  1. I’ve said from the beginning I felt the was staggered and inclusive of add ins, percentage and wages... im not sure what point you are trying to make?
  2. I still think that we’ve agreed to a staggered deal even if it’s suggested that the ultimate price is expensive. Not sure why you struggle to accept that really! Secondly - you seek out my opinion all the time hence your reminding us about previous comments - why on earth would you be suprised that I still say what I think, as you’d say it “fake news”... You do realise that Trump says “fake news” to stories he personally disagrees with? Not necessarily things that are actually “fake”? The irony of that intended insult is almost overbearing, Boris.. (Boris Johnson a well known public troll and moron)..
  3. He said “forget about the price now and concentrate on the player. He's a 19-year-old boy. We're not going to burden him and expect him to win games on his own” So forget about the price, remember he’s 19 and stop expecting this to be a barometer of his success! It’s not difficult Boris.
  4. Least if you’re quoting - don’t forget the very next line; “Let's forget about the price now and concentrate on the player. He's a 19-year-old boy. We're not going to burden him and expect him to win games on his own.”
  5. Is this lamberts record? No surprise, spineless no mark!
  6. Altered to echo my own view point !
  7. You should be careful what you say...!
  8. Graham particularly was a god send on defensive corners yesterday - I think we restricted them to less than 5 and i think Graham blocked/cleared three of them.
  9. But that means changing the system to accommodate and since the Dack/Graham combo has been effective in this league - I’d say stick with the 4231
  10. Like I said - the intentions, reasons and reactions to the errors they’ve made are fuel for a long and convoluted debate, from the absurd to the utter ridiculous; Facebook messages about potential targets, text messages from fans on line ups, then the utter negligence in terms of a “contracts for the boys” mentality and then everything else on top. Thing is, that’s in the past. The Raos need to keep pumping in the maximum possible within reason, continue to run the club with an actual board structure and remit from Ewood, allow those “target set” employees to make decisions on hiring proper managers and signing players and finally - staying away from them personally having any remit about a sport and club they’ve never fully understood. Apologies in words are meaningless. Compare us to 12 months ago though, ignoring that they put us in league 1 ultimately, we are a lot closer to returning to the top ten or mid table premier league club that they inherited. If they can achieve that, I’d accept that as apology. Minimum.
  11. It’s hard to really give a complete opinion on this because I know many people would have plenty to say. The crux is, the Rao ownership have made considerable errors and the fans paid for it. The reason for those “errors” is obviously disputed and I don’t want to get into that. The problem I have with hostility or a constant grudge is it does nothing positive for me or the club. Hate ain’t healthy. Especially when Rovers are a key form of entertainment/escapism. Finally - the future is far more important. Do I believe a “more welcomed Rao” might be beneficial long term? I guess it depends how long they intend to stay - and they’ve never even considered the option to sell. Would I be able to accept them at the club again without feeling obliged to boo? I’m not sure I could answer that question because timing would be key.
  12. I have to say I can understand the confusion/frustration at the lack of starts, a lot better than I can understand the readiness to say he’s a potential Davies or Grabbi.
  13. 2 crates of Blue Nun?
  14. I don’t drink blue nun but i didn’t want to break the bank! Any standard Shiraz will do. I have a feeling you will be paying out on this bet...!
  15. If he gets ten goals this season, I think @Mercer should buy a case of the blue nun for the board.
  16. I’ll wager you one bottle of chateauneuf du pape that Brererton will be a fixture of our first team eleven come March 2019. If he is bombed out on loan or to the reserves by this time next year, call it a Borelo.
  17. I’ll be skint in jan but fancy it
  18. Exactly why I mentioned ridiculous examples. Do you even read Mercer’s posts? Last week it was “he’s 19, Mbappe is only that age”...!
  19. Wouldn’t normally respond but since you’ve kept the personal stuff away, let’s have a new start. 1. The BBC said; “The 19-year-old could make his switch to Ewood Park permanent in January for a fee worth up to £7m.” Key caveats - “could” and “up to”. Compare that to the LET- if the journos don’t have their stories straight, the my assumption is it's un-disclosed and likely convoluted- ie dependent on performances, promotion and a sell on. Potentially even including his 3/4 year contract value in the figures. Well respected and articulate poster @JHRover suggested we’ve likely agreed half of that upfront, and I’d suggest it’s even less. 2. The idea of signing younger “projects” isn’t specific to our ownership, nor should it be seen as simply “capital building”. I imagine we’d be in a different place if they’d followed this protocol this from day one. Especially if we’d added lots of potential after relegation, as opposed to signing older players with questionable motives and huge salaries. My view is he has hardly had a chance to show his talents yet, but has impacted games recently upon arrival. I can’t say for certain that I think B.B. is a quality player, but to get to the opposite of that already, I’d have to assume our scouts are shocking, Forrest have an awful youth setup and the England technical team are also completely clueless. The reality for me is, I feel excited to see us implementing this type of strategy. Our young first team squad will develop, compare Nyambe to the last time in the league. Adding more potential and competition for places is key long term.
  20. Have a look at his appointment thread from the beginning and you will see why Blueboy and a couple of others will find fault in anything they can! Coincidentally - at least two hyper-critics constantly drag another poster for saying he’d give Coyle “10 games” yet they sit with baited breath ready for Tony to make a decision they can disagree with. ”Tony’s lost the plot...”
  21. So in a nutshell; you think: 1. Assumption that there is something nefarious or dodgy about the transfer and also assumption that the face value claim he was 7m, even though in 2018 that isn’t “extraordinary” and even though still there is little chance it was all upfront. 2. Your opinion of his abilities based on a handful of cameos and further assumption because we prefer to start a goal scoring number 10 upfront as opposed to others. No worries. I personally prefer not to assume the worst all the time, and to give people and players more time to show their value and skills. Each to their own.
  22. Using ridiculous examples, Jadon Sancho is ripping it up this season, he is pretty much Dortmund’s main man along with Reus keeping Pulisic out of the team and they’re top. 12 games, 6 assists, 4 goals, into the England setup and looking like potentially a future world class player. He’s only 18. They bought him 15 months ago for 8m and he barely made an impact for the first season only 17 apps mostly from bench. I’m guessing if a technical director shared your philosophies, he wouldn’t have been afforded the luxury of that time! I hear Burnley are looking at hiring one, can I suggest you get involved
  23. You’re welcome to that opinion but Jesus Christ I hope the backroom staff have a bit more patience!
  24. Mulgrew was on 14k last season with DG and Evans as top earners. No way they’ve been doubled up. Imbalanced recruitment, or just unrealistic expectations of our recruitment? You point me out a striker as good as DG at what he does, available on on a similar decent wage in this division. I don’t share the expectation that we could've replaced him, Conway, Mulgrew et al in one foul swoop with a limited budget. A similar example was hooked by the Sheff Weds manager at HT yesterday- Fletcher, who is reportedly on 40/50k a week.
  25. Agree - he is a key figure on the pitch and in the dressing room. I also think we have to use him sparingly - a long term injury or problem to him at the moment could derail us or force a complete change in setup.
