  1. No we will struggle. Venkys are the problem but for some strange reason refuse to get involve in the practicals. They just deal with the financials. Mowbray should have been long gone by now. Other than a couple of freebies and an inexperience loanee on the bench along with Gally & Ben who will not be match fit, I can't see the team sheet for the opening game against Swansea being any different. Armstrong won't play due to developing a mysterious injury, the real reason being the lads in the office are still hopeful of selling him. This thread is quite busy for an opening friendly so expect a recording breaking number of pages for the first home game. "We want Mowbray OUT, we want Mowbray Out...."
  2. Looking at those figures posted by @J*B we may be paying too much in wages but the comparison is against a £3.2m fall in turnover. Venkys should be asking why both Leeds & Brentford get a return for less directors remuneration and what about the player write-off of over £6m in two years?? Is that just unlucky, bad accounting or poor management?
  3. Be very surprised if Rovers go anywhere near Sam McQueen from what I've read, the lads had some bad luck with injury. No football in over two years, then on loan to Middlesbrough in 2018-19 for 5 games. Armstrong's transfer will be crucial in sorting out any new blood in our club but my confidence in the current management structure is that low I'm struggling to see this being sorted out in time for an abled squad to hit the road running.
  4. Yeap. It was "Tony, Tony give us a wave". And he did but sadly not the wave goodbye that many of us want.
  5. Wouldn't say its a special test centre at Ewood as its been there for months but all the same got the test along with the NHS result after buying a ticket this morning from AFC Fylde.
  6. Their thinking is keep quiet about the transfer embargo & we'll sell thousands of season tickets, including to those who bought last season, dangle the £15 discount and shop sales will go through the roof. A difficult season coming up and we can't do a thing about it. Our only hope against relegation rests with the young talent we already have coming through the ranks.
  7. Desperate to see Mowbray go. What a waste of a season we are now heading into. Why hasn't he walked?
  8. Had an e-mail 18th June ".....we're excited to welcome you Back To Live football......"
  9. Very surprised club is selling tickets on 3 sides of the ground. Even if restrictions are fully lifted JW Darwen End upper and lower will be empty. I'm guessing that a few will go for the Riverside for being outside, not needing to walk through the covered area, and there's nothing wrong in that. But it not just covid that will keep fans away because as long as we have Mowbray in charge with his CEO reporting to him, along with the very distant "we aren't showing our faces" owners, people will be saying no, ney, never! Very little thought has been put into this but watch out for part ground closures.
  10. Blackpool promoted back to championship. Can't wait home & away.
  11. Like me you're full of hope. Rovers close season is exactly that and those making decisions are on the beach. Howe won't come north.
  12. You're correct in the don't give a damn bit and I'd add that they don't understand. As business people, just as we saw with the ESL that rightly fell apart, they don't apply any football club philosophy because its not, in their eyes, the right thing to do. Since their ownership began their engagement has been zero other than two visits, one of which started with a snowball and ended with an earlier exit. The odd "letter" put together by a PR team is not their style but those involved know it goes well with the club. Therefore their engagement to appoint a new manager is not their style.
  13. My patients is running out. We need a new management team in now and give them time to plan, bring this club together, get rid of the existing doubt in players that are staying, and give fans hope that we aren't going on another Mowbray journey. I want Mowbray out this weekend.
  14. Good vision from Gally with over the top ball to Big Ben who holds off defender and slots it past keeper. 2 1
  15. Another game we should have won. Team not motivated by a man not capable.
  16. We should be taking advantage of Rotherham going for it.
