  1. I can see Waggott having the same exact chairs in his office.
  2. McGuire is in Sheffield apparantly: https://www.google.com/local/place/fid/0x48798268d04a84e5:0x2cc29eb803022f2e/photosphere?iu=https://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?panoid%3Dd-03UTL1mh8ybp67NR79FA%26cb_client%3Dsearch.gws-prod.gps%26yaw%3D167.04637%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100%26w%3D0%26h%3D0&ik=CAISFmQtMDNVVEwxbWg4eWJwNjdOUjc5RkE%3D&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjEwO-E_4mEAxVRQvEDHXR1ACgQpx96BAgWEAs
  3. " 11:53am We were always told the McGuire deal was a complicated one. They obviously agreed a fee and he flew over but it was never a done deal. Let's see how it plays out." Jackson should be on the phone asking some questions...
  4. 4.20am in Omaha, Nebraska, so better hope Dunc's mum wakes up early and unfollows the Owls on X.
  5. We'll read all about it in his autobiography in ten years time. Send the yank back to America if it means Wharton is staying. Hope the 'snag' was he wanted a clause inserted saying Rovers can buy him back for the same price if we're promoted.

  7. Just trying to flip the switch and 'what if' a little. Careful what you present as facts by the way.
  8. I admit it's not looking good but I don't like to come to a conclusion before we I see more facts.
  9. Until he's officially signed elsewhere or the deadline has shut, I'm not taking that as evidence. Things change quickly. But worrying, most definitely.
  10. Do you always tell your mum everything?
  11. We might rue the day McGuire signed after all, we don't know if he's any good yet. And I'm not sure I believe he was our top target in the summer as he had played around half a season of professional football in the MLS at that time.
  12. There are three sides to the deal so could be leaks from Orlando City or from McGuire's camp, who knows. Doesn't matter really.
  13. Relax and breathe, we don't know for certain what has transpired and what will transpire in the next 12+ hours. In Waggott we trust:
  14. Until McGuire signs for Sheff Wed we shouldn't jump the gun either way. Transfers break down all the time in football, or there are bumps in the road, but Egg knows he has to deliver some incomings if they let our crown jewel go. As for transfers not breaking down the other way, they definitely do. Ennis to Bolton the most recent one.
  15. I'll be paying close attention today and not taking anything for granted until I see an official announcement. With that said I was worried coming into the January window and if we don't see any positive news today it's even worse than I thought possible.
  16. Egg doing an O’Riordan and taking forever to close the deal? Someone slide into McGuires mums dm’s.
  17. No more Swedes please. Only the Olssons were any good for us.
  18. Maybe Orlando City are blackmailing us for McGuire so we're trying to ruin their Brekalo deal... Like the time we bid for £5m Cantona after telling Man United to f off a number of times in their chase for Shearer.
  19. Did we piss someone off? https://x.com/gamstjones12/status/1752769795336933863?s=20
  20. Brekalo for the money mentioned (£3m) is good business. Preferably should be turning 24 and not 26 this year, if we want to make a profit on him, but he's a good defender with the right mentality. Can easily double our money in a year on him. We have enough versatile players to plug a hole or two in the interim of players coming back from injury, but certainly wouldn't mind a central midfielder next. And a goalkeeper would be a plus too but that ain't happening. Who's getting excited LOL
  21. We have a 12-month option for extention, as well as him being younger than 24 so a tribunal would set the fee. In any case we won't be left with nothing.
  22. That's a lot more than the $2.3m mentioned yesterday.
