  1. Yeah think so, he also had a spell at Fulham didn't he. I seem to remember him scoring a goal from about 40 yards that got Chris Kamara all exicted on Sky.
  2. Article from one of todays papers: Noisy Grounds 1) Portsmouth 97 Decibels 2) Newcastle 96 3) Liverpool 96 4) Man Utd 94 5) Sheff Utd 91 6) Bolton 90 7) Aston Villa 89 8) Blackburn 89 9) Everton 86 10) Reading 84 11) Man City 83 12) West Ham 81 13) Chelsea 80 14) Arsenal 77 15) Fulham 77 16) Wigan 72 17) Watford 71 18) Spurs 68 19) 'Boro 67 20) Charlton 65 8th is fair impressive to say we only get 20k most matches. Teams like Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea get twice that and still can't produce the same volume of noise.
  3. Ha ha I shouted shoot even before he turned the defender. (at the game that is, not at the video). That's two crackers in two home european games.
  4. I thought 3-0 was very harsh on FC Basel. If it wasn't for Brad in goal we could have easily have lost that game. But a brilliant second half peformance especially from Tugay. Also I thought MGP looked to be getting some of his form back.
  5. He certainly knows how to turn defenders. If we supply him with quality service i'm sure we'll see plenty goal from him.
  6. What a terrible match. The two teams were more insterstead in kickin the stuffing out of each other rather than actually playing football. There was only six minutes of stopage time because Drogba was on the floor that much. S'pose you could say it worked for him because he scored in that time.
  7. Was it just a coincidence we looked twice the team once Gally was introduced then.
  8. First half was quite equal I suppose. We didn't make the most of the free-kicks we got today, shame MGP or Sav weren't playing we might have capitalised on thoose situations. We never really looked like conceding until they scored. What was Mokoena doing, i'll never know. Flippin' Sheringham again always sees to score against us. Second half was much better we just lacked the final ball. Then West Ham go and score against the run of play from the 'corner that should never have been'. Grapped a goal late on which is something to take from the game I guess. Roberts out for a while it looks like. I'd be tempted to push Bentley upfront the goal-scoring form he's in and put Gally on the right.
  9. Glad to find the Rovers team is a lot better this year. Although MGP is to quick on this game you can actually take some on with him. Also scored a real cracker with Tugay
  10. I don't know whether to get the new one or not. FM 2005 was basically the same as FM 2006 with just a few new features. So might as well as just get an update for FM2006 because i'm currently enjoying my long time Accrington Stanley game on it and can't bring myself to bring a curtain down on it.
  11. All they hype around it possibly being Pardew's last game will probably work against us. Although saying that I do fancy us to nick a 1-0 win. Records are made to be broke thats what I say.
  12. It makes you wonder if he was still on the pitch on Sunday if he'd have taken one of the two. He's scored a penalty before hasn't he, just goes for power.
  13. I think most of the first team needs to be rested. My Team would be: ---------------------Brown---------------------------- -----Neill-----Todd---- Henchoz ---- McEveley ----- ----Nonda---------- Axe-------- Peter --------------- ------------------- Gallagher ------------------------- ------------- Jeffers------ Roberts ------------------- It looks quite an attacking team that.
  14. Good. Half of the team should have been really because it wasn't just him who was shouting abuse at the ref before both penalties. Clearly trying to delay the penalty being taken and it worked in the end. Also anyone notice the amount of Notlob players in the box before the penalty was taken. For the first one Nolan cleared it and he was already in the dee before the spot-kick was taken. Aren't they meant to re-take it if that happens?
  15. I had a quick glance at trying to count them and I could only spot roughly 750 - 1,000. Can't see where the 27k fiqure came from then.
  16. We should have had four penalties today, not two. We still would have probably mssed them but still.. How was Fortune not sent off as well. First he got booked for kicking the ball way then leading upto the first penalty he takes Bentley out late then he gets back up and chops down Roberts for the penalty. Yet still no second yellow card. The way Notlob basically assaulted the ref after both penalty decisions didn't help and it took a couple of minutes before the penalties were taken. This never helps a player when he's about to take a spot-kick. Also it would have been intersting to see if Savage or maybe MGP would have took one if they'd still been on the pitch. But saying that we should have still won the game comfortable, we had enough chances (even if you exclude the two pens). Now we know ahow Sheff Utd fans felt after Brad's heroics.
  17. Currently listening to: The Killers - Sam's Town The Holloways - So This Is Great Britain? Larrikin Love - The Freedom Spark All superb in their own rights.
  18. Good point lads. Just knew Bellamy would score against us though, it was bound to happen.
  19. Worrying thing was our defence made Emile Heskey look like a superstar today, which he clearly is not. Going foward we looked good especially second half. I thought it was a bad decision to take Jeffers off at the time since he was starting to look good . But then again Roberts did create the goal when he came on, so what do I know. Brilliant debut from Brown, looks like Brad's been teachin him a few things in training.
  20. Go SAS, nice catwalking! , you should have slapped that Eastenders kid though he was annoying.
  21. Shame you weren't on last week 'coz The Automatic were on.
  22. Thankfully Grabbi won't be on hand to miss ever chance we create this time round
  23. I remember he himself lost us that cup tie against West Ham (went to penalties if I remember correctly) but he completely messed up before that.
