  1. Presty-Is it true that the Welsh word for Snooker is Snwcer?
  2. Saw Porcupine Tree last night at 53 degrees Preston. I was wholly underwhelmed. Anyone else go, or seem them live? Was I just unlucky or are they always a cure for insomnia?
  3. Some freakie looking slap head ginger sideburns mon won one last night at Ewood by waving his hand round a bit.
  4. There would be little point in a player signing for us, on the basis of a release clause that allows him to leave if a bigger club came sniffing, then having the clause at £50million or something equally unlikely to be met.
  5. I don't think Benni will ever sign for United.
  6. Thanks Cocker, I was gonna PM you with this problem-I appear to have now got the hang of it, and downloaded the plug in for MP3 export. Happy now!
  7. I am trying to edit some MP3 files, and have downloaded AUDACITY. All I want to do is to edit, fade in/out and similar-will it work , and how easy is it?
  8. Not a football pundit, but Mark Nicholas on SKYs Cricket coverage is the most annoying plank ever, with his constant use of hyperbole after each ball is bowled. Truely a tool.
  9. From t'BBC site
  10. Tickets for the league game at Old Trafford are £36. Did not go last season, were they that price last year?
  11. I saw him score a pen, he fell over as he hit it and ended up on his arse. Went in though, is falling over his trademark?
  12. The Premier League are I think an affliliate of the FA, hence the full title of FA Carling Premiership.
  13. BBC-Revealing interview wth Benni
  14. Not really into the `MySpace` music scene type thing, much prefer CDs and records. But the Arctic Monkeys album is very good indeed. Hardly a bum track on it, and the writing of the lyrics was insight full. So no Bob, you are not.
  15. If he is genuinely ill with mental problems then that's a bit harsh C.
  16. Saw this South Park rip take of the game last week and it made me laugh a lot.
  17. Any decent class manager or coach with Ferdinand, Terry, A Cole, J Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and Owen could win a tournament. Except Sven.
  18. Kings of Leon are the band I like the most right now, and are playing at the Apollo in April. Sadly, I could not get a ticket as it sold out VERY quickly, if anyone knows of a spare or two I would appreciate a quick tip off.
  19. Well Moores has cashed his hand in to more US investors, whom I suspect see in Liverpool what Egghead saw at West Ham, (IE the flood of dosh on its way). At least Liverpool will actually be in the Premiership next season to reap the benefit. LFC SOLD!
  20. I am genuinely excited that DD is in tomorrows squad, and from what I have read I know a few others will be too. Some posters on here have commented on the lines of we should not have re-signed him, too much of a risk, never go back and so but I reckon even those people must have an element of joy about seeing one of the very few genuinely local boys with potential to play interntional football back at our club again. I brings Pauls post of some time ago back into sharp focus RE We Need A Hero. If he does the business, Tugay carries on a wee while, Derbyshire continues his progress etc then I can see some of the feel good factor at Ewood returning in the next few months. Good luck Dunny, there will be a big welcome back from me in the Jack Walker upper tomorrow!
  21. I have a signed copy of his book. A revealing read, and very interesting to any Rovers fans of the 30 something variety who grew up watching him bang them in mercilessly week in week out.
  22. Paying with luncheon vouchers and white fivers doesn't count Mum.
  23. We do sing in the Jack Walker stand, but you can't hear us 'cos of the bloody drum. And some of the people in there are actually dead.
  24. One for AS here, after beginning the process of finding all my old vinyl stashes in several obscure places around my mansion, I came across a ten inch single by I, Ludicrous. It features the songs Preposterous Tales as the main A side, with Three English Football Grounds and They've Stolen Spocks Brain on the B side. Orginally released on a flexi disc (kids go and ask you dad) and featured at number 11 in John Peels Festive Fifty of 1987, which can be seen here with samples available. Other notable charters that I remember well from that year apart from the obvious Smiths, Fall, New Order and Wedding Presents efforts include the remarkable Colorblind James Experience number I am Considering... which notched at number 47. That is one quality Festive 50.
