  1. We do sing in the Jack Walker stand, but you can't hear us 'cos of the bloody drum. And some of the people in there are actually dead.
  2. One for AS here, after beginning the process of finding all my old vinyl stashes in several obscure places around my mansion, I came across a ten inch single by I, Ludicrous. It features the songs Preposterous Tales as the main A side, with Three English Football Grounds and They've Stolen Spocks Brain on the B side. Orginally released on a flexi disc (kids go and ask you dad) and featured at number 11 in John Peels Festive Fifty of 1987, which can be seen here with samples available. Other notable charters that I remember well from that year apart from the obvious Smiths, Fall, New Order and Wedding Presents efforts include the remarkable Colorblind James Experience number I am Considering... which notched at number 47. That is one quality Festive 50.
  3. Was the parcel Davids tuck delivery? Would put any mans back out.
  4. And I no longer care about this.
  5. Can you talk about someone else now please? Ash and The Bluetones are to play at 53 Degrees (Preston SU venue, Fylde road) in February. Two decent bands, should be decent night ot two.
  6. Or maybe it will? Williams wants price reductions!
  7. Edit- need some sleep
  8. Some interesting views from back then...makes for an interesting read I thought.
  9. `Cos West Ham now pay in Krona. And biscuits.
  10. Yea Bobby, he's starting in the middle on Saturday with Sav. Tugays having a party at Topkapi Palace on Deansgate till six so Dunnys gonna fill in for a bit.
  11. Hadn't thought of that! There's a club shop now?
  12. Whilst waiting for the pubs to open last week, I watched the CGI movie version of The Magic Roundabout (yes the old kids TV show). Felt like I had dropped some acid, it was highly bizarre.
  13. Can anyone tell me anywhere that will print " Ozz 9 " on the back of my already purchased 1980s style retro shirt? There's a guy who drinks in The Moorgate pre-match with "Garner 10" on the back.
  14. Despite the arguments over his fitness, the purchase price and ALL the other influencing factors and problems, I for one just want Dunn playing for Rovers. It's a case of heart ruling the head. Sad, but there needs to be a little emotion in football somewhere these days. All Rovers fans can see a little bit of themselves in Dunn, local boy makes good and plays for his favourite club and that. Can't help but feel a little disappointed in us not signing him, but for the wrong reasons!
  15. That is superb-Shame those skills are often called on during a match. Great spot.
  16. Seems like the pressure of the home crowd may be putting Derbs off? Two goals, both away from Ewood.
  17. Gally injured.
  18. I don't know why, AxesFirstTouch, but for some reason I seem to think you are not that keen on Aaron Mokoena. Cant quite put my finger on it, but I definitely get that impression.
  19. Was he in Forrest Gump?
  20. Tugay at Turf last time, watching the second half from the tunnel. This was taken just after I told him that I loved him. Seriously.
  21. Mrs Smith-you would wouldn't you? Mark would be too wired to stop you an' all.
  22. I can't see any image AS, but I presume it's advocating Mark E Smith On the subjuect of slightly less accessible music, anyone familar with Daniel Johnston? Watched a re-run of the film made about him last night on re-o-run TV channels. Found it very interesting, sad and inspiring all at once! Daniels home page is here. Great drawings too, as seen on Kurt Kobains Tee shirts during the early 90s.
  23. As a white northern male of 40ish, do I pronounce it Deeetroit Spinners or D'troit Spinners?
  24. Can we have our tenners back then please?
  25. Name the English league grounds (The top 4 divisions) which are regularly used for rugby matches, either code.
