Replying to questions; Id put Brererton as the fourth option after Graham, Dack and Armstrong on the basis he has spent less time around the squad. A goal or an assist in a decent performance up top could change this opinion but I can only go off what I see so far. In terms of wide berths, I’ve not been particularly impressed with KP however he certainly upped his game at WBA so I’d personally persevere tomorrow. Probably put Conway before B.B. too - including AA and Bennett for the wings. Not sure of relevance and comparison to Nuttall. If it’s relevant to the numbering - then I ask why that’s important! Do I think we could’ve added more quality for the same price if it’s 6/7m plus a decent wage? Yes. Do I think we’ve paid anything like suggested upfront? No.

Good points in the main but just to make a point about the last part - we should be bringing him on to benefit the team not his experience or “how he looks” ie if the wingers looking bolloxed or we need to keep a target man on, perhaps he is better suited to that berth. Things can change rapidly in football though and I think that B.B. offers us more of a standard striker for changing to 2 up top. I know TM ain’t done this yet, but that’s because we’ve lost 5 games in 12 months playing with one up top. Another aspect- I’d also suggest, without evidence obviously, that the signing of Armstrong including wages will have probably cost us more in the 2018/19 season budget. The cost argument from last week is negated by the fact wages/fees have been going up exponentially for 30 years. 6/7m is literally peanuts when you factor in we paid Dixon Etuhu nearly twice that in wages.

See all my doubt with the Brererton deal is on the actual cost. Im convinced that the fee will only be 7m if we are promoted, certain appearances/goals etc. I just don’t think a newly promoted team is going to destroy all semblance of a new structure (remember it’s only 13/14months from a complete squad and wage overhaul) upon promotion, on a 19 year old prospect. To quote @S8 & Blue “the published fee is for the forest fans”...

He’s been here 6 weeks - on 10k a week + a decent signing fee, you’d have plenty of deposit for a 600k house.

A good scientist will move humanity towards understanding the answers to the questions about free will, the meaning of life etc. By experimentation and research. I don’t agree, Mowbray might over think team selections but I can’t ever recall him picking players for anything but form/impact. Besides what loyalty does he have to Leutwiler? Makes little sense “confused icon”...!
