We are literally at the bottom for chances created and shots on goal this season, if Diaz goes we need to at least try and replace him. He scores goals out of nothing and without that it will be a massive loss. I’d like to see us go in for Rhys Healey if Diaz goes 👍🏻

It was reported in local and national media at the time that Brittain was around 1 million with add ons and the Szmodics fee was around 1.5 million rising to 2.5.

To be fair we’ve already spent over 3 million on transfer fees this summer, the only problem is we need to spend another 6 or 7 if we want to be competitive this season and like you, I have my doubts that much of any BBD transfer fee will be reinvested into anything other than keeping FFP at bay for another season.

If it is to be done then so be it, there’s still time left in the window for us to spend some of it hopefully. Huge loss regardless when he goes, impossible to replace with one player, we need 4 or 5 in.

I’m pretty convinced if we don’t get a new left back, 2 centre halves and a striker we’ll be finishing in 18th if we’re lucky.

Edun is okay at times but Pickering got targeted tonight and Hoilett and others ran all over him, he really struggled and it’s not the first time he’s had a game like that. He will continue to get targeted and have games like that throughout the season as much as some weeks he’s okay, we desperately need a new starting left back.

Regardless of whether Diaz stays or goes, we are not going to spend 17 million on transfer fees to go on top of the 3/4 we’ve already spent pal.

Gally I’m guessing not quite 100% from Sunday. Big opportunity for Jack Vale, hopefully he shows more than what he’s shown so far. Having Hedges Dacky and Gally all to bring on isn’t bad, hopefully we don’t regret benching them.

I turned to my dad on Saturday when that Diaz goal went in and said there aren’t many others in this division who could score a goal like that, out of pretty much nothing to find the corner like he did was pure class. He’ll be such a loss when he eventually goes.
