Some might not renew next season for whatever reason, so I don't think you can do that really. It is still devaluing this year's season ticket, Personally, I wouldn't mind the next season discount, but a full season ticket should always be the best value and this would just ignore that completely, particularly if you won't renew. Not really the best advert for a full season ticket...
-
The season ticket is supposed to offer the best value for money. How can you then have a half season ticket offering a better per match price? It goes against any sort of retail offer/contract offered in general. Sign up for a longer deal and get a better per month price for example. Think others have mentioned it, but the real issue is that full season tickets are too high to start with, which paints the club into a corner for half season ticket and match ticket pricing.

You might have people who won't renew next year (for whatever reason) and therefore lose out. It would also set a precedent that a full ST is poor value compared to a half ST. A full ST needs to offer a lower price per game than a half ST.
-
They can't do cheap half season tickets now, as it will devalue the full season ticket. Obviously the right thing to do was have this sort of pricing for the full season ticket. I'm hoping if we somehow get promoted, that they will offer cut price tickets for bumper crowds, with the potential drop in revenue easily covered by the TV money (can't see this happening though).

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?
jwlrovers replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hoping there's more to come, but can't remember him doing anything at all apart from his goal. He's been anonymous for the vast majority of minutes he's played so far. -
Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
jwlrovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Brittain - for obvious reasons as you say, but I'm not convinced he's an upgrade on Nyambe yet. Hyam - perhaps signed with 3 at the back in mind? Looks capable enough generally, but I would go back to Ayala and Wharton if given the choice. Szmodics - not seen anything at all from him, barely seems involved in the games he has played in. I would 100% be playing Dack over him at the moment. Hirst - looked promising to me, I would probably start him next match if fit. Mola - who knows? Morton - think he's been hit and miss so far and as you say, probably a squad player to rotate in and out. -
Simon Vukčević - rumour was that he sold all of his possessions and became a monk.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

Surely if this is the case, it would always be rejected initially as the criteria isn't met and they believe they can get it through on appeal? -

If we got JPVH and van den Berg, perhaps we'll play 3 at the back more often? -

Would much rather somebody played out of position at CB than Magloire playing - simply not good enough. -
Leaving it late aren't they?

Season Reviews VHS/DVDs question
jwlrovers replied to SanDimas1988's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
No season reviews have been released since the League 1 season. I had a DVD of the goals scored in 04/05 (don't think they did a full season review), which I believe was a season ticket bonus gift that year and not available to purchase. -

I'm sure I've seen somewhere that he's on more like £17k-£18k -

Pretty sure I've seen figures with Gallagher being on over £15k. £10k-£15k would be what I would expect Maja would be on, should he come here. -

That's only £75,000 a month, so roughly £18,750 a week. Probably a little decrease and it seems within our structure. -

Not been to a night game for some time... where is good for parking for an easy exit (i.e. not at Ewood itself)? Don't mind paying, rather that than have a massive walk. -
Biggest footballing joy next year

Always Rovers -
I can't believe how many comments I'm seeing still supporting TM. At literally any other club in professional football, he would be gone by now. He came in and did a good job steadying the ship and getting us back up at the first attempt. However, he has long since gone stale and well exceeded his lifespan here. A change needs to happen, as it does with every manager at some point. The resentment will grow, which is a shame as had he gone a year or two ago, he would be remembered as doing a good job... it has tipped much more the other way now. As for SW, he just seems completely out of touch with the area and our fanbase. Everything he does is to try and milk more money out of fans, which adds to the contempt most already have for him and I doubt even achieves his money making goal. Both to go ASAP and hopefully we can recapture the soul of the club, which dissipated some years ago.

Match preview seems to think BBD will be involved - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2021/october/16/preview--rovers-v-coventry-city/ "...Mowbray is hopeful that Ben Brereton Diaz will be able to play a part just hours after jetting back from South America having scored in back-to-back games for Chile over the international break." -
Ah great, cheers.

How many are usually at the U23 games in Leyland and do you just stand or sit as you like? Not been down there before, but might give it a go tonight with my son.
