

Excellent result. We never seem to turn the tables. Great revenge for WC semi!

Dier should not be on the pitch.

It comes back down to the "owners" I'm afraid. I fully accept the majority of ST holder's of this season would buy ST's next year if we nosedived down the league and suffered further relegation. We do have a "mean" figure, call it 8.000-12,000 in the Championship/Division 1. As a grown up professional, I feel the club are taking the piss. They are losing rupees hand over fist. They still are on these prices. If, as some say, we need to have 20,000 every home game to break even, the club is a million miles away (or 6,000 home fans?). So why is Waggott so good? We have stability. I hate that word in our situation. We are only as stable as TM's tenure. But even then his tenure is only as sound as the Pune three decree. I'm still very dubious as to our future. They do nothing to encourage my permanent return. Neither does Waggott.

My gripe is being turfed out of the BE upper without consultation, not wanting to sit in the new family stand as I don't like the position, ditto Riverside, and the JW is too expensive in this league. I will pick and choose the odd game as a result. Waggott has missed tricks. Big time. BTW, I have never been courted by the club, despite being a supporter for forty years plus, and they have my text/email/mobile number.

Well with a devalued International weekend ahead, and the good news that we sell out our full allocation at our noisy neighbours, time to look at the match in prospect. When I did the Villa preview, I had a Villa acquaintance, but in this case I have never befriended a Nob Ender. Too cocky and lack sensible conversation. So my facts are mainly based on books (banned in the city), the internet (most are on SHPO's not to access the www), and personal observations. Again, both clubs were inaugural members of the 1888 football league, where unfortunately they did the league and cup double. Despite being beaten at their hovel (att: 9,000), we could only draw at Leamington Road, but still our attendance was 12,000. Since then, our fortunes have improved, and whilst our head to head in the league is still in the red (W 31, D 29, L 41), we have won more league titles then them, 3-2 (I include the PL title as the top division, a place they have never met us of course). Their highest home attendance in the league is 42,684 against Arsenal in 1938, whilst we entertained them on the Boxing Day 1921 where 52,656 turned up. Their capacity is now somewhere just north of 23,000, average attendance this season 13,329. That will be swelled by the massed hordes of blue and white on the day. They are currently 18th, and have eight fewer points. Their home form has included three wins, QPR, Brentford, and the thumping of Wigan. They have lost to Reading and WBA. Our last win there was the 2-1 game November 15, where a certain Jordan Rhodes penalty secured the points. Preston the facts: The first bit of motorway in Britain was the Preston bypass, constructed in 1958. If I'd have had my way, it would have been built a lot sooner, as anything to avoid driving through Preston can only be a good thing. The word teetotal was apparently coined by the Temperance Society of Preston in 1833. Perhaps as a tribute there should be a blanket ban of their fans talking total shite whilst under the influence on the day? Apparently the first KFC was installed, outside the US of A, in the then town (1965). There was a queue to Penwortham on day one to experience the town's first fine dining emporium. It was the first town to be lit by gas. Shortly after the first KFC was opened allegedly. Blackburn, the facts: We have a proper Cathedral, despite being the most successful town team of all time....... We have the better ground....thank you Jack, the best benefactor of all time......... We have the better history of winning trophies........... We do not consider PNE as a rival.... We have had a supporter play Doctor Who..... Oh, and a bit of bully........ The Beatles featured us in a song...... The smallest dog in British history (a Yorkie) was born in the town.......... All you need to know..... A little rest for our players can only help. Charlie should hopefully be back. TM will tinker a bit because he always does. Debate will rage as to the starting eleven (not my job), and the Nobbers will still believe it's their biggest game ever. So whilst I cannot be there, I wish the five and a half thousand true blues a safe trip, a rampant return, and three points. Put simply, TM's blue and white army!

They are strolling the league, after nine games they are unbeaten, just seen off the team who are third, away. Plus 49 GD. Totally agree. Man Ure parachuted into the league above with no history. As usual, small town club bias. -

Currently 6-0 up at Derby. -
I have been to Villa and been in some horrible upper stand, where you couldn't see anything, similar at Everton. Easy to shut off the access behind the Riverside towards BE and control via DE? Charge them whatever we want it's our ground!!
