  1. How dare you. The Official site has a Rough Guide to Rotterdam. Or till you sober up, whichever is longer.
  2. £46 for LFC fans today.
  3. Dunno if it's everyones cup of tea, but have been to Gormleys Another Place at Crosby beach today. 100 cast iron life size figures buried in the beach over a mile or so. Free too! Details here.
  4. Straight after the match, I said that was our worst home performance of the season. Having watched MOTD this morning, that maybe a little harsh. However, the main problem for me is there was no cutting edge. Tugay and Mokeona play to near the defence. The gap between them and the front two is too large, and makes it difficult to get the ball in accurately to the two strikers. In addition, there seems to a policy of playing the ball in from wide, and not ever trying to get round the back of the defenders. If you get the defenders turning and facing there own goal you create loads more scoring chances. MGP and Bentley go for easy option each time. Look at Emerton, and Gally against Basle, who created the 3rd by getting round the full back and cutting the ball inside. What was crowd, 26K? More than I expected TBH.
  5. My secretary refuses to "Do my donkey work" for me. So I fired her. Will you do it for me Walls?
  6. Excuse my paranoia but money taken from bank account by Blackburn Rovers=definitely got tickets?
  7. I was under the impression that the remainder of unsold tickets were to go on open sale today, as indicated on the post by key76. I have just checked on the official site ticket info., and now says that general sale is from Monday. It states that Season ticket holders and members can purchase from Thursday, so in theory just ring up or call in and they should sell you a ticket in line with those criteria. However, the whole breakdown of the priority of ticket sales seems a little baffling. No way can they clear 2,000 applications over a period of 4 days.
  8. Your maths is poor W, 16,000+8,000=24,000.
  9. Other than when they play us, I really couldn't give a toss about United as a club. Sure, Rio is a total knobjockey, the fans come from Ireland and Norway, etc but they just don't upset me like they used to. Mid 90s, when they seemed to cheat us every time we played them, they wound me up.But they move in different circles to us and most other clubs in England. There is a scumminess to United, all of which various posts have covered, but to constantly refer to them a such , esp on here makes us look like footballing chavs, resentful, jealous, spiteful and more concerned about them than ourselves.
  10. How are they confirming them Stu?
  11. Impressive Andy-how do you mean confirmed?
  12. I'll allow that one in the sense of good humour Phil
  13. Don't worry about it, just old miseries like me, Jan and so on. I meant generally, not particulary your preview V. But the thread title is a little unambiguous.
  14. So, if there were say 800 who went to Salzburg, and 400 to Krakow, and assuming that the 800 were all different to the 400, and the whole of those 1200 people all have applied for Rotterdam tickets, that leaves 1300 for Season ticket holders and members. Could be a little tight.
  15. Interesting preview, but I think that the constant use of the term Scum when referring to United is not doing this board any favours. Just my opinion.
  16. Wot no Lee Bowyer?
  17. He obviously has more faith in Mokoena than most people on here do.
  18. A Man Utd supporting friend of mine, who has been going since the late 70s, sold his season ticket to another friend this week. Apparently there is no longer a waiting list for season tickets, and you can walk up on most match days and get a seat now.
  19. Anyone bother getting one of them Sky Gnome things, were you can hear any Sky channel in any room?
  20. Is my memory playing me up, or did I hear "The Final Countdown" being played before the recent league cup match versus Chelsea? I also noticed that last night the public address system was significantly lower in volume than usual, maybe something to do with European sound at football matches regulations.
  21. Didn't stop them advertising a QUICK BEER Token on the Jumbotron though. You could beat everyone WITH them they're that bad now. BASLE BRUSHED ASIDE I agree with Paul, I enjoyed last night as much as I have enjoyed any game for ages, it was entertaining stuff with a few goals and the timing of the scoring meant everyone left the ground buzzing, which may help future ticket sales. My only gripe was Gray-clearly no confidence, lacking match fitness and sticks out like a sore thumb in that side. And the Basle fans looked like a local GAY PRIDE march had taken a wrong turn and ended up in the Darwen End by mistake. Oh, another gripe-is it my paranoia, or do they deliberately not put the teams on the big screen to make people buy more match day programs?
  22. We should use Benni like we used Shearer-Just give him the ball and let him win matches for us, I really think he is that good. His skill, control, vision and finishing are world class.
  23. So where are we meant to sit now then? It's yet another example of political madness gone correct.
  24. Looking forward to tonight, although I have the strong feeling that we will lapse back to our more recognisable selves in Europe , IE a one all draw. Rovers are the biggest footballing foul-up recidivists. Don't think the UEFA booze ban will help Blackburns thirsty footballing fans flock to fortress Ewood. "Forget it, it's fairly freezing outside, fink I'll fore-go footy in favour of filling my fast filling fat belly." Forecast? 4-4.
