[Archived] Anyone Miss The Old Ewood ?

Fife-are you the grandfather off the Wurthers Originals advert? -
The message that despite everything, there are still 10K+ barm cakes daft enough (me included) to still turn up for more of the same week in week out. Maybe "The Frogs" will bring a full allocation of 8K?

I missed the first two days of secondary school in 1978 due to my attending the Reading Rock festival that year. Saw, amongst others, The Jam (Legends), Status Quo, TRB, Patti Smith, and John Peel was the MC and swore like a trooper-a bit of a shock. Handbags, if you go to the away pub, The Fernhurst, then make sure you try the Ewood Bakery first-best pies in Blackburn. (When he opens that is, usually too busy servicing his hareem of nubile pie sellers.)

Do they sell "Wine"? Fill up at Hilton Park Handbags. It's grimmer up north.

Rovers 1 (Benni) Nancy Boys 1 (Hardy Drew) Ooh La La. -
The first half was only as bad as the City and Wigan games, only this week the other team actually managed to score a couple-Martins goal was a stunner. Second goal was awful, esp mickey Gray who had a 'mare all afternoon. Some bad, bad omens yesterday, home supporters arguing with each other in the Jack Walker near me (not 1864!) And the very noticeable booing of a home player, Lucas Neill. Reminds me too much of the last relegation season. Sending off was predictable, Henchoz is slow and was limping as well so when he got skinned he hauled his man down. Upto then, I thought he was our only performer. Like Capt Kaos, at this point I had given up and no longer cared what was going to happen next. I was a big joke. Second half, Pedersens goal was brilliant and set the half up for a stirring comeback. But with ten men, after 75 minutes they started to flag and tiredness took over, understandably. By the way, MGP got the Peter Jackson man-of-the-match award. Finally, how many times do the opposition score when the goalie comes up at the end to try and save the match? Never, except against Rovers! (Not paranoid honest!) PIE WATCH We have a winner! Finally got to try the Meat and Potato. After my initial disapointment at the price, and the integrity of the case, the taste and texture of the filling made it this writers choice of BEST PIE IN THE GROUND. Nearly lost the last bit as MGP scored whilst I was still eating it! Since I moved from the Darwen End though I have missed the Ewood Bakery

Wigan ticket details announced, they have put the price up £5 from last year to £30, a modest 20% increase. And yet we are still given 5100 allocation. Can't see us selling out this year...

No Jeffers, Zurab or Emerton. So it's Help Me Nonda with Benni and the Jets up front, Oujia and Hedgehog at the back, Lucas and punchbag at FB, the two girls on the wings with God and Headless in the middle. 3-0 to the Grovers.

I too have that brochure, it is in black, white and blue!

Shearer has scored more goals at Ewood playing for Newcastle than anywhere else! NUFC OFFICIAL STATS They couldn't sneak him on could they?

[Archived] Bbc Sports Personality Of The Year Award
Ozz replied to Timmy's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
None of the above. Where' s Robbie Savage, he had a great year and he is a sports personality. -
The problem for me is simple. Last season we had flair, skill, pace and a very good work rate all over the park. This season, without Bellamy, Dickov, Kuqi, Reid,Nelsen the work rate has dropped massively, little pace without Bellamy and the result is becoming evident.

After winning the title, he said it was "Obscene". A little like his syrup.

Because we don't have enough fans.

Around 5-6,000 Rovers fans there that day-I went on the coach, they were tons of them lined up along Stanley Park. That was a superb Everton team, I remember watching Lineker and thinking how awesome his finishing was. The jug-earred @@@@.

Whose pies are they?

Well if Flemings off in the new year window, then I say stick him in the reserves and let him rot. If his heart is not interested in writing comedy for this site for the rest of his so called life then get rid now! Bring Enoch in and see how he makes us laugh.

[Archived] Blackburn Rovers 2 - 0. Fulham Fc
Ozz replied to rog of the rovers's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
We played really well today, Benni was ace-just beats everyone. Happy to win, Fulham were poor, and their following was an all time low for a Prem match. Fair play to those that did make the journey-true fans. PIE WATCH Flaky steak-poor, no pretentions of grandeur, traditional oval shape. Less damp than previous varieties, trade descriptions people may want to investigate the terms `Flaky` and `Steak`. Overall 4/10. -
Max, i have emailed you. Ozz
