Agree totally after watching the alternatives play last Saturday. Remember folks we will be playing in Premier League 2 this season. Not third tier.
-
I hope we don't need to rely on Caddis at all this season. I pretty sure I saw he had a belly on him yesterday.

The biggest queue on Boxing Day was actually people collecting pre paid for tickets, not buying them.
-
Think you have to factor in the Boxing Day game was round Christmas. (As it would be). I'd be very surprised if the main factor in applying the surcharge was to eliminate a queue at the ticket office.

That's not junk mate. That's history.

Subject to Police approval. It needs volunteers urgently to act as marshalls or police could deny the road closure orders.

The AGM went very well. About 20 people showed up which considering all the aspects was excellent. RH Tim Farron MP was awarded an honorary Trust membership, and was due to attend, however a late change of plan scuppered this ( prob Brexit or summat). Notes of meeting can be found below. AGM

Reminder that the Trust AGM is this coming Thursday at Hare And Hounds. First AGM after a successful season.

Simple is the key. They play September before home games now to try and get Smallwood song going.

That's 14 years ago I still stand by my reply from back then. I was at the 1985 game, one of the ugliest atmospheres I have ever come across watching Rovers. Tension, fear, the malevolent feeling of violence in every challenge on the pitch and everysong sung off it, and yes Jimmy Hill lost the plot completely on MOTD..... Great times.

Maybe at the end of a particularly turgid EWMC meeting, possibly in January.

April Moon in Band Pub were great-played Americana, Bowie etc. The guy was Canadian, when they lifted up the Blue And White coffin with a Chucky style doll dressed in a Rovers kit you coiuld see him think WTF am i doing here? And yes Hob Inn guy was a great singer too.

Was a great do. Got a few good photos. Will put on when I can be arsed/get the site to work properly.

The Hobb Inn and Trades Hall are having a proper day of it.
-
Dunno. Each licencee is sorting their own pub out. There are about six or seven locations in the 'route'...all pubs inc Trades Hall.

Rovers relegation 'Coffin Burial' 'and associated shenanigans is this Sunday, July 30th. Noon start at The Hobb Inn Bamber Bridge. 9 Church Rd, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 6EP The coffin then taken to most other pubs in Bamber Bridge, with approx half an hour in each. Bamber Bridge is a direct train ride from Blackburn , Mill Hill, Cherry Tree etc. Should be a great day out...pubs putting entertainment on I'm told.

The plan as of last Thursday when I attended a meeting in Bamber Bridge, is to held a scaled down event on 30th July. There will be no procession, or large scale event as per the last Preston one with road closures and floats and so on. The plan is to get the original Rovers coffin from the Trades Hall pub, then take it from pub to pub, with events inside each pub. The coffin is to be ferried around in a longish private vehicle, and it to be taken into each pub taking part. I should know timings and venues in a weeks time or so, once the licensees who wish to be involved in the events have declared their interest in being involved. This just takes out all the H&S, road closures, marshaling/policing requirements which have been the stumbling block all along. The aim is to withhold the long standing tradition, and for the pubs of BB to earn a few quid too, so all Rovers fans are urged to support the day. Short train ride from Mill Hill etc!
